Oh my! This is such a cool technique!! Watercoloring is not my fave... but this technique is something I'm sure I could use! Thanks so much for inspiring! Love your cards! :)
I was wondering about that…perhaps a sheet of acetate? Parchment would probably not work but would waxed paper or plastic wrap? If you have Slipat type of cookie sheet liner that you are no longer using, perhaps that but Im betting there are other things that would work.
Great question! In place of a silicone mat, you could try a styrofoam plate or some other surface where the ink and water will sit on the surface (and not soak in)

Hello from SC, Lynn!
Hello from Idaho good morning
Love this technique. What else can be used besides the silicon mat?
I was wondering about that…perhaps a sheet of acetate? Parchment would probably not work but would waxed paper or plastic wrap? If you have Slipat type of cookie sheet liner that you are no longer using, perhaps that but Im betting there are other things that would work.

Do you have to use watercolor paper?
I do recommend the watercolor paper as it doesn't break down like regular cardstock will
