Episode 66: Benyar Milgauss Watch Review
This episode I review this controversial piece by Benyar! It’s got a magnificent dial and has some faults but overall the watch is not bad for the price.

I bought this watch recently, and here are my thoughts. Other than the branding, which is Benyar, not Rolex, this watch is about 99% identical with the Rolex from the front. From the back, the two watches are totally different. The Benyar has a display back revealing a fairly humdrum undecorated movement. The Rolex has no display back.
As for the bracelet, I paid little attention to it because I dislike metal bracelets and as with any braceleted watch I buy, it arrived with a wrist strap. In this case, I bought a safety orange silicone strap to pick up the color of the lightning bolt seconds hand. The combination is very striking indeed. I know people will be asking me about the watch.
Back to the movement. Reviewers kind of dismiss it as "a cheap Chinese movement." Well, I put it to the test with a watch timer and it's right on the money. No deviation at all. Forget Rolex's +/-2 seconds. A +/-2 second Rolex Milgauss is less accurate than this $54.99 Benyar homage.
I don't pretend that this is a great watch. The movement may become less accurate over time and need service for that or other possible reasons. If it does, I'll gladly simply buy another one.

@@TheWatchConcierge BTW, I finally got around to checking the movement's accuracy. Turns out, it's dead on. +/-0. At the moment, it's my most accurate watch. So much for "cheap Chinese movement," eh?

Nice review John! It’s a good looking homage I gotta say. I wish they would do a full “sainless steel” option which I and many others would pay extra for! I’m really digging the dial color too! 😎🍻👍
Yea I think I will sell my Benyar Explorer and gather up some money for a Tisell instead and maybe keep this one since there aren’t really many Milgauss homages that I am aware of. Thanks for watching!

I think for $60, you should be at least getting stainless steel. It's a good-looking watch though but you can get other stainless steel watches, even an NH35 movement like with Cadisen watches. However, I guess it would be hard to find a Rolex Milgauss homage at that price point.
Well I got it for $45 but yea I wish it was stainless steel! Yea I haven’t found many Milgauss homages out there so I think I’ll keep this one. Thanks for watching!

São da mesma fabrica mas Pagani Design é de melhor qualidade, mas também é mais caro.

Its nice, but its not sainless steel, its zinc and nickel, which means the watch is goin to rust out very soon. If its not bright and shiny, would look like a $5 watch you buy at the supermarket, not a Rolex. There are better brands out there, chinese, they make great watches and cost a fraction of Benyar, also much better quality, and no spellilng mistakes.

How long is the power reserve? And doesn't it feel too tall at 13 (or 14)mm?
