- GBRf Class 66 No. 66792 is seen here struggling to start as it departs Hyde North working the 6G92 Peak Forest - Small Heath Lafarge on the 4th June 2021. Cheers to the driver for the tones & thumbs up.
Gotta love 66s working heavy freight trains.
Fabulous capture, thank you for sharing it. I bet the driver really appreciated being brought to a stand there!!!
Cheers, a positive comment on this video for once. Yeah he was brought to a stand due to a class 323 coming off the adjacent Hadfield line.
Quality driver of decades experience 😉. JG.
Was it you at the controls?
@@trainsurfersNo,not that day. I was tuther side of the Pennines with a Tug. I know who it was though. Talking of Tugs, there should be at least 10 more joining the fleet soon. We need them!! JG.
@@railfreightdrivergallagherGBRf Are they the Tugs coming from DB?
From Toton,yes.@@trainsurfers
Also note the catch points moving right at the end once the train has exited.
Stunning video! Another tremendous video! Grand shot and capture there! Caught this myself at Cheadle Hulme, a really small tone and it was struggling past there too. That sound is incredible! A nice driver on the controls too! Straining that was! Excellent in every shape or form! Fantastic camera work and detail as usual! What more could you want!? A perfect example of why I recommend your excellent channel! Job well done and top class as well! 66792 has been working alot recently. I would have hoped for something like last week but oh well. You cant have everything! Really enjoyed, thanks for sharing! Keep up the fabulous work!
Take care, stay safe and well, keep up the fabulous, inspiring and enjoyable videos we all appreciate your time and effort into them! Have a great weekend and all the best!
Cheers. Yeah a good driver and a shed showing just how powerful a loco they really are.
@@trainsurfers 👍👍 Definitely!
Too long but still this vid is cool. VERY COOL.
YA
That is what happens when you put a Kenwood Food Mixer on a heavy train, like a Ford Pop, lots of noise with very little go. Cannot beat a couple of Grids on such trains for they make the earth shake when the throttle is opened up.
Good video a heavy load and the curve of the line did not help at the start you can see the sand being put down on the line . Why did the train stop there.
Cheers, yeah easily 2 thousand tonnes plus, he had to stop here due a class 323 coming off the adjacent Hadfield line heading towards Guide Bridge.
BEAUTIFUL need for injection current (Amps) from rotating diesel to stator pick-off and then into drive motors. NICE!
Cheers, was a wondering sight and sound.
Heaving and straining, lovely that, more welly please driver haha! A grand shot there, super getaway there, well worth going for! Oh and the flange squeal a joy to listen to, cheers Nick.
Cheers Nick. Sheds showing why they're argubably the most powerful loco in Europe, glad it stopped. Whilst one of us was filming the other was on the other platform chatting to the driver and on it's departure he kept on saying "it won't move".... alot of tonage behind 792 there, weighing in at over 2,000 tones so she had to work her arse off.
@@trainsurfers Lovely!
Great video like it.
Cheers.
Good description
Cheers Les.
Did I see smoke from the traction motors then?
You might of done
No.
🚂👍
Cheers Heavy D
Didnt see a loco struggling....just a heavy load ...curve ...and a decent driver..
Good vid but leave out 'silly' click bait titles😮
Don't be at telling us what titles we can and can't put in our videos. We don't put titles specifically for views, we couldn't give a shit how many views our videos get. We're not criticizing the driver or his driving abilities at all, we're on about how the engine is struggling. The first 40 seconds or so of the video was cut as the train was trying to move but failing to do so.
