I have 3 Gibsons LP and bought a Heritage H-150 (‘22). I have the following Gibsons ‘22 Classic ‘23 Slash November Burst ‘23 50’s Standard The Slash guitar is fantastic to be honest minus issues that I’m having with the finish (checkins and just super delicate finish) Other than that I love the guitar. But honestly I think the Heritage is a better quality guitar and I’m blown away by how good it looks, the finish and it’s not sensitive like the Gibsons finish!! So to me The Heritage wins it!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🫶🏻

If your like me and have a sg with the pick plate this isn’t helpful. There is no pick up frame, the guard is the only thing. I think there is a secret club that knows but can’t find any where

I was between a Heritage H-150 Custom Core Artisan Aged and an Eastman SB59v in antique burst. Ultimately went with the Eastman with no regrets. But my next guitar purchase will probably be that Heritage, soon as I sell my 1995 National Style O Deluxe Resonator.

2000 USD + for the modern and doesn't come with fret nibs.... Gibson logic

I do not know about the Gibson, I don't have $3,000 for a guitar, but the Epiphone Goldtop Victoria is the best Les Paul I have ever played. And I am not even a GnR fan.

You should switch the pickup switches. Put the white on white and put the black on black.

I myself would rather have the SG Standard. But, for $1699.00. You would think Gibson Q.C. would be a little more careful about making sure a FINE STRING INSTRUMENT would be spotless under the Humbuckers!! This Musicial Instrument has a serial number "stamped" on the headstock. Take pictures of workmanship and reply back to Nashville Tenn.😠

These videos keep coming up and they make me laugh. Have Epiphone guitars improved in quality, sure!! Are they as good as or better than the real thing……..not even close!! I know this because I’ve owned both. I bought an Epiphone LP Standard prior to Covid and while it looked beautiful it would not stay in tune!! Ended up selling it. I bought my first Gibson LP Classic in ‘22 and I understood why there was such a difference in price as soon as I grabbed the guitar, love it so much that I bought another Gibson LP, Slash November Burst! I ended up with this guitar after going down to Gibson Garage store in Nashville and spending 4 hours playing different Gibson LP’s…from the 50’, 60’s, etc….and to my surprise I absolutely fell in love with the Slash model!! It just felt right and sounded awesome!! ❤ I also just bought my first Heritage H-150 guitar…….wife doesn’t know, yet!! 😬 Anyway, Epiphone are amazing guitars for the price, but get yourself the real deal if you can!! Oh both of my Gibsons are fantastic at staying in tune even after playing November rain over and over 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

You can put semore duncan slash pickups in the epiphone i have an epiphone as well and at my guitar shop in Logan Utah ksm music they have the slash pickups 😊

Thanks for this video. Yes, it's not hard to replace Epiphone pickups by other Epiphone pickups, but what if you want to replace them with Gibson pickups? Are the connectors compatible?

I have no doubt this is a high quality guitar, but soundwise, it sounds just like Harley Benton sc-450 plus, or pretty much any other cheap Les Paul copy.

This I understand it up.A phone was first and then they made Gibson And made epis on the cheaper version And if you are honest with you. They're pretty much wondering the same to me That's the way with stratecaster and squire. You're just a costly version. Are the few tweaks you can make any squire play as good as a strat. I think people are just being duped And even if you get. Abuse extra things with a gibson. You're still paying for them.Nothing there is Free. That's open factored in. So they make a profit, they're not giving you that stuff for free. And either guitar case

Of course it's nice to have Gibson name on the guitar. The question is if anyone (besides Slash himself maybe) can hear the difference in blind test. I don't really think so. And you can always put SD Slash pickups for $238 and it will still be 2.5 times cheaper than Gibson.

anything other than P90s on a goldtop lp is offensive

I had one of these. I played the Gibson and this one. I bought this one. And if you take some polish on the body, shines like glass!!!!!

Their should be a bit of relief in the neck. It's not supposed to be perfectly straight. I don't think the Epi is Honduran Mahogany and often the "maple" cap (not the top veneer) isn't actually maple. There are a lot of woods that are called Mahogany, but they aren't actual "genuine Mahogany" and Epi is known to use these substitutes. It's actually not common for manufacturers to use Honduran Mahogany. It's pricier and harder to source. The Gibson pickups are $300 a set. The Duncan's are $240. That's a lot for a 999 guitar with the specs of a LP w/hardshell case, etc...

Wow! What a great top! I would think it was as Custom Core with a top like that. I just bought my first Heritage. A 2005 H-137 I found at my local GC. It’s become my favorite LP.

I just don’t understand why you can’t get an SG and dirty lemon burst. Can anybody tell me why lol dirty lemon seems to be the hardest finish to come by for these guys. I actually have an SG and Argentina burst love that got it from the B.B. King Lucille I wanted something to match it after spending so much money on it so I paid for that paint job from Gibson and it was an extra $1200 back then, but I can’t imagine spending that much on top of the cost of this guitar. Just wondered if anybody knew why that finish was so difficult to get. 1:08

Thank you so much for showing this, I have two Epiphones in the "inspired by Gibson " range and do not feel confident in soldering. This system is a huge improvement.

I don´t like that Gibson puts "Slash Buckers" in their guitars - although Slash uses his Seymour Duncan Signature Sets in it. Marketing tricks from both brands imho... Furthermore, his initial LP was not a Gibson...

I have just purchased the Ruby Red along with the Epi Casino.

"You wouldn't believe it, but on the Gibson Les Paul Standard '50s, there's a short tenon, usually on much more expensive Custom Shop models and the like, there's a long tenon. Now, I'm watching a video, and I can't believe that on an Epiphone guitar, the neck is done with the long tenon variation. :D

Gibson peaked with 2015 US made TKL gold cases

so basically from price point the epiphone is the better buy with abetter neck from durability and the Gibson for the price and what u get (headstock weak) is a piece of crap against a prs or scheckter,dusenburg,gretsch, etc.
