Season 1 - Episode 8: The Turbulent Society

In the fall of 2018, Nikao Wallace (drums) was the central intersecting person who introduced Aleik, Timmy and Ric DeLozier which resulted in the formation of The Turbulent Society. Sadly, our musical community lost Ric to cancer on December 31st, 2019. But The Turbulent Society carries Ric’s legacy and influence forward...his spirit and talent continues on in the music the band performs today.
So many famous musician/band comparisons throughout the history of popular music leap to mind to describe this group that…for the sake of brevity, we will leave it to the reflective listener to ID the numerous stylistic influences that surface within these four tunes.
Nikao’s ‘android-with-a-heart’ precision and Timmy Rakes bass guitar lay down a perfectly balanced foundation for Aleik’s vocal and impressive guitar…nuanced and interesting but never overplayed.
So don your loudest paisleys and flowers…grab your free ticket here and climb aboard the magic bus for a trip back to the late 60’s/ early 70’s with stopovers in more recent decades along the way.
Make no mistake though, The Turbulent Society has staked its claim solidly in modernity and is crafting music with a future…bearing a name chosen some years ago that seems almost prophetic today.
