Good video wish I had seen it before I did my install. If you don't have a wall plug but just a several foot wire like I do you are in for a treat. I had to cut the clips off in the channel underneath the dishwasher and pull the wire through the channel with some string.

Thanks for sharing I’m getting one tomorrow same brand I don’t remember which model I bought. Self install could save me $100. Merry Christmas. Thanks again
I’m assuming removing is just as easy? My main water line is dripping under my cabinet and want to get it fixed tomorrow. Also is there a reason you put the discharge in the higher hole? Whoever put mine in put both in bottom holes.
Thanks for watching! Removing dishwasher is pretty easy. You’ll just need to follow a few steps in the right order to avoid issues. Check out this video on how to uninstall dishwasher: ruclips.net/video/oqdXxb9tMIc/видео.html As far as drain hose, it’s ok if it’s ran through bottom hole, however, it’s important that the drain hose is elevated under the sink so that it’s higher than the location it’s connected to (either garbage disposal or PVC.) Basically, you want to avoid any water back flowing into the dishwasher and the way that’s done, is to not have a drooping drain hose. Let me know if you have any questions. I can possibly go live on RUclips and walk you through any issues or concerns. Good luck! 😎
One problem, he forgets to remove the white-water plug before installing the L brass adopter. Water do not flow freely into the dishwasher. Big mistake. I would test run one load outside the cabin to check for any leak. Once everything is clear, push it in and level it. He did a good job explaining step by step, DIY. Thank you.
You’re not suppose to remove that. It’s a filter to stop hard water particles from clogging the inlet valve. It’s also not always possible to test the dishwasher before sliding in because your connection lines won’t reach when the dishwasher is pulled out. Thanks for watching!
the drain from my old dishwasher ran to the air gap and the Samsung drain hose connector is much wider than the connection at the air gap. Any suggestions?
It’s ok to use it. It actually threads easier but you can use the brass fitting as well. Most important thing is just confirming you don’t have any leaks when you turn the water on. Try to slide the dishwasher out so you can see the connection while the water is on.
Hello, thank you for the recognition. Congratulations on your new purchase. One thing I'd like to ask just to be sure. My DW80R5060US came with insulation on the back, I noticed you installed without it. If it's just packaging protection it seems a bit of a waste
I recommend keeping all insulation the unit comes with. It helps with sound. The model installed in this video only came with the insulation shown. If you're referring to packaging, then it can be removed. Hope this helps.
My install guide says to replace the brass nut and washer with the supplied plastic ones. Right off, the thing leaked! I re-threaded, still leaked. Added teflon tape, still leaked. Used teflon thread compound and it took awhile to leak. I'm going to try the brass nut.
@@TheAppliancePlug The brass elbow was the only way to connect without leaks for me. After some grief trying to do things the Samsung way, I gave up, but wonder why they don't just make a connection for the 3/8 compression fitting? Fewer parts and a connection that is super easy and reliable.

Hi my new Samsung dishwasher always had 1-2cm of leftover water after a wash so I called a technician over. He said it's because the drain hose is installed too high up (just like in this video) and it's not allowing the leftover water to drain out completely. Instead, I should feed the drain hose below the cabinets. What do you think?
my issue is.. the house I'm trying to install the dishwasher in was using a copper pipe line for the hot water and the stainless steel water hose doesn't connect to the copper pipe.. we don't have a fitting that'll work. the copper pipe just hooked straight to the old dishwasher with an attachment that doesn't fit the new dishwasher
It sounds like you'll need to make some changes to your plumbing in order to adapt to the new fittings. Sometimes a union adapter can be used to transition from one line to the other. However, I recommend you contact a plumber for this situation because I'm not too sure of your exact situation. Good Luck!
Great job!!! Just installed my Samsung Dishwasher flawlessly thanks to you despite the audio problem at the end. Just had to buy another dishwasher because the last Samsung malfunctioned and it caused my wife to trip over it. Fml. But, that’s another story. Probably should have went with another brand but we had to match the Samsung refrigerator that’s been giving us trouble with the ice maker freezing up. Any fixes for that pos? Samsung RF30KMEDBSG/AA
Glad my video helped! Sorry to here about your refrigerator. You may have to fully defrost the ice and avoid removing the ice compartment from inside if you're doing so. Unfortunately, I've heard of that being an issue and I'm not too sure what the exact solution is. Good luck!
You’re absolutely right. The plastic adapter should be used to replace the brass one. I believe the plastic adapter is recommended because it will help avoid cross threading and over tightening of the valve. Both, cross threading and over tightening can be avoided with the brass fitting. However, you have to be extra careful. The brass fitting can easily eat through the plastic connection. I do suggest using that plastic connection. Would you like me to post a short clip showing that step?
@@5thpixel awesome! You got it. It might take me a few days to get a video posted. However, if you’re available tomorrow or Saturday, I can possibly go live and show you. If you aren’t in a rush, I’m sure I can have it posted early next week. Thanks for the sub!! 😁

Yes, me, too. The instructions that came with the washer are some of the worst I've seen. That's how I ended up here! The machine this guy installed didn't have what we have because he used normal screws to attach the machine to the cab on each side.

@@w8bya I realized after watching every video I could find that I had the clips in the right direction but I had somehow bent the light metal piece too far apart. The part that the clip attaches to may have been pulled too far away from the front of that strip and therefore doesn't stay in place the way it's supposed to for you to drive the screw through
What model is the dishwasher you installed? The model I installed in this video did not require brackets to be added. It came with the option built-in. However, I wish I would have pointed that out.

Where did you get your water hose or did it come with it?
This model dishwasher doesn't include the water line. However, check out this dishwasher kit: amzn.to/37AZWAi
@@cindrickalajanearrington3549 purchased the dishwasher kit with the plug and waterline from Home Depot
Glad my video helped! Sorry to here about your refrigerator. You may have to fully defrost the ice and avoid removing the ice compartment from inside if you're doing so. Unfortunately, I've heard of that being an issue and I'm not too sure what the exact solution is. Good luck!
This video helped so much. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
that piece of paper you discarded clearly stated to use the supplied nut, but you did not. will there be an issue by not using it?
You’re absolutely right. The plastic adapter should be used to replace the brass one. I believe the plastic adapter is recommended because it will help avoid cross threading and over tightening of the valve. Both, cross threading and over tightening can be avoided with the brass fitting. However, you have to be extra careful. The brass fitting can easily eat through the plastic connection. I do suggest using that plastic connection. Would you like me to post a short clip showing that step?
@@TheAppliancePlug sweet! yes because apparently, the plastic adapter doesn't fit into the 90 degree elbow. thank you! instant sub!
@@5thpixel awesome! You got it. It might take me a few days to get a video posted. However, if you’re available tomorrow or Saturday, I can possibly go live and show you. If you aren’t in a rush, I’m sure I can have it posted early next week. Thanks for the sub!! 😁
@@TheAppliancePlug you're too kind! but that's not necessary. i'll just look out for your video whenever you post it. i am just finishing my kitchen up now, so can do the dishwasher later, no problem. thank you so much!
@@5thpixel Happy New Year! Here’s the link to a short clip showing how to connect water supply using the plastic adapter:

What does it mean when the washing machine says 4C ive been trying to figure out why it says that every time I turn it on
Thanks man!
No worries! You are welcome!
Best video out there!! Thanks a lot!
Glad it was helpful!
The screws I was provided to secure the washer into the cabinets on each side have a head that is too narrow for the size of the hole. The two holes (once you take the plastic insert out) are quite large. Anyone have this problem? Great video!
Me! Wtf!
@@paulberg6855 there’s another video that shows it . You use the metal bracket provided and snap it off.
@@paulberg6855 ruclips.net/video/nPA6fqw_nCU/видео.html
Yes, me, too. The instructions that came with the washer are some of the worst I've seen. That's how I ended up here! The machine this guy installed didn't have what we have because he used normal screws to attach the machine to the cab on each side.
@@bidotube Would have been awesome if you included a link. :( There are a ton of vids to wade through...
Bro, as we say in Mexico, "Eres chingon!!!" Great tutorial. I'm gonna tackle mine tomorrow. I have the Dacor dishwasher, they should be close to the same, no?
I came here to see how the clips on the side are supposed to hold the dishwasher still. You zoomed over that part. I had everything else already
AGREE 100%. The manual completely fails in explaining how to use them and was hoping this video would explain that part.
@@TheAppliancePlug Our model number DW80R7061US and needed the clips. When I finally got them installed and pushed the unit into it's final position (VERY tight fit) one clip fell off....was NOT happy so I just used one on the side. Wife is not happy with the way it cleans anyway so this whole ordeal has been nothing but a disaster. No more Samsung for us. Also had a Samsung large monitor for my PC crap out after 2 years.....nothing high end about the name anymore IMO.
Thank you so much you really made a useful detailed video, you are awesome 👏 thankful to have found your tutorial on RUclips.
Thank you so much Ariana! I am glad you were able to find my content!
So for this one you just screwed it into the side of the cabinet w/o anything but screws. I take it this dishwasher was made to do this. Correct?
Yes, this particular model has a side-mount option for securing. Some other models may require brackets. There’s also an option to add a bracket under your countertop to mount from the top. Check out this video: ruclips.net/video/6GboHVc4q4Y/видео.html
Thank you! Helped a lot!
Glad it helped!
clean build!
Thank you!
My brand new Samsung dishwasher that I installed yesterday won't let water come in...ive got water all the way to the dishwasher then it stops
Same issue did you figure it out
Typically, there's a short delay when the cycle first starts before it begins to fill with water. Are you still having an issue?
@@TheAppliancePlug I'm not the OP, but I had the same issue. Come to find out, I didn't let it run long enough the first time. I gave it 35-65 seconds and it finally had enough time to cycle the water through! Running our first load now
Posting a response in the event any one else came searching for the same thing I did.
Well done! Thanks
Thanks for watching!
My handyman installed today a new Samsung dishwasher, but we were puzzled that only had 3 plastic legs? 2 in front and 1 in back in middle, there are holes for 2 more on the back but don't hace them, the plastic legs are screw in and out, there were 3 long screws and he put inside the legs, they each have a hole in the middle, the screws are lose, so don't know if this was the screws use, the instructions have nothing about the legs, and can't find anything about the legs, any help will be appreciated
Great job
Very helpful
