  • What is the best way to get into a Abarth 595 Competizione? If you finance the 595 Abarth here are a number of different ways to get yourself in one of the top spec cars of Abarth 500 range. The Abarth 595 competizione is a great car. It sounds great, looks great, is very nippy but how much does it cost to run one of these from a monthly finance payment perspective?

I know you heard me say this in the golf video but again you always post videos on cars I’m looking into buying lol. I definitely would take this over a GTI. Nothing personal but here in Germany GTIs are everywhere. 595s are not seen as often but there are plenty for sale for good prices and low miles. I’m strongly considering a 595. Great video yet again man 👍

Love the finance route and info you share. Watching from an American USA viewer, now. Sounds pretty pricey from us here. wow. Here in the US, the 500 Abarth is a lot less than another "comparable" US made car! Doesn't make sense does it? Get an Abarth! Save some money. I did the math, bought the Abarth and saved tons of money in the US, having lots of fun in the Abarth and loving the experience. Never as much fun as my 1970 Midget.

Here, our base pay is 1/3 and this comp would be around 31-32k euros. Like 37k dollars. The one I'm looking is a very similar spec to this, but a 2017, with 20k km, 23k and it's a bargain lol I think I'm going to either pick a megane rs (that is around 20k too) or an older abarth for 15k (series 3 if I'm lucky to find one at that price).

Hi Stef, hope you are keeping well. Thinking of parting ways with the 500, 135. It’s running a little tuning box but that’s it so I expect at max it’s 150bhp if I’m lucky. Question for you, is there a real massive difference of feel in the Competizione vs the 500 135 in terms of power. Currently considering either a TT 2.0 tfsi with some mods, a 595 competizione or a TTS. Want something more rapid than my 135 as it’s a great car but feeling sluggish and predictable on the power side of things. Cheers in advance, would love to hear you opinion as I know you have driven loads of them.

The monthly payment is alright, but I rather loan myself the money and pay it back at zero percent interest. Alternatively, I will wait until it hits to a lower depreciation point of the product cycle then buy it if I am still interested in the car. I love these financial series, I find it educational on how to manage part of our finances when purchasing a liability.

Have you got any advice on modding a car on finance? I am dead sure on keeping mine once the PCP runs out, but just worried about the interim period in case it affects the finance. I haven't had one look at my finance agreement before anyone asks, this is just a fresh Q from watching the vid. Would love to mod just don't want any silly consequences as a result!

Hey Stef, I'm new to your channel and I would really like to see one particular video.
I'm interested into a 595 Competizione to replace my wifes Audi A1 which has not really been such a reliable companion.
Here in Switzerland you really see many Fiat 500 and many Abarths (sometimes out of 10 car you can bet that at least 3 are some brand new Abarths) and I really do like the 595.
Unfortunately my wife wants an automatic car and I somehow have the feeling that the 595 automatic is not that great.
Could you please do a comparison between the manual 595 and the automatic one?
Many thanks in advance and greetings from Switzerland

My MTA Abarth ( with sunroof, Carbon seats and all other extras) cost me back 2,5 years ago just 24,000 €..

BARON SAMEDI UK prices with conversion are pretty the same with your price. Compare that price with prices in my country, the Netherlands, and the same car would cost over 30.000€. That is really insane.

    • @Thunder1976NL
      @Thunder1976NL 5 лет назад

Stef ABtv and with a brexit, will probably not get any better. Here in the Netherlands they have a special tax on cars, called BPM. It was just a normal extra tax on cars that got banned by the EU. Now they converted it to a co2 tax. A Mustang Premium GT costs 40.000$ in the USA. In Germany that car will be between 45 and 50.000€. In the Netherlands it starts at 111.000€. The more co2 per km, the heavier it gets taxed. one of the reasons most will not drive a big engined car and most love a company car, where they pay a bit more income tax for a free car.

I looking into buying a 595 Pista. Why? Because the Comp is too expensive for me atm when bought new. I could, but probably never will buy these cars used. Turbos are a very sensible thing and you never know how the preowner of the car treated it... did he drive it cold/warm, did he let it rest at the start to lower the revs...these things are the reason for a broken down turbo...and when I save 7k by buying a used one...is it worth investing 5 or 6k to repair a broken turbo? idk....

Way I looked at it was that I would be losing money whatever way I looked at it. Just needed the way to lose the least. Financing worked out £100(ish) more expensive than leasing it (per month) and I would still be giving it back at the end. Financing would be great if I planned on buying the car at the end but I always get bored of cars after a couple of years anyway so it would be pointless spending more money on finance. Turns out I have the option to buy the car after the lease ends anyway if I changed my mind. Don't know why people hate leases so much and love finance when 99% of the time they give the car back at the end and a LOT of the time financing would be cheaper for them

Thanks Stef. There have been quite a number of good finance deals from dealers around. I got my Rivale with Beats and sunroof for £275 deposit and then £265 per month for 48 months. But, I reckon they'll want it back after 24-36 months as a great second hand proposition, where often dealers can make better money than selling new, plus they get you into a new car. Admittedly, this deal was for 5000 miles a year, but at 7p extra per mile over that my extra c.3000 miles a year more will cost about £210 per month, but that can be absorbed into whatever deal we do next. I don't know if I've done something daft, but it seems good to me? Sometimes it's about timing and what's available out there, particularly in a struggling industry.

    • @StefABtv

The car is around £20,000new but we bought it for £15,600. I think that pcp is good with 0% apr however if the apr is higher than a loan then just get a bank loan if you want to keep the car long term. Obviously price may vary with credit score.

With the finance through the dealer you can hand the car back and walk away once you have paid 50% of the total payable. With a loan, you have to pay the whole loan back, whether you still own the car or not.

The cars at 13500 seem to be dealer cars that you show now factor in there margin of 2k this would really mean your car in px would be 11k that means your not getting your 3k dipper back unless you can hold out for a private billy to buy the car without the need for finance of which are fewer and fewer these days.
