Paco Val He's illustrated and the messages are loaded and loud. I saw him frequently at a club in the 70's where I was an employee and his delivery was laid back, it wasn't as quick as it had become during his latter years. During the last few years of his performances it seems as if his acts were speeding up - they were packed with so much damn good stuff - nothing was outside of his scope and nearly everything was a target. The man could not be suppressed. I miss him.

I worked with George Carlin in the 1990s. He was a gentle man with a big heart. I'm gay. He couldn't have cared less. He loved everyone... except phonies and liars. (And, unlike Tim Allen who swore at everyone during our photo shoot, George didn't curse at anyone. He treated everyone with respect.) I miss him. Genius comic.

They will lie more to convict than you will to get off. Judges always believe the police testamony over a defendant or his attorney. A defense attorney has a license that can be taken away by the State which usually is the Plaintiff in criminal cases. Almost 95% of the time people make a plea bargain deal because the State overcharged for the aledged crime committed and don't want to spend more of your money to go to trial and people don't want to stay in jail for a crimes that they didn't commit.

George Carlin was such an iconic person who was ahead of his time. He used comedy to speak the truth because it’s the only way you’ll get almost everyone to agree with you. Those closest to Carlin will tell you that he was a man with a big heart. He was kind and soft-spoken. The George onstage was a character he created to get his point across. He was one of a kind and we desperately need him now more than ever. RIP George. ❤

Almost nobody actually follows the rules in the bible. Its just a prop, like Carlin said, to guilt people who don't read it into doing what they're told by authorities. If someone says "do what the bible says" they're most likely just trying to scam you.
"The American Catholicism" is at minimum a joke. And they really like to disregard the New Testament whenever it gets too ""liberal"", nowadays the "catholic christians" just ignore the Pope as well, who flat out said that global warming is a man-made and most importanly, a moral issue.
At it's "best", it's a political entitlement for them. Interestingly "religious rights" only mattered the last 5 decade when other rights "had to be curbed" to comply with it, but thrown out the window right the second when it's not beneficial. They only give a shit when "the rule" have to apply on someone else, which conveniently just misread enough to perfectly align with their agenda or biases.
So, yeah, I can see how you can't understand as a catholic why they don't abide by the rules, but the answer is, they can't care less about their actual duty, just the act of self-righteous indignation when people fail to comply with their worldview, presented by them as a "higher truth".
