My advice from a long life of hardships and achievements, get what you can afford for now which in my case at the time was a 8k lincoln town car with 80k miles, paid it off in full with extremely cheap cost to own, build your credit up to a 700 minimum and put 30k back in the bank, then ask yourself what nice thing do you want, sometimes we all want the best and most fast right now but most of the time we gotta grind and make good life choices, don't stop the grind and do your best to make it work even if it takes you anywhere from a year to 20 years it'll all work out if you focus

2020 Scat Pack with 23,000 miles. 45k. Traded in my car in this terrible market because I knew I could get a lot for it. Owed 16k, dealer gave me 23k, paid 33k out the door. JD Power book value was 43k clean trade. Paid 10k under clean trade in value. 3.8% interest rate so my payment is only $534
2017 Challenger Scat W/ Shaker. Bought in 2023 with 11000 miles on it. Payment is $776. Oil change is roughly every 2 months at $160. I'd say $320-350 a month in gas at Costco, would be a lot more at a random gas station. I have 2 Challengers and insurance is $520 a month for both so roughly $230 for insurance. Just bought 4 new tires and with discounts was $1800 dollars. You NEED at least 275's on the back. 245's are perfectly fine in the front. Do not go cheap on your tires! I would say after a year of driving the car that I've had a blast. HOWEVER, I don't feel the cost of owning one is worth it. I can never have a stress free drive to and from work... or anywhere for that matter. Always have people reving or acting stupid when I'm just trying to relax and drive. I was pulled over 3 times in the first month for trivial reasons. My previous 2 cars were Honda Accords and hadn't been pulled over in like 10 years. Also, maybe washed by Accord like once every 6 months. This car, I have a membership to a car was and am there 2 times a week because I feel like you have to keep these clean to hold value in the long run. I haven't had to replace the brakes yet but I don't even want to know how much that costs. Just kind of over it.
Crazy. I pay $258 a month for my RT. Insurance $178 a month. $60-$70 to fill up at Costco, twice a week. My first car btw @ 22. Got a loan from credit union @ a low apr. solid credit score. I did good first time around 😤

My only advice is.. do your homework before you buy. You can ruine your credit really easly by missing payments or repossessed. I would say you can afford this car if bills, car payments, insurance, gas, and other living expenses take up 40% or less of your monthly income. I have a premium mustang GT and pay alittle less than 600 a month and 120 for insurance. It's definitely not my daily car, Just a weekend car. With my bills, car payments and every other expense. It only takes up maybe 20% of my monthly income.
I’m looking into buying a new Scat-Pack wide body, I will probably be ordering it within 2 weeks from now and your video provided some insight. I already new about the gas cost, monthly payment averages, oil change cost, tire costs and little things like that. One thing that’s lingering is insurance cost since I did just turn 20 - I have a perfect record from when I started at 16 and my credit score for the time being is lingering around ~710 (I do have a job but I don’t pay for much just my car loan right now that’s $200 a month and that’s me putting extra) so hopefully it won’t be more than $500 which is what I was initially thinking it was going to be lol. These cars pretty decent on gas considering how much power they put out. If you’re just cruising around the city/ highway doing regular speeds you’ll get 21/22 mpg 😭
The good thing with these cars is the MDS system they have. It cuts the cylinders in half and it becomes a 4 cylinder while cruising. Definitely helps with the MPGs.

for gas, id average out how many miles you're driving yearly, how many miles to the gallon you're averaging, and then the current price or current average price of a gallon in your city/state plus how many gallons to fill it up. Doing da big maths, you should find what you're paying a month on gas, divide it into quarters. that's your weekly payment of gas, give or take, n IF you daily da scatty (yikes).
Depends on your other monthly expenses. Generally you want to be making as close to double or more of what you’re putting out in order to live comfortably, based on your goals and what you’re trying to do in life.
Yo bro, Im not you and idk how you live your lifestyle or what you plan on doing in the future but personally I wouldnt feel comfortable having to pay that much with even 4.5k - 5k a month maybe more. It really depends on your expenses and what you plan to do later in life. I really suggest you sit down and come up with a list and write what your monthly expenses are and what you plan on doing in the future. If you do that it will really show you if its worth it or not. Hopefully you can come up with a decision that works best for you.

Not a good financial decision. But smile per mile can you put a price tag on happiness.

for gas, id average out how many miles you're driving yearly, how many miles to the gallon you're averaging, and then the current price or current average price of a gallon in your city/state plus how many gallons to fill it up. Doing da big maths, you should find what you're paying a month on gas, divide it into quarters. that's your weekly payment of gas, give or take, n IF you daily da scatty (yikes).
Yo Louie I’m making 3k a month did the math and Scatpack gonna cost me around 1,200$ a month is it worth it?
It gets decent mileage if you keep your foot out of it. Definitely better than my lifted ram
