Nah it was pretty well thought off. It makes sense to think that gremmy doesnt need to kill someone to prove himself i mean the stronger you are the more complacent you feel about your surroundings, but that unknowingly made him limit his powers, like he can just insta death someone but for him its pretty unecessary even though it actually does.
