I used to do a bodyguard position with the crowes for many years. The blonde girl with dreads was my girlfriend at the time. Her name is Ingrid and she's from Germany. They needed some extras for the shoot and I said she would be perfect and the boys agreed. Best 10 years of my life. Sadly we broke up after a year or so cause she had visa issues and had to return home.
I don't have to look like a new hippie to love the Black Crowes. My job makes me have to look like a damn playboy bunny BS. I love their music and mostly their Bsides, if you will. When I go to their shows it's because they make my "Soul Sing" and that is the talent and magic they do. Cheers!
Saw them for the first time last weekend at the Wakarusa Festival in Arkansas. No doubt, one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Just awesome. I actually felt the Holy Spirit moving through me when they ended with this song. The whole show just felt like some kind of antebellum, big-tent Pentecostal revival. Chris just reminds me so much of everything I've ever read about Rasputin. And we really need his healing powers today in this environment of ideological extremes.
