Can’t serve liquor after 2am, so all clubs/bars shut down. So, the goal was always to leave with some ladies at the end of the night to keep the party going.
The 2nd taco spot you went to is called, “Taco Tumbras a Tomas” inside the Grand Central Market. That’s Francisco “Panchito” that took your order. That’s the homie and his energy is always consistent! 2 of the coolest dudes I know meeting each other 🙌🏼Stay safe…🙏🏼
Where you sat down to eat the tacos is called Grand Central Market. You also want to go a block away from Olvera St. to a awesome food Deli called Philippe’s also opened in the early 20’s. Roast beef double dip sandwich is what you order. Those 3 restaurants are historical landmarks .
If you are still in LA downtown check out the Bradbury Building, it’s a trip. It’s not food but it’s amazing architecture. Most people don’t even know it exists in LA.

The only issue I had was a homeless person sitting on my car when I left a friends apartment there’s always action in the city. Again if you’re from a metro area there’s stuff you should already know how to move.
East LA bud can't go wrong for Taco's , but Southern Cal is full of awesome Mexican eateries from mom and pop to fancy restaurants . But for me mom and pop operations is where it is at.

Yo! Ave 26 is a small street market that happens on a certain day(I forgot which one exactly). Its on the outskirts of downtown, to the west. If you go down Alameda street you will find it.
Volpe if you are still in LA stop by my restaurant in Downey Ca. It’s about a 20 minute drive from downtown LA. You can have some tacos with freshly made tortillas. La Perla Del Mar, Downey Ca

That taco spot definitely wasnt what everyone was talking about, not from the area but pretty sure most were talking about a spot on the opposite side of skid row, down the street from the train station its a small block filled with food and random vendors (art/clothes/etc.)
