The greatest comic who ever lived. Anyone disagree? He made 5 minutes feel like half an hour, in a good way. Please see his HBO specials if you haven't, before giving me shit.
I graduated high school in 1998 and my parents took me to AC to see him and took me out to a great chinese restaurant - was one of the best presents I ever got! RIP mom and pop
I am taking the opportunity here to say "Chapeau" to the late George Carlin. A dazzling and insightful fellow who knew how to convey, while putting his ideas forth and make you laugh in the process. Mr. Carlin zealously delivered his controversial and spirited presentations without looking at notes which demonstrated a remarkable knowledge of history, cultures, and capability to memorize an enormous amount of information, facts, and stories old and recent. George Carlin was simply "one of a kind" Thanks to the Internet; we can today appreciate and value his work as he brightens up the globe with laughter. George; the world misses you and will never be the same without you!
I remember this as if it was yday....first time I saw this Live I was in absolute TEARS....Brilliant material, fabulously delivered, and the perfect use of facial expressions, voice tones, and pauses.... George Carlin....truly a pro's pro. RIP, thank you for allowing us to escape our problems for a few fleeting moments to laugh and just enjoy life with you.
George Carlin was the best comedian of all time. I've never seen another comedian be able to hold an audience through 100% of a myriad of shows. He was honest and down to Earth, if you don't like the swearing he typically did go watch Romper Room!
Best comedian ever! Well thought out material from a mind that was sharper than any other, a tounge to match his wit, and the delivery was always dead on. I wish he was still here, no other will ever come up with the same witticisms with the wisdom built in.
I so loved George Carlin and am so sad he is gone. I didn't think enough about what he said when I was younger even though I thought him funny then but now I get it so totally and I am pretty old....60! We miss you, George...A side note..a bunch of these famous guys always die in the city where I live, Santa Monica, and I never knew they were living here...It is nice to know they had their privacy!
Okay, just to be a stinker...! I think it's a foreshortened form of an oath (curse) involving St. Peter. However, you're quite right, since I have no idea whether or not St. Peter has any sakes to spare. So many people bothering him at the Pearly Gates, he might be all out of sakes by now. Maybe we could rob Paul of some sakes to pay Peter? Or is that the other way around?
When I was in elementary, My teacher gave the class an assignment and asked for us to write in our own words, and I did just that . Strangely enough, I got an F. XD
Yes. A fine example proving his claim he could perform equally successfully without the use of "street" language which he pointed out was included in most of his work as embellishment to inject heightened reality into his sketches. No one could ever match this unique talent..
takes the cake goes back to the days when the most popular dance was the cake walk...the judge of the dance contest would point at the couple who won ....and say "That takes the cake !"
Yeah he got good at it. I have been watching him since the mid 90's, and this one was new to me. The part he said about Michael Jacksons new album is selling like eggs....that was hilarious as hell...never heard him use that one before that I can remember.
God I miss him!!!!! His HBO special many years ago one of his funniest stand up routines. After he finished with jokes as the credits came up or was a list of things you couldn't say even on HBO. And of course do I remember any of them no.
this is proof that george carlin is funny without using swear words. his expressions, his body language, and the way he uses the english language and combines these 3 things, its pure gold. make that platinum. best comedian of all time.
it doesnt matter that you are 63 year old black guy, it wont add anything to your opinion. But kind of you to mention it. I am 12 year old chineese secretly on the internet until dad comes home and in my opinion he is the best comedian. See?
Greatest comedic mind the world has ever known. More than just a comedian in that he would say the shit we want to yet don't have the opportunity to or wouldn't have the approval to by "society" at large.
yes i watched the video.....after I made the comment...doh.... he brought joy to my life like no other could. laughing at ones own little erks is awesome. RIP George, love you and miss you.
Oh George, I wish I could hear your thoughts on today’s society...
I think I can speak for all of us........we miss you George.
I saw him perform in Las Vegas. There will never be another like him.😥
That “more than happy” one had me in stitches...
...but I don’t know how many stitches because I haven’t been to a hospital in many years.
The greatest comic who ever lived. Anyone disagree? He made 5 minutes feel like half an hour, in a good way. Please see his HBO specials if you haven't, before giving me shit.
More than anything, he was a fantastic philosopher and social commentator, he had a very unique way of looking at things, I call it, genius.
Looking at his old videos, Carlin wasn't a comedian, he was a philosopher.
I graduated high school in 1998 and my parents took me to AC to see him and took me out to a great chinese restaurant - was one of the best presents I ever got! RIP mom and pop
The way he says "tubes"
He wasn't a comedian
HE WAS A STAND UP PHILOSOPHER
George is my favorite!
The cleanest and most TV-friendly Geroge Carlin act I've seen. And still funny.
The smartest man I've known. A true genius.
There will never be another Carlin.
Wonderfully brilliant. I miss this man.
Straight, honest, simple genious. Thats what this world lacks....RIP. You made me think about life...
NEVER NEEDED HIS HUMOR MORE THAN NOW

What a Genius George was. There will never b another George Carlin. No comedian as brilliant as he was
If it's undisputed, what's all the fighting about?
These are the brightest clothes I've ever seen him in.
Check his 80s stuff XD
I saw him wear a bright blue long sleeve shirt before.
George Carlin is the greatest standup comedian in the history of standup comedy.
I'm happy to watch this video. Not more than happy, though. No need for mental hospital
***** thats nice example of a comment for comment. I bet you liked your comment yourself
I was more than happy about it
***** How's life at the mental institute? Met any other "more than happy" fella's there?
Sam City U didn't get how iggy is using Carlin's material on RUclips.
kenterminatedbygoogle He mentioned about the mental institute for "more than happy" people
His routine is good, but what really makes it great is his presentation. He really knows how to sell it!
One of the few comedians that can make me laugh out loud and learn at the same time.. R.I.P george!
Much missed. So good. ❤️❤️RIP.
My favorite comedian of all time by far love this guy. 🔥 ❤

This guy needs a monument in Washington
Steban Dihdo New York. But yes. I say New York, because thats where he was born, and where he was best known.
Art Crime no, 3
The only man who could talk about the most mundane and simple stuff but turn them into gold with his wit and delivery. Love him.
Undisputed World heavyweight comedy champion, G.C.
Best comedian ever! Well thought out material from a mind that was sharper than any other, a tounge to match his wit, and the delivery was always dead on.
I wish he was still here, no other will ever come up with the same witticisms with the wisdom built in.
One thing's for sure, no comedian has the hilarious mannerisms of Carlin, he didn't just tell a joke, he completely expressed it.
I wish his genius was around to bring some comic relief to the COVID 19 situation.
How about this one? "For Pete's sake!" Who's Pete? And why is it for his sake?
Okay, just to be a stinker...! I think it's a foreshortened form of an oath (curse) involving St. Peter. However, you're quite right, since I have no idea whether or not St. Peter has any sakes to spare. So many people bothering him at the Pearly Gates, he might be all out of sakes by now. Same with "For Christ's Sake"! What about His Sake? What about MINE!
I laughed so hard when he said: "What tubes?"
The new saying is "selling like toilet paper".
How can Bill and Ted 3 exist without George Carlin 😭
Busted me up. I'm more than happy.

It's nice to see how George evolved this bit over the years.
6:16 Reminds me of something Robin Williams would do. XD
COMEDIC. GENIUS !!!
He was the best. It's not just about being funny, but how well you perfect your craft. He really had it down to a science.
When I was in elementary, My teacher gave the class an assignment and asked for us to write in our own words, and I did just that . Strangely enough, I got an F. XD
Carlin was a comedy genius! he will be missed
I'm sure he's smiling down on us right now. XD
no he is looking up at us lol
OR....maybe he's SCREAMING up at us!! lol :D
Absolutely brilliant!
I listen to this even today in 2020 and Carlin has me almost falling out of my chair with laughter.
Excellent stuff, and proof that Carlin is able to be both funny and insightful without spewing profanity every fourth word.
Yes. A fine example proving his claim he could perform equally successfully without the use of "street" language which he pointed out was included in most of his work as embellishment to inject heightened reality into his sketches. No one could ever match this unique talent..
Showed this to my grandpa who is 82. I've never seen him cry while laughing before.
Always funny! I've heard his routines many times and I always laugh. His delivery is great.
I think he a PHILOSOPHER first and a COMEDIAN second.
One of my favorite comedians
What about when
You ask someone a
Question
And they say,”honestly?”
No I want you to lie to me.
A master of using the language with thought and wisdom !
One and only RIP Legend lives on forever 💞😢
You know a man is great when he makes you cry from laughter from the grave

august 1965 I'm guessing that's when he dropped acid if he was both fine and dandy
takes the cake goes back to the days when the most popular dance was the cake walk...the judge of the dance contest would point at the couple who won ....and say "That takes the cake !"
LOVIN GEORGE CARLIN, THERE WILL NEVER BE SOMEONE AS GREAT AS HE :-)!!!!!...
I'm just now imagining how he would use that sentence in this clip, and roast it.
I'll be more than happy to suggest this George Carlin video to my students! His humour is out of this world!
You can really see how he improved this act over the years, refining it and smoothing it out.
Yeah he got good at it. I have been watching him since the mid 90's, and this one was new to me. The part he said about Michael Jacksons new album is selling like eggs....that was hilarious as hell...never heard him use that one before that I can remember.
This man has the most expressive face I've ever seen.
1:08 selling like toilet paper is the new one in 2020.
Genius. Insights to everyday that no one else thinks of...
God ! So many trolls here! I think I'll go back to the dirty Carlin Jokes where everyone loves him.
God I miss him!!!!!
His HBO special many years ago one of his funniest stand up routines.
After he finished with jokes as the credits came up or was a list of things you couldn't say even on HBO.
And of course do I remember any of them no.
Carlin was the GOAT.
this is proof that george carlin is funny without using swear words. his expressions, his body language, and the way he uses the english language and combines these 3 things, its pure gold. make that platinum. best comedian of all time.
In 6 minutes and 30 seconds George hadn't once swore xD
One of a kind! There will never be another George Carlin.
LEGEND comedian and human being
God blessed this world with a gift when he made George Carlin
Very few comedian can just jump into a joke, with only 2 line set up, and make it work. He is god
Even "censored" Carlin is funny
Absolutely! That man is so brilliant and has such a great repertoire and delivery, in ANY situation. I miss that guy so much.....
l'm a 63 year old black guy. My opinion.....he was the best comedian ever ! ! ! !
it doesnt matter that you are 63 year old black guy, it wont add anything to your opinion. But kind of you to mention it. I am 12 year old chineese secretly on the internet until dad comes home and in my opinion he is the best comedian. See?
He was so good, even a 35 year old german chemist just out of the shower thinks, he was the best :D
+MrEdwin57 l completely agree with you...
He really was a comic genius that could make just about anything funny...
Greatest comedic mind the world has ever known. More than just a comedian in that he would say the shit we want to yet don't have the opportunity to or wouldn't have the approval to by "society" at large.
Lmao. No words. just pain in my tummy, omg

in your heart of hearts.......always hated that one
Молодчина, Карлин, все так рассовал по полочкам. Рекоммендую для изучающих английский язык. Настоящий Real Trickster!
This man is my hero.
RIP George Carlin, man with a great mind and was a great modern philosopher of our time
Carlin's best, I think, are his rants on the seven words you can't use on TV, and the useless words. Words like snow belt and rain event
So simple yet so original and brilliant.
Tubes means pipes like the ones connected to a toilet. So going down the tubes is like being flushed down the toilet I always thought.
I ran out of stuff to watch 1 year ago and I still watch him.
