Here's a story: some guy at school thrown a little coin,and it flew and nearly killed our youtuber. His life was nearly ended,but he tried, and succeeded,continuing living. That guy,who did that bad thing to Ceave, did detention skip glitch after this.
Ceave, I found a way to get rid of that pesky coin demon in 5-5! It involves a very hard trick using strange long jump physics and a very tricky fire flower shot. I'll try to record a video of me doing it. I did it once, but I am having trouble replicating it. You have to use the Tanooki Suit to use the circle lever to get the the highest point before the great descent. But rather than floating to the platform to play Duck Hunt (Mario style), you have to equip the funky Fire Flower suit and do a long jump at a 45 degree angle (Not a rolling long jump) And when you do this at an angle and tilt the 3D's stick to the top right (You tilt it in this particular direction because it is Mario's right.) This makes it so that Mario's velocity in the air is increased dramatically. It's strange physics, but you can use it to fly in the direction the last beetle is and land a perfect shot on it and land on the flag pole. This is why you don't perform a rolling long jump because you can't shoot fireballs during this variation of the long jump. Actually, you don't have to do all that crazy wall-jumping shenanigans in 7-4. There's a trick that speedrunners use all the time, where you sprint and jump off the rotating blue platforms when they *just* start moving. By then using the tanooki suit, you can skip the entire section with the coins and you land at the part with the star medal. I highly suggest watching some speedruns of the game to see how it's done, it's one of the cooler looking tricks in my opinion!

The "invisible coin" was given to you when you threw the fireball. It bounced off of the wall and hit the cardboard pipe, destroying it and cursing you with the coin.

if you store the tanooki suit on the platform while being fire mario and shoot the fireball at le bug thingy the quickly change to tanooki mario and flutter towards it, i think then the fireball wont de-spawn. i dont now this for shore, because i dont own the game, but maybe this will work.
Way to kill the beetle: 1. Release leaf from inventory 2. Launch a fireball while jumping toward the leaf 3. The fireball will reach the beetle and you will still be floating down
10:10 There is actually a developer oversight that can be implemented here. I discovered that long jumping and moving sideways has no velocity cap so you can reach absurd speeds. (and even make it out of the skybox lmao)

What about the Pwing? I don't have my copy of the game with me right now, but I know that if you die 10 times in a level it will bring you right to the end of the stage, meaning you can bypass the 5-2 coins, though not the 5-5 coins, however you can hold the p-wing as an item for as long as you need so it might be possible to do something with that.
mumblernumber He used lots of sequence breaks but never the Super Tanooki Suit which is the cheat item of that game (I know he said it was technically allowed but considering the fact that using the cheat item in this game completely eliminates all challenge while using it in the score run would give him points and it was therefore not a good idea I wouldn’t count that)

Not necessarily. His last video on Luigi U featured several point-collecting instances where he said it was impossible to remove those points, but thanks to community suggestions, he was able to remove the vast majority in his next video. We just have to work out a way to get these two coins out of the run.

I have been waiting for this to come out! This was the first game I played in the mario series and it came with my 3ds. To this day it is still my FAVORITE game.
Ceave I don’t have the game but I wanted to know if their was a higher platform that you could use to long jump to the pole. If there was then you could probably position yourself to get the four snipes you needed and still land on the top of the pole. I also wanted to know if you could change power ups midair to change into the Tanooki Suit. These are just some theories. Nice video!

Idk if I'm right but I'm sure that you can use a P-Wing after dying 10 times to be teleported into the flagpole, maybe you can use this in the 5-2 And in 7-4 I saw in a speedrun that you can wall jump in the wall from the entrace of this tunnel and go directly into the warp block(Idk how you call that) Sorry if I said something wrong, but I tried my best!
@@dralogator If you die enough times you get a p wing which teleports you to the end. Its different from the yellow tanooki as you need to die less times to get the tanooki.
He probably makes them by taking a screenshot or finding some promotional art, puts the photo in Photoshop or another art program, selects an area with a single color in common, and gets rid of the shading by filling in the area with one shade of the common color. Mario's hat, for instance, isn't a solid red color, but has darker shades of red and mixing of other colors like orange. It's still red generally. tl:dr ceave makes thumbnails by getting rid of shadows and highlights in Mario's official art.
Is Mario a talented plumber though? Water never seems to come out of any of the pipes, and they are always just connected to nothing on the other side. He's not a very good plumber if you ask me.
In 5-5, I think the fireball despawns because you are to far away. Maybe you can jump forward in the exact moment the fireball would hit the enemy, make a turn and land on the platform again. Now you could turn on the tanuki suit and end the level with 0 coins.
I haven't played this game in a while but i think on 5-2 if you long jump shoot a fire ball slow pop your spare power up and insanely slow down you might have a few frames to do it
Okay, crazy idea for the flying beetle coin. This might be impossible and would certainly be difficult regardless, but if you took the fire flower, long-jumped off, shot the fireball at the perfect time and angle, and could somehow switch items to the tanooki mid-jump, just after shooting that perfect fireball, you could then float to the top of the flag. That's a lot of perfection! Another possibility would be if there was some way to cancel a ground pound in midair (or ground-pound the last beetle and hopefully that stops the flag coin), because a ground-pound has the same effect on enemies as the fire flower. I don't know of such a method though.

With the buzzy beetle, there is a glitch where if you throw a fireball just as you are about to pick up a tandoori suit, it makes the falling animation look weird. This is usually just for show, but here’s the thing, this “pointless” glitch lets you throw a fireball from a position further than normal (which is what we need), and when you switch to the tanooki suit, you should (theoretically) kill the buzzy beetle and make it to the top of the flagpole without collecting a single coin. (May take a few tries tho)

SMB: 0 One problem is, that you cannot take the warp from 4-2 to 8-1, since there are invisible coin blocks below the vine block, and the platform moves down so you cannot reach the block. It is still possible to hit the block with a welltimed jump. And reach it with a walljump. But anyways, you still need 2 coins for 8-1. However, you can still take the warp to 5-1. In there, i did a walljump in real-time for no reason. In 5-3, i got hit from the bottom-effect-to-top glitch with a Goomba, but because i used an emulator, i just rewinded. Also, there is a troublesome coin row at the end, but i got a bullet bill right above the platform i was standing on, and i used the hit-enemy-from-all-directions-with-downward-velocity glitch to go over it. In 5-4 near the Bowser fight, there are some coins that you can only dodge if you jump over them with max speed using the ledge on the left or as Small Mario. In 7-3, there is a problematic coin row again, but here there is no choice but to turn into Small Mario and do really short (and i mean, REALLY short) A presses to go under them. In 8-1, then there are 2 coins floating over a large pit. However, you can skip them with a walljump. In 8-4's second section, there is a pipe with an invisible block. That's the pipe we need to go to, but our only option is to do a walljump (which is really hard). Now we did: . THANK YOU MARIO! . . YOUR QUEST IS OVER. . WE PRESENT YOU A NEW QUEST. . . PUSH BUTTON B . TO SELECT A WORLD . (beat the game) In only 0 coins.
I might actually give lost levels a try. Edit 1: to get the the warp in 1-2, theres 2 hidden block you need to use as stairs. In my run, I did a walljump to hit the 2nd block and walljumped on top to go to the warp. If anyone want to help, can they test if the clip in 1-2 is possible. Recording if they can Edit 2: In 4-3, theres a jump where you have to bounce off a parakoopa and then jump over a platform with coins. Its hard but impossible Edit 3: In 5-1, theres another instance of 2 hidden blocks used as stairs except from my knowledge you cant clip into ground blocks. Thanks to the speedrun community, you can use the parakoopas as a boost and get yourself over the wall. Edit 4: 5-2 warp, theres one tree in the way thats filled with coins, you cant get passed it without collecting a coin, you maybe can if you do a full speed jump but i dont think its possible with the layout. Testing to see if its possible with world 7 warp pipe Edit 5: Its possible to go thought world 7 coinless Thats pretty much all the difficulties, thats 0 coins if you can do 1-2 clip. If not 1.

Hamilsongs There actually IS a way to get the P-Wing WITHOUT dying 10 times, but you have to be CRAZY LUCKY to do it. Basically, the World 1 Mystery Box has a very small chance of being a Gold Box with 15 Tanooki Leafs and 1 P-Wing.
It is interesting to see the ways in which a player can approach a game removed from it's intent. It's like a form of questioning or deviance. Reminds me of how some players played Battlefield 3 MP as pacifists or one guy who beat GTA5 without killing anyone.
Hey Ceave, I think you can avoid the last coins in 5-5 if you ground pound the last beatles I haven't tried that, but I think you don't get immediatly coins, if you ground pound enemies in 3D Land. (Sorry for my bad English, but I speak German, like you)

@@gwahrmanto All the ones in the air can be eliminated by fireballs, the only one who is now an issue is the one directly over the flagpole which can be ground-pounded.

I have been waiting for this to come out! This was the first game I played in the mario series and it came with my 3ds. To this day it is still my FAVORITE game.

Ceave I don’t have the game but I wanted to know if their was a higher platform that you could use to long jump to the pole. If there was then you could probably position yourself to get the four snipes you needed and still land on the top of the pole. I also wanted to know if you could change power ups midair to change into the Tanooki Suit. These are just some theories. Nice video!

I theorize it could be possible to drop the tanuki suit, long jump while throwing a fireball so it hits the beetle and just right after that grab the tanuki suit and flutter to the top of the flagpole.
I thought the same thing. But I came up with a better strategy. I'm uploading the video now but it's taking a while because I'm in my college dorm room. Ugh. lol

Ok, I tested and I can confirm 7-4 and 5-2! in 7-4 its a little hard but you just need a Tanooki Suit! (The speedrun is from Kosmicd12 btw!)

@@dralogator If you die enough times you get a p wing which teleports you to the end. Its different from the yellow tanooki as you need to die less times to get the tanooki.

He probably makes them by taking a screenshot or finding some promotional art, puts the photo in Photoshop or another art program, selects an area with a single color in common, and gets rid of the shading by filling in the area with one shade of the common color. Mario's hat, for instance, isn't a solid red color, but has darker shades of red and mixing of other colors like orange. It's still red generally.
tl:dr ceave makes thumbnails by getting rid of shadows and highlights in Mario's official art.

I think the fireball despawns because you are to far away.
Maybe you can jump forward in the exact moment the fireball would hit the enemy, make a turn and land on the platform again.
Now you could turn on the tanuki suit and end the level with 0 coins.
Or throw the fireball, activate the Tanuki suit and jump after the fireball?

I haven't played this game in a while but i think on 5-2 if you long jump shoot a fire ball slow pop your spare power up and insanely slow down you might have a few frames to do it
To practice use an emulator and set a low frame cap if possible
Okay, crazy idea for the flying beetle coin. This might be impossible and would certainly be difficult regardless, but if you took the fire flower, long-jumped off, shot the fireball at the perfect time and angle, and could somehow switch items to the tanooki mid-jump, just after shooting that perfect fireball, you could then float to the top of the flag. That's a lot of perfection!
Another possibility would be if there was some way to cancel a ground pound in midair (or ground-pound the last beetle and hopefully that stops the flag coin), because a ground-pound has the same effect on enemies as the fire flower. I don't know of such a method though.

With the buzzy beetle, there is a glitch where if you throw a fireball just as you are about to pick up a tandoori suit, it makes the falling animation look weird. This is usually just for show, but here’s the thing, this “pointless” glitch lets you throw a fireball from a position further than normal (which is what we need), and when you switch to the tanooki suit, you should (theoretically) kill the buzzy beetle and make it to the top of the flagpole without collecting a single coin. (May take a few tries tho)

One problem is, that you cannot take the warp from 4-2 to 8-1, since there are invisible coin blocks below the vine block, and the platform moves down so you cannot reach the block. It is still possible to hit the block with a welltimed jump. And reach it with a walljump. But anyways, you still need 2 coins for 8-1.
However, you can still take the warp to 5-1. In there, i did a walljump in real-time for no reason.
In 5-3, i got hit from the bottom-effect-to-top glitch with a Goomba, but because i used an emulator, i just rewinded. Also, there is a troublesome coin row at the end, but i got a bullet bill right above the platform i was standing on, and i used the hit-enemy-from-all-directions-with-downward-velocity glitch to go over it.
In 5-4 near the Bowser fight, there are some coins that you can only dodge if you jump over them with max speed using the ledge on the left or as Small Mario.
In 7-3, there is a problematic coin row again, but here there is no choice but to turn into Small Mario and do really short (and i mean, REALLY short) A presses to go under them.
In 8-1, then there are 2 coins floating over a large pit. However, you can skip them with a walljump.
In 8-4's second section, there is a pipe with an invisible block. That's the pipe we need to go to, but our only option is to do a walljump (which is really hard).

I might actually give lost levels a try.
Edit 1: to get the the warp in 1-2, theres 2 hidden block you need to use as stairs. In my run, I did a walljump to hit the 2nd block and walljumped on top to go to the warp. If anyone want to help, can they test if the clip in 1-2 is possible. Recording if they can
Edit 2: In 4-3, theres a jump where you have to bounce off a parakoopa and then jump over a platform with coins. Its hard but impossible
Edit 3: In 5-1, theres another instance of 2 hidden blocks used as stairs except from my knowledge you cant clip into ground blocks. Thanks to the speedrun community, you can use the parakoopas as a boost and get yourself over the wall.
Edit 4: 5-2 warp, theres one tree in the way thats filled with coins, you cant get passed it without collecting a coin, you maybe can if you do a full speed jump but i dont think its possible with the layout. Testing to see if its possible with world 7 warp pipe
Edit 5: Its possible to go thought world 7 coinless
Thats pretty much all the difficulties, thats 0 coins if you can do 1-2 clip. If not 1.

It's a P-leaf, and you don't get to fly up. You just don't take enemy damage.
Hamilsongs There actually IS a way to get the P-Wing WITHOUT dying 10 times, but you have to be CRAZY LUCKY to do it. Basically, the World 1 Mystery Box has a very small chance of being a Gold Box with 15 Tanooki Leafs and 1 P-Wing.
So technically, doing THAT method is NOT cheating.

Hey Ceave, I think you can avoid the last coins in 5-5 if you ground pound the last beatles I haven't tried that, but I think you don't get immediatly coins, if you ground pound enemies in 3D Land. (Sorry for my bad English, but I speak German, like you)

The only way to avoid collecting the coin in 5-2 is by dying over and over until you spawn a p-wing which takes you to the end of the level.
