- Today we're hanging with Christian of C&I Services LLC in West Chicago and seeing his brand new trailer setup, as well as a tour of a recent landscape job they're working on.
It's been incredible seeing the growth his company these last few years, and this time it's been 2 years since we've gotten an update. Christian is a great role model for young teenagers everywhere who have the ambition to start a lawn care business of their own.
Thanks again to ECHO, EQUIP and STA-BIL for sponsoring the 6 part LawnTOURpreneur Series, we couldn't of done it without their support!

@@BriansLawnMaintenance im am thinking about starting a lawncare business but im only 12 any tips
Seeing others successful is good to see
I own a company based in Knoxville Tn . We have 8 mowing crews and 4 trimming/mulching crews . As always great video Brain !
This young man is a beast in this industry. Love seeing the progress he's made, such an inspiration to us all
Loved watching this series of young Lawn entrepreneurs!! Very educational, informative,& inspirational. Y’all are killing it. May you all have continued success in your future businesses.💯❤️👍🏾😀🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🙋🏽♀️🇺🇸
Brian if you want a unique interview you should interview two black brothers ages 12 and 14 about their lawn care business. They are very well spoken, clean cut, and making a difference in their neighborhood. I told them they ought to touch base with you. Their RUclips channel is Crosse Cutz. Check them out.
Ok thank you! This series was just the 6 interviews but maybe we can tag up with them one day outside of this series. Good looking out!
Crosse Cutz is an interesting start up lawn business. Let's see how they progress.
killing it !

Great video
Like this kid because he stayed in school and has plenty of potential in business. Hope you still enjoyed high school though - time is on your side young fella.
Very inspiring 💯
LOVE THIS
Awesome love seeing success.
Looks good, cant wait for the dingo video, they look fun!
Brian, thanks for all the videos and podcasts. You've helped me grow my business, very much appreciate your hard work. Fyi, and you've mentioned it before, your videos are not showing in my feed, at least not on the day you are posting them. Luckily I won't go more than 2 days without listening to Fullerton unfiltered so I know to check RUclips, but still.
Thanks man. Yeah RUclips doesn't promote the channel like it used to, they don't like seeing our content grow since 2020.
RA Adam's is a great place. That's my snow plow dealer.
Kind of off topic but I’m going to hit the lawn care game come spring pretty hard and trying to figure out how to set up a minimum charge per yard for a trim, mow, blow. Don’t want to be price gouging but also don’t won’t to be leaving a bunch of money left on the table when quoting jobs
$40 minimum for a postage stamp and it goes up from there. $75-$90/hr is a great start, or $90-$120 an acre depending on the lot. Those are some great places to start until you get a solid budget in place and then can work backwards.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance thanks for the info man, your videos have gave so much information to get the path started and in the right track
I wish you would have explored his diesel comment. A Ford diesel runs about $8,000 more. Diesels are more expensive to repair, and many need repairs more frequently. You will get about 35% better fuel mileage, but diesel fuel is more expensive. You get a much greater towing capacity, but most commercial users get no where near a diesel's max - a gas will do just fine. I would like to know how he did his cost/benefit analysis to lead him to believe a diesel would have been a better choice for him.
I have on videos dedicated to this topic!
What kind of maintenance contracts? I'm impressed
Do you ever do walk around of the property identifying broken windows & other issues? I do it every time & take pics of the issues. Had clients try to blame me before but luckily I had taken pics. Lesson learned.
No but that’s a great idea
What sequence do you use when aerating and overseeding and top dressing with organic compost and starter fertilizer?? Would ever finish with a slight layer of peat moss to cover the seed?? Please advise. Thank you
Brian I need your advice on something, in the Detroit area SOS
Email anytime buddy
Hey brian my mom made me flyers for leaf clean ups and im going to bye a new backpack blower my mom said i should not bye the 9010 and get the smaller what do you think i should bye.
My opinion is get the biggest one you can afford! Leaves are a lot of work and the smaller leaf blowers just don’t hold up to using them for a business and commercial work. You’ll want the big ones if you want to get the job done in a fast manner!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance yea i need a upgrade i got pb 265Ln but it got a small gas tank and also its only hip throttle. I like tube throttle better
Go huge!
Like Brian said the biggest you can afford I bought a small one last year and regret but I’ll be buying a big one this fall
@@f7m001 yea i got 530$ when i have enough i hope my mom let me bye the 9010.

Guys. At 7:06 what did he say he laid down. Robex? Road bricks?
Hey Brian can you do a video sheading some light on 5 do and 5 don't
I'll see what I can do!
👍👍
Hey man I am just starting the business out and I’m trying to find the best edger any certain ones you would recommend?
I prefer the Redmax and ECHO straight and curved shaft edgers.
Hey i just got a John deere 36 inch stand on mower, it works great. The only problem that I am trying to fix is when their are bumps sometime the mower skids the grass. How do I fix that to not happen? Thanks!
Don’t reply to that spam message. Thanks Braden.
@@BriansLawnMaintenance ?
@@BriansLawnMaintenance oh nevemind I see what you are saying
How do you think I can overcome that problem?
wait we did not see the mowers/trimmers etc
You can check out his other mow setup vlog we did 2 years ago, that was an in-depth walk through of all his lawn maintenance equipment.

Oh man poor decision for a gasser that will be regretted when they load that with a bin
7.3 is standard starting in 2020... it'll be fine. Diesel maintence/repair costs & DEF systems are nothing but expensive nightmares, especially getting parts right now.
There is a bigger picture than the diesel vs gas dick measuring contest
(not discrediting the 6.7 - great engine, but for landscaping the 7.3 is more than sufficient... but what do I know? Only the silly mechanic that works on Super Dutys.)
that 7.3 will be just fine even with all the weight
@@tylerb272 yeah I’ve come to find that my 7.3 is a beast for what we have used it for. The diesel was $12k more not counting the cost of diesel at $5-$6 a gallon. Hard pass for me unless someone is hauling heavy daily.
Charge them 500% they all got money. Your on the right track ✝ Never second guess YOUR divine intuition. From a big money pro.
