American tune was ❤my favorite and I never heard it that way, so crystal clear….as if Simon was singing it in the background…a song that lives from the lyrics…how can he play it so well that the lyrics seem to be within his playing? I ask myself.
Jeezuz, couldn't they afford a covered venue, or even a backup marquee. I've been a roadie and a performer and we all refused to play in the rain. The union (here in Australia) also put a stop to it back in about ... ooh .... 1985.
That tune at 18 min is J.S Bach.-Choral nr 44Befiehl du deine wege -St Matthew passion. Great playing . Best tune at that gig.😎👍
Rain wont stop people listening to the world's greatest guitarist (certified)

@@bencalebcgp yeah, I guess you are right. That guy is mind blowing. Good to have him on planet earth 🙏😀
I've played guitar for 57 years but my worst nightmare would be to play a set after Tommy!!!
Thank you for sharing. Too bad for bad weather, but you sure had great time with Tommy 🥰
Were they giving out blue ponchos? Did Tommy do "Song for a rainy morning"? The sound is great on this recording, thanks for posting!
One if the sponsors of the festival was giving out the blue plastic ponchos. Thanks for commenting!
