I have a 2019 Epiphone Les Paul standard that I have been quite happy with . No complaints except the color (Blueberry Burst) was not well represented in the pictures . The seller made a decent deal due to my dissatisfaction so I kept it . Glad I did ! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one and may very well do that very soon . Their quality has really improved and I’m glad Gibson’s has come back as well .

So you can fool yourself and try to click bait to tell people that they are but they never will be so stop living the dream.
That should be blatantly obvious but I’m wondering who pissed in your Wheaties ? Ease up a tad bro , nobody thought they could get an Epiphone that was as good as a Gibson , they’re 1/3 to 1/4 the price . No worries , I have a friend that is a Gibson snob too . I still love him despite it .

I dropped a set of Gibson Burstbuckers 2 and 3 that I had and required the controls with better wiring in a 50s style. It is now a BEAST of an axe. Absolutely love it but I will say that Epiphone dropped the ball on these by not putting Slash Seymour Dunkins in them from the factory. People would have paid the higher price for it. I had a cheap Epiphone Les Paul Appetite Burst with a bolt on neck years ago and those pickups were actually much better than these new ones. They had a tuner built into the pickup frame also. I bought the Epiphone version of this guitar. I dyed the neck, just because I like the look of a darker neck on an LP. (It took me about 20 minutes.) When it comes to the pickups I don't really hear much of a difference between the probucker customs and the slashbuckers. That is if you don't need to input your guitar "naked" into the mixer (for re-amping purposes). I use an amplifier (like most people would do), and the difference is so miniscule that it's basically nothing. I don't mind that the binding doesn't go over the edges of the frets. For me that's a big plus. I live in a country where temperatures and humidity changes a lot. Those gibson bindings are not suitable here. So yeah, all in all, I'm very satisfied with my Epiphone Slash LP. It looks good, it sounds good, it feels good and it's heavy as your mother.
