They got rid of the SRT but kept the Scat Pack. They added the SRT options to the Scat Pack. In my eyes that makes the Scat Pack a SRT. It replaced the SRT. You have the option of getting a plain Scat or SRT Scat. I’ve owned a 2016 Charger Scat and Hellcat. My new 2020 Widebody Scat rides as good if not better than Hellcat.

SRT powered, SRT performance page, SRT brake calipers, SRT 392 engine, it’s basically an SRT vehicle. Remove the badges from an SRT and a scat, a regular person most likely will not know the difference. Either way this car will have you smiling from ear to ear.

OK so basically all I heard that makes a difference is leather seats in a plastic bag… well I can what you’re saying calling it an RT but if it has everything in SRT has then you have an SRT. The only thing I want to hurt SRT logo on my car is the steering wheel because the Dodge is not appealing now a slim body scat is another story
SRT is their performance group. SRT 392 is one discontinued model, Scat Pack is another model which has actually been around longer than SRT 392s, since the 70s, but are now built with the modern day 392 Hemi. BOTH VEHICLES ARE SRT VEHICLES. Scat packs are NOT SRT 392, and SRT 392 are not scat packs. They are both internally the same. It's just for marketing.
Do you call a Hellcat a “Hellcat” or do you call it an “SRT” ? We all know before the Hellcat, the top model was a SRT 392. Now a Scat has the 392 SRT Motor, therefore its a fuckin SRT. I cant stand this argument, it soooo stupid. The car has SRT all over it, what other proof do you all need !!!

I agree. These car aren’t SRTs. They are scat pack and hellcat challengers and chargers all developed and powered by SRT….Street and Racing Technology. Anyone calling their car specifically an SRT is saying they have a “street and racing technologies” and is therefore a moron.
I feel you, buuutt SRT mainly refers to the technology of the 392 Hemi.. So getting THE STREET RACING TECHNOLOGY package essentially gives you the SRT bragging rights. 🤔🤷🏿♂️

@@professorstein5855 At the end of the day, R/T Scat Packs aren't an official SRT product. The Scat Pack is pretty much Dodge's version of the Camaro LT1. Dodge's website says "SRT" for the Hellcats and above anyways, so there's no arguing the point that Scat Packs aren't SRTs

I'm new to the world of Dodge. I always thought in order of V8 models is RT, Scat, SRT8/Hellcat.
I'm reading recently about people with "RT Scats" that apparently don't have the 392, it's a 5.7 I guess. And then there's the "SRT Scat" which has the 6.4 L ? I'm 100% confused, and very interested in being able to have some clarity on this. Thanks.
Lol dodge just made it very confusing. All scats have 6.4. Some challengers are labels as rt scatpacks after they went away with the srt8 and the srt. Then you have the regular rt that’s a 5.7 but anything that has that little bee is a 6.4.

I hate this SRT crap 🤦♂️. I have a 22 Scat Pack and it has the flat bottom racing wheel or whatever it's called. 6 piston brembo's, came with 275's, etc etc yadda
@@blinsenb no it doesnt, scats dont come with the SRT steering wheel. I tried optioning one out and even called the dealer, its not an option.
Well.. It's on my moroney window sticker as an option, and it's on the car. That's why this is confusing.
@@blinsenb only SRT cars come with the steering wheel or full leather seats. Scats are there for people that couldnt afford, or better words, didnt want a 392 with all the options. You can get a bare minimum scat with a small screen, smaller brakes, lower trim seats and suspension but still have that 6.4L to save money. All SRT's come fully loaded. Scatpacks are powered by SRT, without being that SRT trim if that makes sense. Go to the website and build a challenger or charger, SRT line up doesnt start till the hellcat. It doesnt make the Scatpack any less of a car, I think its in a trim level of its own and has its own heritage since back in the day unlike the hellcat.
I think the SRT has 2 main mechanical differences. It comes with the ZFHP90 transmission like the hellcat and has active suspension. The active suspension comes with the widebody, but not available for the non-widebody.
Why would Who Is Louie "heart" a comment that is verifiably false? You realize, you can pull the VIN off of any dealer website for an SRT392, and pull the build sheet and window sticker online. The SRT392 has an HP70 like the Scat Pack. And the active suspension is available on Scat Packs. If you need help on how to do this I can show you.

@@eagercharger2163 An easy way to get it is to get the widebody package. It comes with that. The Challenger Scat Pack also comes with it on the 1320.

I thought you might have known a way someone could order a non-widebody scatpack with the active suspension. Maybe something I missed when I ordered my 2018 3 years ago.

Pre 2018, Scatpacks sat higher than the SRT because of the Bilsteins and lower spring height. Also, one thing you didn't mention is the SRT comes with SRT logo steering wheel which actually lights up when parking or full headlight system is on . Also, SRTs came all one colour vs the Scat or Daytona that usually had black spoilers

No scat pack are not srt, but it’s powered by srt… Daytona took over for srt 392, then all srt options been available since’19
2023 Wide Bodies no longer say R/T on the VIN. They just say "Dodge Charger Scat Pack Wide Body." Fully loaded, the only notable differences are 4-piston Brembos in the back, Alcantra seats, a red button, and badges. That's it. And if we're being honest, only the breaks have anything to do with performance. As far as badging goes, SRT breaks say "Brembos." WB Scat Pack breaks say SRT. So if SRT owners wanna base everything on badging, then a fully-loaded 2023 WB Scat has just as much SRT lettering on the car as the 2018 SRT 392.
Also, since we're comparing the recent WBs to a discontinued 5 to 7-year old car, if people want to change the badges, I wouldn't consider it up-badging unless they tried to use the SRT Hellcat logo.

Proper video man. Coming from a SRT392 owner. 👏. The only other minor thing I could think of is the spoilers on srt392s are colored matched to the car instead of the satin black. Atleast for the 15-18s. I know now they are mostly all color matched on the newer ones. The dealer sticker actually says "SRT392" for the srts. The scats didn't, they would say RT. But yeah, these days they let you option them all the way out.

Metro pcs is metro pcs but is powered by teen mobile and metro is using t mobile satellite which makes metro pcs much faster and better than how it was before. Scat Packs are from the SRT division. I called customer service about a year ago and was transferred to the SRT department after I identified my car - which is a Scat Pack.

Yo Louie.. so i got a 21' Scatpack and noticed R/T isn't anywhere on the car or paperwork. My cousin gots a 20' Scatpack widebody challenger and his has R/T badges on it. So my question is- is the 21' Scatpack still considered an R/T? Or is it in a whole different trim level of its own now?
Didn't purchase the wide body model scat pack but I've seen wide body kits online for $1,100 just have to paint match it. Seems cheaper than spending extra $5k or so for the wide body model 🤔 ?

Bruh I’m not even a mopar fan tbh, but even tho you wanna sit here and say Scats aren’t SRTS then your trippin. First and foremost as of I believe 2020 and up goes The Widebody Scatpacks and Hellcats are literally the same car inside and out Dodge got rid of all of the “bells and whistles” that y’all been trying to say the Scat didn’t have to say it’s not An SRT are now changed clearly for a reason they dropped the RT name they have the suspension and brakes. If you wanna say older Scats aren’t sure but now. It’s funny cuz in the video he says how options were specific to only Hellcats but now Hellcats and Scats basically have the same factory options. The Scat engine is made by Srt officially on the website of dodge and as well says SRT on the physical engine.
What the issue really is that y’all assume because it says Srt it’s a Hellcat, and trust me I’m not arguing that the Scatpack is a Hellcat which is not. However, like I said interior to exterior the Scatpack and Hellcat are the exact same except for the engine being a supercharged 6.2 but that’s about it. Scats have the info pages and an SRT engine, the Srt 392 never said just “SRT” physically on it, it says 392 hemi and even the Hellcat doesn’t even Say SRT on the engine, it’s says Supercharged hemi and the supercharger has the Hellcat symbol on it. Every reason ppl have been saying for years now about how the “Scat was missing this or that disqualifying it from being an srt are now changed and gone with a bunch of stuff on the car saying Srt.
I feel like the main difference from scatpack and srt is the suspension system. Srt has the ability to hard or soften the suspension . Hence why srt ride way more smoother than scat packs. Scat pack just got the regular lowered suspension.

Paddle shifters were bigger on SRT. Also the original Scat Pack couldn’t get the upgraded Harmon and Kardon. They only had Beats and Alpine until later on.

Yes - think of the scat pack as a platform, which can be built out like an SRT 392. But the platform allows for lower level options - therefore you can’t say Scatpacks are SRTs because of the options available

and the gauges says srt and the scatpack does not
and the seats have srt on them just like the older hellcats, scatpacks only have the bee

Old argument.....but basically the SRT model should have never been called SRT. If you research, SRT Acronym was created by and represents the department at Dodge that designed the super charged Hemi. Thus SRT - Street and Race Technology. RT - Road and Track. They should have reserved SRT for Super charged engines only. Some say the Scat is a base model version of the SRT..............But in reality the SRT was basically an RT with some minor suspension options and then a bunch of grades you can get cheaper after market. Now they got us arguing over status of an Acronym! lol Its misleading... Makes people think just cause you have an "SRT" your car can perform at a significantly higher level than a Non-SRT model (Scat, Daytona etc.).....and that's sooo far from the truth. I have a 2019 scat with the SRT options yet I would get roasted if I put an SRT badge on (which i dont care to do tho). Then Dodge put Powered by SRT on the Scat engine which means what???? Its powered by SRT technology.....but its not an SRT! Damn..... is it just a Status badge, is it a particular technology, a special department at Dodge............? I'll wait. lol
