He posted an instagram story and said: Thank you guys for the patience and kind messages of support during this time. I will stand strong in my beliefs and I will not let any narratives change the fact that I am a good person to my heart raised by my beautiful mother. To those who have reached out to hold me accountable for my words, truly thank you. I will take every possible step forward to ensure your confidence in me moving forward. To those who support me whole heartedly, may god bless your heart for your love knows no bounds. I will do everything in my power to repay your kindness. To those worried about my safety, I am okay. I have strength and confidence in my loved ones and I am protected. I will not hesitate to stand up for myself or the people I love despite the backlash. It is true that I have struggled with mental health in the past, but that is not an excuse for my behavior this week. I went on live to stand up for myself against disgusting vile comments after years of pent up hardship. Though justified to me right now, I will seek professional help to help me sort through these feelings further in case I am missing something. Back soon with Love. For now, therapy.
I'm so glad he is getting therapy, it is what he needs and I am not saying this in a condescending way. Sometimes mental health issues present themselves through behaviours that aren't perceived with internal struggles, like irritability, blowing up on people, being obnoxious etc. It isn't an excuse but seeing him spiral so damn fast is definitely a sign that he needs a break.
for reals. someone get him a dumbphone (a phone without internet access), sometimes u got to pick ur battles and i think hes just becoming obnoxious that i dont even want to pity him.
people don't understand his state. seriously, i mean i would have been upset to if i was a beomhan fan but that much inconsideration is saddening. obviously he shouldn't have said that tho
he needs therapy! it seems like he is going through manic phase atm. i feel bad for him but he needs to stop doing what he is doing, and go on hiatus. He really needs to seek professional help and get on some meds to stabilize his mania and depression. If you don’t get treated it will always be like this for him. No company will ever sign him and he won’t have any fans if he continues this road it’s sad.
I've not seen beomhan in my fyp in months and oml what the hell is going on😭? Those tweets were definitely smth. Hope he gets of social media amd starts focusing on being an idol cause that song high-key fucked up my eardrums🙏
As someone with bipolar disorder, he is displaying a LOT of symptoms of bipolar disorder. I'm not saying he has it, but the framework is there. He needs to take a break, see a therapist. The way he talks on his lives is what I sound like when I'm manic. The manic episode will crash HARD and if that happens, the depression is horrid. I'm genuinely concerned
I've been thinking the exact same thing, especially when I first saw the live clips and stuff. I really hope he gets professional help and takes a break from the internet
@@hayanatic6337 why the heck dont the agencies give idols more mental wellbeing checks? idk if he even is an idol or youtuber whatever he is, i also blame the fact that every other trash bag seems to want a grandiose audience for their social pages its so hard not to do it because like we are all online. but they need to start bettering themselves and being responsible for themselves im not dealing with anymore celebs or idols or whoever if they one day arent around due to their own stupid behaviours that were unhealthy to begin with. its not a good example to set and they should defo be aware of their audience age range whining about haters online doesnt suddenly excuse their online behaviours that only they themselves are responsible for. we can pity them sure but when they do this sort of thing on a daily basis its only themselves thats responsible for their mental state
i honestly don't think he's a bad person, i think he's lost and definiety needs mental support and a break from the internet asap. what he did wasnt right or funny but i also don't think THAT much hate was necessary. anyways i wish him well and hope he figures out what he wants to continue doing. i could never hate him for something like that.
I don't really follow Beomhan closely, but he URGENTLY needs mental help and to stay offline. That live was basically him having a manic episode, and it's scary. Unfortunately, I've been seeing kpop fans get so comfortable with making very disgusting threats towards idols, as seen this year alone towards Le Sserafim and ILLIT, and in the past towards groups like aespa, Itzy, and IVE. I know that these fans would cry uncontrollably if these threats were made towards them instead, so why even make threats like that in the first place? Nothing Beomhan said warranted those kinds of threats. However, this does not excuse what he said. Just me personally, if I think of telling a joke that could potentially be offensive, I won't tell it. He seems to have zero self-control, and that does not make him "relatable." The messages he's trying to spread aren't wrong, but his delivery is all the way wrong. This is another case of "intent" versus "impact." Very well-done video, you explained the situation exceptionally well!
@@aneeba1236 Let me clarify, he didn't make any threats towards groups, he was the one getting threats. I mentioned those groups because they received such threats this year or in the past. I also should clarify: I don't agree at all with his take on idols dating, what he said was really weird
Honestly, I didn't find what he said about the election wrong. I actually found it hilarious. And I say this as a gay, pretty much invisibly disabled woman living in the US. People just took it the wrong way. I feel like he's a person who just... doesn't know how to take a topic without making a joke about it. Which I can understand, I myself suffer from depression, but most of the time I just ignore it and make jokes about it. I think it's like that. I think he just genuinely doesn't know how to handle a serious conversation... seriously.
@@youknowwhatelseisbig484 this. but also people need to recognize a lot of people just use him as rage bait and a punching bag; doesn't mean most of the points about how he could've handled his comments better aren't valid but people were really doing way too much
@@havensohn3821he was always a rapper, I'm pretty sure. I remember he was getting a lot of hate when he released his song, and his fans seemed mostly confused why he wasn't rapping.
I hope some of those Twitter users take a break and get therapy too…like wdym death threats?? The joke was not meant to be taken seriously and even if it was it doesn’t warrant death threats to someone (especially one who is clearly struggling with their mental health)
This is disgusting. the people telling him to k*ll himself and saying he should commit suicide because he already tried is just disgusting. Yes his joke was insensitive but I'm an American woman and i honestly took his apology fine. It wasn't that serious at all. He needs a fricking brake from these people that call themselves his 'fans'. The internet is just horrible especially to suicidal people.
People don't understand comedy has always touched on sensitive topics (race, politics, gender, etc.) and when being a funny person its a given that not all jokes are gonna land. But telling someone to end their life because of a joke that didn't sit right with you? Are you mad? I'm an amercan woman too and people here literally make election jokes all the time. I've literally heard his exact words FROM AMERICAN WOMAN. People need to get a grip wthhh. And yes he needs a social media break... he was already online too much and was relying on his fanbase when he needed to communicate his feelings and emotons. That would be great but the hard cold truth is the internet isnt built for that kind of wholesome fan-creator relationship. People are gross sometimes, especially when they can hide their faces behind a screen.
@@ailmbwywicwoelilmhsVery strongly agree. Either people have become too soft or this is just another one of the “following the most trending hate train” on the newest victim. People just have so much hate, and these cowards do it through a screen. Many already have had a weird dislike for Beomhan (just because for no valid reason up until now) and saw his comment as an opportunity to defend their disdain for him. He has had people hate on him way before this live accident. God forbid he takes his own life, everyone will change their tunes. That’s just how’s it been with Sulli as well.
i used to have serious problems with my mental health as well, and that live beomhan did reminded me of how i spoke to literally everyone if even sensed a little disrespect. it's not healthy, and beomhan clearly isn't doing well. i ended up going to a psych ward from how bad my problems got, and i really hope the same doesn't happen to him :(( he needs to take a long break from social media for his own good
Omg, I've been trough that too:( are you okay now? I've been feeling a little down recently and when I saw beomhan it reminded me of how bad mental issues can mess with your mind
I used to be that way, for me I was having problems mentally but it was also because I was emotionally immature in some ways. So basically I couldn't control (?) handle (?) my emotions the way I should've but that changed with age and experience. So yea, this also all feels very familiar to me. But also I think a lot of people who are on the internet either when they are young or when they are in a difficult situation goes through this. I just hope he's okay, And I see you are doing better now too (?) I'm glad.
Kinda same, i wouldnt say i have mental Problems, but i got bullied all the time in school, about my looks and weight. I never stood up against it, but was very angry and violent at home (i still feel very sorry for my parents and Friends) now where im older i would never be psychical withsome again, and i would never let someone bully me as well. I started having social anxiety and cant go out of the house, cause i get a anxiety attack when i see people i don’t know. But also i still get angry a lot. When somebody says something what isnt nice to me, its really hart for me not to lash out (with words) and get extremy loud and triggered. You could never tease me, without me getting angry. But the only person i would hit when neccecary are my abusive ex stephdad and my bullies, if i ever saw them again. Couldnt hold back there. I have extremly big anger Problems. I couldnt be a idol, i would get fired so fast. I would eat people who write hate for no reason up.
Honestly, as a woman, I don't think beomhan said something THAT disrespectdul to bully him so harsh. He needs rest so much. And bullies should get a job cause sending death wishes is a pure brain rot
Just because you didn't think it was bad doesn't mean others cant be offended. He literally said "just go shopping or smth" like yes lol very funny thing to say about women rights being taken away. Him being mentally ill doesn't mean he can't think critically. And his defence for making the joke is that he has sisters and a mother. Literally all he had to do was post that hes sorry and log out. Kpop stans give dts to everyone and anyone he knows what the community is like and continues interacting with it instead of getting help its been YEARS now. In an ideal world cyber bullying wouldn't exist but trolls are gonna be here no matter what so its on us to be careful.
@@Liz-abeth Tbh I think him taking it back was out of frustration from all the hate and death threats he was getting and so was his way of standing up for himself, but because of his wording and the way it sounds, yeah I can definitely see why it wasn't received well. People online can tend to be just as reactive, so they aren't likely to think about where his place of anger was coming from when he wrote that statement and just focus on the way it sounds. Dude definitely didn't react professionally in the way we might expect, but I also think those who went overboard with threats and hatred should be just as condemned and held accountable. Telling someone to off themselves is something that should never be taken lightly.
as a woman when i first heard him say that i didn’t think of it too much, many people on tiktok where saying it too and i was just like okay people being sensitive again but what was really off was that live.. and then him looking for the hate tweets to respond to them… needs to get AWF social media he needs help seriously
obviously i’m not famous, but a very similar thing happened to me in a specific fandom i was in with a joke i meant harmlessly that everyone took the wrong way (not k-pop fandom). I had someone’s tweet telling me to kms get 5k likes, i went on private and then people made fun of me for going private bc i was “scared”, and it was just me with less than 2k followers after making a joke that used to be very common on vine and tumblr, and no one listened to me when i explained that. also, my face was on the account, so now i’m terrified if i ever do become famous or have a tiktok blow up or something that people from this fandom will still harass me because they probably screenshot my face. it really is terrifying to have thousands of people purposely taking everything you say the wrong way, and there literally is nothing you can do. there were other random fucking things i said on that acc being used to convince other people i was a bad person, when no one even told me they had an issue with those things when they were posted. some of them were even flat out things i did NOT say, and they didn’t use a screenshot for anything so no one would have known what was true and what was false. months worth of my content as a tiny creator with less than 2k followers was purposely watched in bad faith, and i had no idea until it all blew up. i can only imagine how bad that is for celebrities, even people like Beomhan who was only really famous to a small margin of people. you really have to be in a strong mental headspace, or just strong enough to avoid going online all together. but then, you can’t completely avoid going online, because how do you know what is serious enough to address? it seems impossible.
Yeah, this video I watched only proved that Beomhan was not in the wrong and that tweet purposely twisted his words and facts to vilify him, just as you explained it happened to you. The only flaw of Beom was to be on twt, considering it's known to be t00xic, but he's young so he doesn't know that. No wonder a h88 train against him came. That platform is known to be looking for trouble, to look for fanw@rs and people to cancel. He just took them too seriously not knowing that most people don't take Stan twt seriously. Hope his reputation can recover as I don't see him in the wrong.

Wow this is insane, honestly when I first watched the clip of him talking about the election, to me it really just seemed like he was just trying to make a simple joke to lighten things up which is just Gen zs way of trying to cope with srs issues like these which I felt was okay but I think because the issue was still quite raw so people took it the wrong way/ expected him to talk more seriously about it? @@cherryaenue his joke was not serious. He was showing his allyship to women and trying to sympathize with them through humor. Like he said, people are taking out their frustrations with the election on him bc he's easy target instead of people who are guilty & responsible for the results, and in power. Instead of going at people who voted for Donald they came for Beomhan. It shows the unstableness of these people. People are saying Beomhan has mental illness as if people attacking him don't. People need to stop siding with h8ers, validating their bs takes, and giving them a platform Irregardless of how you feel about the joke, men who are Ally's to women should be _the last people_ to be attacked. Doing so is just cowardice. And they have a right to speak on the results, unlike what some people say - as many are practicing compassion and empathy. We need this in an environment where many men are freely expressing how pro Donald and anti women they are.
honestly no one would have batted an eye at the election jokes if they were made by a regular person but since beohman is "famous" he got a lot of backlash i don't quite agree with all that he's said and done but you should be able to criticize others without telling them to end themselves , especially if that person is struggling with su!c!dal thoughts i hope he can stay offline and truly focus on his mental health since being in the spotlight seems to worsen his situation
that's the point. beomhan is a public figure. he can't make offensive "jokes" like that bc he doesn't know who he could possibly be offending. a group of regular people can make offensive jokes bc they know how the people around them are and how they could react - beomhan doesn't know much about his fans since they're all over the world with different backgrounds, which is why he should be more mindful of his words and actions. and yeah, he definitely needs help. he's close to being psychotic. he needs to get of socials for a bit and take a breather
@chaesdae ik what you man I understand.. What I'm trying to say for me personally even if a "regular people" made that joke I will definitely call them out but I get you
I think all those people harassing him and making insensitive jokes about his mental health or looks (not the ones that are rightfully educating him by calling him out) are just venting all their anger and frustration about the presidential elections against him, which is stupid and useless but c'mon social media never treated people as humans
Also the people who called him ret*rded are the definition of hypocrites they use derogatory language yet they're offended....make it , make sense hey you don't practice what your preach?
Guys this industry is just so sad. I mean Beomhan has had such long livestreams so we have kind of seen that he was a funny, chill guy . But the internet and industry have taken a toll on his mental health and he doesn't seem to act rational. Hope he is okay! Ykw the problem is that if he made an apology, people said that it is "terrible, pretend etc" so he retracted it back out of anger. Not saying that's what he should have done but he certainly has less sense on how to act on social media. People won't accept his apology very quickly. I strongly believe that no one should bully him tho as he can harm himself as he has already shown tendencies in the past :/
thats the problem its still HIS responsibility the sad thing is idols crave these sorts of interactions not all but a lot of them are prone to needing to be the centre of their own little bubble its quite narcissistic really. its like if they dont go live theyll feel worse because no ones giving them the attention they seek and then i think agencies should restrict the time length to not even an hour. surely they can do something else with that time like resting or rehearsing for something or other or studying? i dont get why i always need to be reminded of xyz idols extremely long livestreams where they dont do much on them anyway

I see a lot of comments saying the dude needs to take a social media break, and I'd agree, but I'd also say so do the people who responded with death threats and hatred to his comments which were at best, socially tone deaf, and at worst insensitive. Telling someone to off themselves over that is insane behaviour. Dude was in no way professional about the way he responded, especially not him retorting with the same slur he himself was called, but how professional do we truly expect someone to be for being bombarded with hatred and threats to his life over something I'm almost certain he meant no malice by? Would we expect the average person to react with civility over this? I don't think so, and I don't think they should have to either, which includes Beomhan. Him blowing up on live I actually thought was a completely understandable and common reaction that occurs after bottling up feelings over time, which he himself admitted to doing. His case honestly reminds me a bit of Chappell Roan and how people were mad and called her ungrateful for having boundaries and being blunt about not tolerating harassment, as if they think she should have to deal with it just because she's a celebrity. So in conclusion, I want to reiterate that Beomhan definitely could have taken more time to consider things before responding, but ultimately both sides were handled horribly and everyone who responded in an extreme manner needs a social media break.

I often make dark jokes from my own bad situations to try and lighten the mood. A lot of my friends and I who have mental health have this sense of humor and use it to cope with really bad shit. Good for him! He's a normal human being . You seriously talking about his reaction? Why shouldn't he lose it when he's being treated like that. Everyone has their limits. And exposing him for what? Giving an opinion on idol dating? Being a normal human being ? You exposes the nasty assholes in the comments ?Let's all be honest and admit that on a bad day we have all lost our shit for less so why is him overreacting a sign of bi-polar? I mean I shouted a few slurs at that voice mispronouncing his name over and over. He had good intentions about the election result comments but used a bad choice of words ,unfortunately. But obviously people love to blow things out of proportion. This kid is tougher than you think otherwise he wouldn't keep coming back over and over again . Hats off to him. Just take a break Beomhan and chill for a bit. Then start again. Good luck to you.
Exactly. OP is being really nasty towards him and even using an analogy about him being a "little boy" but yet agree that he is mentally ill. It is weird to refer a grown man as a "little boy" who is 'oh-so-clearly' mentally ill. I strongly believe that OP only had ill intentions. I don't even know this man, but you can see the nasty intent by the way OP is responding to their commenters. Op also liked a comment that said: "his new song sounds like something that would be in a 2018 gacha" which the person was obviously trying to be mean. It's so crazy seeing nasty behavior from the same people that try 'exposing' others.
People looove to judge until their own life is shown on camera and they're doing the exact same things, for sure even worse 🤣🤣 People who can't relate simply should just stfu and not comment.
I've seen this coming a mile away simply for how he started his solo work. Even though it's okay to be open and honest with your fans, he seems waaayyy too open. And that can become dangerous when you have so many people watching your every move. Not everyone is nice about your honesty. You have to save some things for yourself and possibly a therapist and loved ones. He's not speaking like an "idol" but more like a casual tiktoker. There are a lot of popular tiktokers who have said the same thing and people joked about it just fine, but his social media status brings in idol fans which is just a different vibe
Honestly as a woman who is suicidal, ppl are taking his joke WAY out of proportion. He’s going through smth that we dont know about. And the joke wasnt even offensive. He honestly looked like he was trying to lighten up the mood after Election Day and some of these “fans” and haters need to acknowledge that their words and everything are seen by these idols. This is how jeonghyun and moonbin fucking died. They cant just say for beomhan to kill himself and justify it just bc he said a joke that came out wrong. He’s taking accountability for his actions and even though its not the best apology, he’s clearly going through smth. So can we as K-pop fans PLEASE LEAVE THIS MAN ALONE, before he does smth rash and end up like the idols i mentioned earlier. These celebrities and influencers see what u write on twitter or whatever shit and dont u think that if somebody told u to fucking kill yourself bc of a problematic joke, u would feel hurt or attacked? Some people need to use their brains and think before going onto twitter and typing these fucking hate comments.
People always talk about how idols should be allowed to speak out but then they get mad when they do. Honestly, his reaction to the harassment he’s gotten, especially as someone who recently attempted, is understandable and people need to back off. Y’all are not helping
Girl point blank period he shouldn’t have made the initial joke? A lot of women are seriously sad over this election and saying “rip women” was so inappropriate it’s wild. I think we should consider everything he’s been through. Imagine being constantly criticized from the moment you debut. Honestly, that kind of stress can take a huge toll on anyone's mental health, and it’s not easy to stay strong through it all. 💔 However, I noticed that in this video, while you mentioned a lot of the struggles Beomhan has faced this year, one key detail was left out: he was falsely accused of s*xual assault. That’s a huge thing to overlook because these kinds of accusations are incredibly traumatic and can really impact someone’s life and career, regardless of their truth. I think we should look at the full picture when talking about someone’s actions, though. Yes, Beomhan has said some things that people aren’t happy about, but let’s not forget everything he’s been through. Being under so much pressure, especially with false accusations, can make anyone say things they might not mean. I’m not saying he’s perfect or excusing everything, but I do think it’s super important to show some empathy and give him the space to learn and grow. After all, we’re all human, right? 💖
that's true, but the reality is that he is a public figure (or at least attempting to position himself as one) and he should be held liable for the things he says. someone being under mental duress does add a layer of nuance to their actions, but it doesnt absolve them of the consequences of their actions
did bro even have much of a career to begin with? i dont even know what group he is from. cant they do anything else with their spare time beyond tiktok livestreams?
i dont think in modern times i could even be arsed to be an idol thats always posting vlives eventually id have to make more time for myself and thats what he lacks. many of them need to be comfortable being away from an audience but theyre like liam payne theyre addicted to it nd id ont want them to end up like liam payne dead because they had mental problems along with a dore need of attention it doesnt go hand in hand.

Im gonna be honest. He's not the person to be an idol. Hes extremely unprofessional and incredibly immature. He DOES NOT know what to say and what to keep to himself
For everyone armchair diagnosing him as having a manic episode, the episode has to last at least a week with symptoms for all or most of every day to be considered an actual manic episode. People can have a bad day and be angry and impulsive for a few hours over some rightfully upsetting comments, but that isn't a manic episode. Sorry, I just see so many people online recently saying anyone upset is having a manic episode. For people with bipolar I, its serious and ruins lives and is much more intense than just being irritable.
That’s not true actually. Manic episodes only have to last 24 hours or more and you have to exhibit the symptoms consistently source I’m actually bipolar.
@@yomino7870 I have bipolar disorder too and have experienced rapid cycling. that doesn't change the DSM criteria for a full-blown manic episode, it just has to do with how many episodes occur over a year/given time frame. it could be a hypomanic episode if its less than one week, but it has to be a week long or present psychotic symptoms for it to be diagnosed a full-blown manic episode.
honestly, he just isn't idol material. he's much better off being a streamer or youtuber. he could still have fans and make content, but wouldn't be placed within the idol bubble and would have more freedom with less limitations. he does need media training though if he genuinely wants a career in entertainment, he has practically no professional qualities nor the ability to manage his image. he's silly and chill which some people like, but severely lacks self awareness and can't handle criticism well at all. to maintain the image of an idol you need a pretty clean rep sheet, he threw that away a LONG time ago. honestly i think it's hilarious he's policing idols on the no dating policy but acts like this... come on now. not a fan, but i hope he gets his life in order, it's hard seeing anyone having an absolute crisis. i don't think he's a bad person, i think he's a genuinely well meaning young man who will look back on himself one day and cringe, HARD. he needs to grow tf up, i hope he gets help.
i feel so bad for him, no other idol would be able to open up about and trying to commit. but, i definitely think he has bipolar and i want him to take a break from the cameras and the hate, i hope he will be able to see a therapist and talk to them about the hate. AND WHAT DO YOU KEAN HE HAS A GF ?!
No I stand with him for taking back that apology. But yeah I hope he gets a good therapist and takes a break off the internet. People hate him and pick apart everything he does meanwhile they behave the same way he does. They hold him to the standard of their other idols and he's clearly not in the right mental space to endure the bs of these kpop stans.
he absolutely needs to get off the internet and it's not even his own fault imo. its the lunatics who think he's actually a kpop idol and should behave like one. he's just a guy who livestreams at this point and i'm not saying that to be rude becuase there's nothing wrong with that. i think his "fans" need to get off kpop twitter and get other interests and hobbies.
@@unikornsandsatan I agree 100% he's just a guy like the rest of us with flaws and feelings, not saying idols aren't but they go through media training and stuff and don't see most of the stuff people say about them. With beomhan he is an independent artists so he manages all his shit so he HAS to see that bs. And people are so apathetic to his emotional situation because they are used seeing idols be robots with no "negative" emotions. With being harrased online it's easy to say "just ignore it" but when it gets to the point where people are straight up defaming you and sending u dts then it's hard to ignore especially when you're job requires you to be online. I would like to see him hop off social media and train more and take care of his mental health and then come back when he's ready and knows how to cope healthily.
Instead of calling him out or saying he needs to put his phone down,we need to be calling out those people are telling him to k*ll himself and what not. two things bother me right now First of all, Beomhan boy did say a lot of stupid things trying to be funny and it didn't work, i quite understand that someone has problems and doesn't know what to say or how to say it, but he really screwed up The other thing, kpop fans are making attempts to massively support people who lose their careers like seunghan or sojin for netizen being the worst in the world but when it comes to guys like beomhan they are begging for that guy to k_ll himself. it's so stupid and selective they don't know how to act in one line anyway, that guy needs to get off his social media and start doing something better with his life outside "being idol"
it’s not selective. he did something people didn’t agree with so people aren’t supporting him. that’s like saying “um how can kpop stans support other idols but not seungri? 😢” like there is a REASON
Call it for what it is, misogyny. I feel like the comparison is very out of place too. Didn’t seunghaan just date? And Sojin was falsely accused?. Also I don’t think it’s the same people who defended them the ones telling him to khs. No need to generalize to make a point.

maybe i'm alone in this but i didn't think his comments on the election were bad at all, quite the opposite actually. not really sure why anyone had a problem with what he said, that's the type of thing my sister and i would say to eachother. i guess i don't speak for all women but i did not find it insensetive in the slightest, and from my perspective a lot of people are making an issue out of nothing. why you hating on a man who's on your f*cking side, ya know? i sure didn't like the "idols shouldn't date" opinion he had though. I also think that people see him as an easy target because he says his feelings and opinions, because he is significantly more human then all the (i'm saying it) robot idols. I think people are taking advantage of that and bullying him.
its just out of touch because trump already vetoed (AKA rejected) a national abortion ban, he has no current policy that infringes on womans rights. hes just talk out of his ahhh
he’s saying things and responding exactly how every single person on the internet does, but because he has a platform he is getting hated. I don’t think he should have said all the things he did, but I think this situation says more about how the internet has no empathy or ability to comprehend context and refuses to forgive than it says about Beomhan
8:08 it’s crazy for him to say he has a girlfriend after saying idols shouldn’t be dating, I hope he realizes that’s him being hypocritical, and he literally got heated to his own fans for giving him “sympathy points”
At some point after the 'idols shouldn't date' thing, he took his comment back and mentioned he was convinced of that stuff by the company and that he bought into it at the time.
He was mad. Haven't you ever being angry ever in your life or are u a perfect little angel who always acts like a rational robot? Yall literally pushed that boy to his edge and are now acting like this?
the joke was insensitive and silly and he really should’ve just apologized and left it at that. him taking it back was a stupid move (even tho obviously ableism is never okay) and the crash out just made him look worse. not to mention watching it was kinda scary- i had to turn it off because the way he yelled reminded me all too much of men in my life who have tried to intimidate me into doing as they say. he is obviously not well and needs to stay offline for a good long while.
end of the day, his joke was bad and tone deaf. he ain’t a woman, he literally will never deal with what women have to deal with especially with the election results. now telling him to off himself is completely wrong, especially bringing back something he opened up about with his fans. his complete crash out just shows he needs a complete break from social media. i can’t say what i would do in his situation but he needs a break.
I'm not even mad at him, I feel bad. People that don't deal with mental health problems don't get it, but lashing out and spiraling is very real. I hope he gets better.
honestly i think the joke itself wasn’t intentionally malicious but just in remarkably poor taste considering the circumstances and i can see why it pissed people off. his brand of humor was just completely inappropriate for the context. “rip women, go shopping or something” yeahhhhh no bud. everything after tho? yea he’s dead wrong for all of that and it confuses me seeing people try to defend him. between this, the whole thing about him posting fresh sh cuts and his general behaviour, he seems to be deeply mentally ill. that live gave strong manic episode. and then retweeting shit about k!lling himself,,,,at any rate he has zero hope for any kind of public career now, no company will take him as an idol after this because he has zero self control or media training, and not in the “haha he’s quirky and down to earth and out of pocket” kind of way. and he’s turned his online fanbase against him. best thing for him to do is deactivate all his socials, get into some intensive therapy and try to live a normal life.
It wasn't malicious or in poor taste. He was obviously being sarcastic. He was trying to make a point in a humorous way. Women's rights are in danger cause of trump & the horrible people he's hiring. Y'all need to pay attention & be mad at what is happening in America.

also something to add abt the kyoongfairy tweet is that he falsely accused her of saying the r slur when she didn't and he also stole revelmixes's idea abt fixing his debut for a contest that nobody won therefore wasting a bunch of producer's time and energy he also name dropped them, made fun of their living situation, and proceeded to yell at the people in his live which they shared in a tweet posted near the time he was getting called out
1. That clip of him saying idols shouldn't date was from 3 years ago when he was under his KPOP company 2. A little bit after he left the company he was explaining that he was forced to say that by the KPOP company
On one hand beomhan was right and these ppl were being dramatic, but on the other hand im once again disappointed to see someone who seemed so kind and lovely show his real face. But at the end of the day we shouldn't worry that much about others, and not expect anything from them. We will only be disappointed
@SADIE_Maybe_SADISTIC girl yes. Everyone is out there showing their best sides, but in reality we don't even know them and this clip of him shouting proves it. In the end they're still men
As someone from there, he’s an average New Yorker… He’s more chronically online than my friends, yet, I think if he gets the help he needs he could have a bright future as an Idol.
He should have just stuck with the original apology and got off social media for a few days. He probably sat there scrolling through all the comments and triggered himself to the point of no return. Like no matter what, he was going to get hate for a bit after what happened, but things would have calmed down after his apology and left it at that.
But also he needs to stop trying to make a joke out of literally everything to try to be “relatable and funny” because there’s so many that haven’t stuck like this one. He needs to think before he rambles because that’s kind of what he does
On one hand, the death threats and hate are terrible and he doesn't seem to be in a good place mentally. That being said, I'm not gonna excuse this sort of behavior and his joke was pretty tasteless.
I mean I don’t think he was rlly making a joke abt women’s rights but also don’t blame all the women in America like there were a few of them who were stupid enough to vote trump but not all of them
i dont think that rip women joke was offensive😭 me and my friend been making the same joke since election night although it could leave a stale taste in the mouth, especially after his tweets😭
i honestly don't feel bad for him. if you egg on negativity even after apologizing for something then that's just shooting yourself in the leg. ppl shouldn't have sent him death threats, that was weird. but there's a lot of coping in this comment section as if to say being mentally unwell excuses dumb behavior. he needs to be more mindful of what he says, if you're gonna have a platform then be wise about it. i have depression and i'd consider myself something of an internet addict, but even i know when to take a break. no one to blame but himself in all this, hope he gets help lmao
as a woman living in america thats how my friends and i talked about it the morning of the election were so cooked 😭 ive seen some commentors talking about him potentially being bipolar and i do think it is a possibility he should look into some time-- im genuinely concerned
I mean it seems valid to me, he's always been relaxed and kind of whatever about stuff I guess it didn't matter to everyone until it affected something that they cared about, then his so-called "fans" turned on him and he lashed out back at em. It's funny that people are speaking out against him saying Idol shouldn't date yet are proving exactly that, when idle does something that a fan doesn't like or "betrays the fans trust" they turn vitriolic and will use and say ANYTHING to hurt the Idol. So as much as it's for the fan it's also for the Idol benefit not to do so. Absolutely Idol should have a lot more freedom than they do but Easter prime example of why idols don't have that much, it's too complicated and too dangerous to their career. Idols aren't allowed to have opinions or handle things differently than each individual fan feels that they should.

This is another case of "intent" versus "impact."

obviously i’m not famous, but a very similar thing happened to me in a specific fandom i was in with a joke i meant harmlessly that everyone took the wrong way (not k-pop fandom).
I'm sorry you had to go through this yourself, it's always the people behind screens, you didn't deserve that. I'm sending you hugs

However, I noticed that in this video, while you mentioned a lot of the struggles Beomhan has faced this year, one key detail was left out: he was falsely accused of s*xual assault. Being under so much pressure, especially with false accusations, can make anyone say things they might not mean. honestly, he just isn't idol material. he's much better off being a streamer or youtuber. he could still have fans and make content, but wouldn't be placed within the idol bubble and would have more freedom with less limitations. he does need media training though if he genuinely wants a career in entertainment, he has practically no professional qualities nor the ability to manage his image. he's silly and chill which some people like, but severely lacks self awareness and can't handle criticism well at all.
to maintain the image of an idol you need a pretty clean rep sheet, he threw that away a LONG time ago. honestly i think it's hilarious he's policing idols on the no dating policy but acts like this... come on now. not a fan, but i hope he gets his life in order, it's hard seeing anyone having an absolute crisis. i don't think he's a bad person, i think he's a genuinely well meaning young man who will look back on himself one day and cringe, HARD. he needs to grow tf up, i hope he gets help.
the woman/election joke wasn’t even that offensive but he made it so much worse with his reactions omg
exactly, the joke isn't the problem. the way he reacted was too aggressive and he's clearly not doing okay
i feel so bad for him, no other idol would be able to open up about and trying to commit. but, i definitely think he has bipolar and i want him to take a break from the cameras and the hate, i hope he will be able to see a therapist and talk to them about the hate.
I don't use social media besides yt so I don't know how extreme people are but seeing those comments omg, people are so evil.
I know a person (ex friend) who intentionally tries to hurt people like that ans it's scary.
I guess those internet people are like that and getting free party to hurt people through social media.
@@sanez25 yeah people are disgusting and we need to be the bigger person and log off when it starts to affect us mentally. I never said it was his fault but haters will be haters and he clearly can't cope so I recommend him to focus on himself and his career and not give those people a chance to say such things.
@@lovelickyx yeah I am not blaming you,I mean the other comments on this channel saying he needs to log off and calling him insane.
I think his response is any normal person response to hate. Just because they are idols people expect them to quiet and take in all the hate
I remember watching his lives and honestly i loved this guy. I would've loved him as my friend. He always seemed like a hilarious, unhinged person and people loved his personality. I was too shocked to know that he had depression and had been thinking about suicide. I guess the media took a toll on his brain but i actually feel so bad for him. His this side is scary and i just cant believe it's the same person
Hope he takes some time off social media and get therapy
He really SHOULDN'T BE A IDOL. I am not hating on him but, if he cannot control what he is saying then when he will be an idol the hate train omg...
No man have no rights to be mocking about Women’s rights
say it
Not that deep. He’s not mocking women’s rights. He’s tryna make light of a situation. All women and minorities will be affected. It’s not all about women.
We all know that He didnt try to mock it but lighten the situation even tho he failed hard
he didnt even mock it, 😭😭😭 yall are soft as shit
@@Mosaic-yu2fh there's no room to make jokes when women are literally being targeted for having their rights revoked. you guys defend this buffoon wayyyy too much. he's a grown adult who clearly knows wtf they're saying.
I have never seen a persons career go downhill that fast 😭
two things bother me right now
First of all, Beomhan boy did say a lot of stupid things trying to be funny and it didn't work, i quite understand that someone has problems and doesn't know what to say or how to say it, but he really screwed up
The other thing, kpop fans are making attempts to massively support people who lose their careers like seunghan or sojin for netizen being the worst in the world but when it comes to guys like beomhan they are begging for that guy to k_ll himself. it's so stupid and selective they don't know how to act in one line
anyway, that guy needs to get off his social media and start doing something better with his life outside "being idol"
it’s not selective. he did something people didn’t agree with so people aren’t supporting him. that’s like saying “um how can kpop stans support other idols but not seungri? 😢” like there is a REASON
Call it for what it is, misogyny. I feel like the comparison is very out of place too. Didn’t seunghaan just date? And Sojin was falsely accused?. Also I don’t think it’s the same people who defended them the ones telling him to khs. No need to generalize to make a point.
@@SpudhutCXrep You mean misandry?
@@bobatea1950then you don’t know much about how fans treated him during his debut, making fun of him and calling him talentless, both sides are at fault babe
@@trishale6793 babe, how many idols have you seen be called talentless? cause i can’t begin to count. those people will always exist. that has nothing to do with him specifically. when you put yourself out there you get those kinds of people. but this backlash specifically about things HE ACTUALLY SAID makes sense. you can’t offend people and expect them not to react.
Never even heard of this guy before this incident the other day...but it seems like he needs to get off social media and get help. These are not the words or actions of someone who is well.
same its bizzare how we end up hearing about certain ppl usually due to them wanting so much attention 😂 idols or not their demise is also their choice unless i consider anything to be foul play but he hasnt been murdered yet nor has he murdered himself either. idfk it feels like all these wannabe internet stars seek a certain reaction from a certain age range then act shocked when it hits them in their balls
@@randomuser-nt9if having such a blase opinion towards mental health is disgusting. i sincerely hope you reevaluate your caustic commentary or at least stop to contemplate how your words might reflect to others who see them.
@@randomuser-nt9ifwell you really don't know any single shit about him. Please. Shut up. You're not even better than those who are threatening him. He's going through a worst phase. Instead of saying bad things about him, think about his mental health.
@@beautyholic5592I completely agree with you, like he's literally have suicid!l thoughts and stuff and you're saying it's public stunt when it's clearly bot
I haven’t really followed him but he has popped up on my feed a couple times. He is very obviously mentally ill, he was abused by his company and did a livestream after he self harmed himself.
he reminds me of my friend when she had a manic bipolar episode. I hope he checks himself into inpatient to get comprehensive care because he's really not doing well.
maybe i'm alone in this but i didn't think his comments on the election were bad at all, quite the opposite actually. not really sure why anyone had a problem with what he said, that's the type of thing my sister and i would say to eachother. i guess i don't speak for all women but i did not find it insensetive in the slightest, and from my perspective a lot of people are making an issue out of nothing. why you hating on a man who's on your f*cking side, ya know? i sure didn't like the "idols shouldn't date" opinion he had though. I also think that people see him as an easy target because he says his feelings and opinions, because he is significantly more human then all the (i'm saying it) robot idols. I think people are taking advantage of that and bullying him.
i agree
EXACTLY! Someone who didint care wouldnt even actknowledge that womens rights might be going into the gutter
its just out of touch because trump already vetoed (AKA rejected) a national abortion ban, he has no current policy that infringes on womans rights. hes just talk out of his ahhh
Beomhan's downfall is something I never expected.. ain't no way 💀
same 😭
you're dumber than shit then because this guy has been visibly unhinged for ages now
Well, he just ruined his almost non-existent music career
his new song sounds like something that would be in a 2018 gacha
Beomhan u need a break ASAP. Get off that phone, go see a therapist and come back later before this turns for the worst.
he’s saying things and responding exactly how every single person on the internet does, but because he has a platform he is getting hated.
AND FOR DEFENDING HIM TOO?
At some point after the 'idols shouldn't date' thing, he took his comment back and mentioned he was convinced of that stuff by the company and that he bought into it at the time.
He was forced to say that by his company, that clip is 3 years old.
He was mad. Haven't you ever being angry ever in your life or are u a perfect little angel who always acts like a rational robot? Yall literally pushed that boy to his edge and are now acting like this?
@ he literally said “rip” to women and expected women to not be angry?! He also hated on someone who was defending him.
He needs rest i’m worried for him
Beomhan just needs to get offline bc it’s not doing any good for him but his fans need to wake tf up and hold him accountable.
2:53 it was so bad for ngl😂
the joke was insensitive and silly and he really should’ve just apologized and left it at that. him taking it back was a stupid move (even tho obviously ableism is never okay) and the crash out just made him look worse. not to mention watching it was kinda scary- i had to turn it off because the way he yelled reminded me all too much of men in my life who have tried to intimidate me into doing as they say. he is obviously not well and needs to stay offline for a good long while.
the dating take was insane
bro really thought it would do him any good to say that
i’ve said before that he sometimes talks like he’s having a manic episode and everyone took it as me hating on him
end of the day, his joke was bad and tone deaf. he ain’t a woman, he literally will never deal with what women have to deal with especially with the election results. now telling him to off himself is completely wrong, especially bringing back something he opened up about with his fans. his complete crash out just shows he needs a complete break from social media. i can’t say what i would do in his situation but he needs a break.
gringos are so sensitive but he is acting really strange tho
im spaniard but alright
@hyuncute no estaba hablando de ti, digo en general
I'm not even mad at him, I feel bad. People that don't deal with mental health problems don't get it, but lashing out and spiraling is very real. I hope he gets better.
he needs to focus on his mental health and delete the internet!! he keeps trying to get validation online- someone call help for this guy?!
I hope his family helps him... cause internet is not helping in this situation
honestly i think the joke itself wasn’t intentionally malicious but just in remarkably poor taste considering the circumstances and i can see why it pissed people off. his brand of humor was just completely inappropriate for the context.
Y'all need to pay attention & be mad at what is happening in America.
i didn't mind the rip women thing that much but the "go shopping or something" actually shock me and made me a little mad ngl😭.
@@jinndiaz3752 people can still think jokes are in poor taste, even if they are jokes. It is a sensitive topic after all, so its harder to make a joke land with people
Yall making it seem like its completely his fault no the internet was literally doing way to much he said sorry and then put his opinion saying he basically was still sorry and that yall took his character wrong and they did like people over there being happy all the time yes hes mental but as society its not just his fault thosepeople replying to his is just as fucked up telling him to kill himself he has every right to be frustrated
I didn’t really know but you explained really well respect for you and I hope he gets some help and goes offline

I’m so behind when it comes to him, I didn’t like him and didn’t hate him, in fact I barely knew him, I just saw a few clips of his streams and he seemed like a funny guy. I didn’t even know he left the company, in 2023?? Where have I been??
And him saying all of that on a live was super unexpected 😧
Out of all the people in the world, beomhan is the last person I would expect to crash out like this. He always seemed like such a positive person that I would love to be friends with which is why everyone is so shocked. He genuinely genuinely just needs to take a break and work on his mental health.
After a super mediocre debut all this chronically online shit has destroyed him that man is never going to debut we gotta let him live a pedestrian life
his own problems are his problems not his audiences
ppl called me a bitch for saying this before but you’re 100% right, he just needs to get tf out of the spotlight and work on his mental health because none of this is working
@@randomuser-nt9if nobody said his problems we’re the audience’s they are clearly his, which is why he needs to deal with them quietly not in the public eye hence letting him live a pedestrian life……

Bruh as a woman? That was fine… You can tell he’s just trying to put a smile on our faces during a rough week. What the heck are these people on. “Oh he’s making it lighthearted” like yeah… that’s the point… because it’s heavy, any normal person will know it’s a heavy topic. Only thing I will say though he shouldn’t be going off that hard, but I can understand how frustrating it must be that these people are taking his lives sooo personally like godamn I agree they should get a life- but him reacting like that sadly doesn’t help his case… I hope he learns to just ignore this in the future… I was expecting some bad shit but this? Y’all need to calm down for real
also something to add abt the kyoongfairy tweet is that he falsely accused her of saying the r slur when she didn't and he also stole revelmixes's idea abt fixing his debut for a contest that nobody won therefore wasting a bunch of producer's time and energy he also name dropped them, made fun of their living situation, and proceeded to yell at the people in his live which they shared in a tweet posted near the time he was getting called out
omgg it goes from bad to worse
That joke was honestly something to be said only with close friends, not out in the internet forever
People seriously need to get a life and stop being offended by everything and everyone it's so pathetic
the Gabbie Hanna-ification of beomhan
wait so beomhan said kpop idols shouldnt date but he claims he has a gf as a comeback to a fan that listed the bad things he did? oh !
1. That clip of him saying idols shouldn't date was from 3 years ago when he was under his KPOP company
2. A little bit after he left the company he was explaining that he was forced to say that by the KPOP company
He needs to put the phone down
On one hand beomhan was right and these ppl were being dramatic, but on the other hand im once again disappointed to see someone who seemed so kind and lovely show his real face. But at the end of the day we shouldn't worry that much about others, and not expect anything from them. We will only be disappointed
"show his real face" and its just a mental spiral...
“Show his real face” girl….what?🫨
@SADIE_Maybe_SADISTIC girl yes. Everyone is out there showing their best sides, but in reality we don't even know them and this clip of him shouting proves it.
In the end they're still men
As someone from there, he’s an average New Yorker…
He’s more chronically online than my friends, yet, I think if he gets the help he needs he could have a bright future as an Idol.
He needs to think before he rambles because that’s kind of what he does
Using his past attempts to gain sympathy is insane
it's soo bad 😭😭
Nutty behaviour
On one hand, the death threats and hate are terrible and he doesn't seem to be in a good place mentally. That being said, I'm not gonna excuse this sort of behavior and his joke was pretty tasteless.
srry unserious comment but the switch up 4:21 - 4:44 is so funny to me omg
He said nothing wrong & he's right. Who are these so called "Americans" who were offended? women's rights are in danger cause of trump.
I mean I don’t think he was rlly making a joke abt women’s rights but also don’t blame all the women in America like there were a few of them who were stupid enough to vote trump but not all of them
A "few" didn't just vote wrong. Be for real. Lots of people voted wrong for selfish ignorant reasons.
He was making a correct joke. Basically saying women are screwed cause who the president is now. People are chronically online.
imagine how many idols are like this but we don’t know because they’re not allowed to have free range of social media like that
i dont think that rip women joke was offensive😭 me and my friend been making the same joke since election night
although it could leave a stale taste in the mouth, especially after his tweets😭
i honestly don't feel bad for him. if you egg on negativity even after apologizing for something then that's just shooting yourself in the leg. ppl shouldn't have sent him death threats, that was weird. but there's a lot of coping in this comment section as if to say being mentally unwell excuses dumb behavior. he needs to be more mindful of what he says, if you're gonna have a platform then be wise about it. i have depression and i'd consider myself something of an internet addict, but even i know when to take a break. no one to blame but himself in all this, hope he gets help lmao
He needs to take a break from social media, he is having a very serious mental health crises. Hope he heals
as a woman living in america thats how my friends and i talked about it the morning of the election were so cooked 😭
ive seen some commentors talking about him potentially being bipolar and i do think it is a possibility he should look into some time-- im genuinely concerned
Why were they so pressed over the “rip women” ?? I am one and live in America and didn’t offense to it… ppl get mad over nothing..
