- Scott Miller has been around…experienced things that many of us haven’t…but also dwelt deeply in the experiences common to us all, drilling through the superficial to mine the ore beneath.
From Russian studies to the formation of the V-Roys, from the first (and perhaps only) cross-country band tour based on Amtrak stops, to leading the resident band on a national television show, from walking away from a musical career when it was at its most promising to care for elderly parents, to becoming a cattle farmer…Scott has a vast reservoir from which to create insightful, poetic imagery regarding the human condition.
To paraphrase Scott from Part 2 - The Podcast Interview, early in his musical career he realized he was writing ‘timely’ songs…not ‘timeless’ songs, and with conviction to fuel the vision, set about to alter course.
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with Scott Miller, the five tunes within this set showcase that his efforts were not in vain.
For long time fans…you will revisit the lyrical gift and enduring melodies you know and love…those attributes which galvanize a lasting body of work.
Give these songs the attention they deserve and catch his live performance when his touring schedule brings him near your town.
Enjoy,
BSST
