The F-84B-26 is a great teacher for jets so today I want to cover some basics as they are applicable to most of jet combat.

Thanks for clicking this one again
I think it's one of my better videos in terms of learning so I was pretty annoyed that the video killed itself like that.
Hope it does better this time despite the drawbacks.
If you could help me boost the algorithm with likes/comments that be a great band aid.
Thanks for your patience and see you all soon again.
Can you make a guide about the missiles? I think that would be a successful video.
^he's not wrong, ik a few people myself included who won't touch jets above 7.3 because of missiles.
Gotta start with jets themselves first but I will in the near future
@@DEFYN Thanks
Great teacher
"9 out of 10 times, the thing that gets you killed is a decision you made more than 5 minutes beforehand"
... you mean like clicking on "To Battle"?
launching the game
Bold of you to assume I last 5 minutes
for bombers it's the base they go for
@F4E Phantom II not anymore...
Joined a match where a teamkiller was present. He damaged my plane heavily, so I had to land. The time I lost landing and taking off again cost me the match because, by the time I managed to climb to a decent altitude, all the enemy team was either up high or on the deck, and my team had been decimated.
TL;DR fuck teamkillers
Very rarely do I comment but the fact that you reuploaded this for everyone who couldn’t watch it deserves a like and a comment
He got my thumb up
dude, the video in general does, defyn is rlly skilled
I saw it pop up on my suggestions. Went to watch it later, searched on his page for 5 minutes, even looked on other channels. Glad to know I wasn't imagining things 🤣
I can 100% tell you why that 262 went after AI.
He knew he was fucked and had the choice to try and kill two people on his 6 (likely not gonna happen) or to cut his losses and snack an AI plane, so he would not go out of the battle without anything to show.
I feel this. Some matches I can't even get close enough to the AI to get a kill, or even a ground unit. MM's a nightmare for most uptiers.
Yep me most battles
thank you so much for bothering to reupload this
Mhm thanks DEFYN.
I literally just got into jets. This is perfect timing.
Good luck
With Defyn video I managed to play and spade even the he162 of the German TT without any pain even if was my 1st jet!... Loving the mig15bis now
A few rules to live by regarding jets. Number 1 rule - speed/altitude is LIFE! Having one or both of those advantages let's u dictate the terms of the fight. Number 2 - keep your head on a fuking swivel, things happen much faster and can change in the blink of an eye. Number 3 - know your enemy, if u know what kind of pilot they are helps but knowing the capabilities of their aircraft is priceless. Number 4 - be weary of head to heads, most of the time they will probably end in you dying or being damaged without a kill. Number 5 - be careful of your airspeed when using flaps, they will rip easily unless under 300-450 kmh. Good luck to u and have fun!
@@guitarninjarick8179 good tips, I've already gotten to rank 7 USA and got the F5E, I think I actually prefer Korean and early jets over the higher ranks, less missiles and actually some dogfighting.
@@brandonchan4992 what jet do you prefer: F-80, F84B/G, F2H-2?
I remember the days when you had to turn around and go to the very beginning of the airstrip to even takeoff in F-84B due to abyssmal acceleration, this plane sure had come a long way - from the worst early jet to one of the best
Thanks for reminding me to reflect on the fact that I have piss-poor situational awareness sometimes, even after 4 years of playing. >:^)
Alot people have tunnel vision... you must get rid of it
@@AbdurrahmanZedSaeed True that. It's gotten a lot better.
@@crashbandicootnerd4321 if you focus on a target, dont zoom all time, just make sure you got awareness towards the surrounding.. i take that from ground RB, as air rb requires alot more skills so i kind of improvise it
I was so sad yesterday that I couldn't watch it.
I personally learned to play jets in the F3D, most people ignore it as it is in the attacker line, but it is a very enjoyable plane, especially if you know how to aim the 20mm cannons well, I allready have the Sabre and it is a great plane.
I was wondering wth happened, cuz i wanted to watch it yesterday. Thanks for the reupload, time to watch this while sipping some coffee 👍
liked and comment for the algorithm overlords
Thx for the reupload. Insane video, recomended for everybody !
Thanks, just bought the F-5C and I love it. Before I watched this video, I was playing jets like prop planes. Now, I came in first place in 10.3, and I'm proud of myself.
Really appreciate that you produce content like this. I hope that fresh jet pilots find this. I sure would have liked to have something like this when I got into jets.
The main point I've taken from your videos is not just how to manouver or plane vs. plane match ups. It's the thought process, how not to focus on just the one possible kill in front of you but what actions to take for the win.
Another solid one Defyn. Happy hunting o7
Defyn uploads, I watch.
Thanks for going through the effort of reuploading this. Hopefully it gets out there as you are hoping.
I'm researching the F-84B right now, so thanks for re-uploading this!
I am so happy you uploaded this video when you did, I just got a jet when you uploaded it so it’s been a huge help for me and a massive boost for my learning, keep up the great work man
Just want to say I'm happy to get a chance to see a good pilot and to get to hear the thought process explained. Your videos have helped me get better, notably because I'm trying to be more deliberate in my actions. It seems like all of your moves (at least most) have some sort of good reason. I can only imagine the many experiences that have built your piloting skill, but seeing what it's become is a great watch. Thank you and please continue.
Since i watched your videos, i really enjoy air RB now, and i have improved a lot of my skill in combat ( especially German Mig-15bis and Mig-19S ). I really appreciate your channel. Definitely need more subs
I love these types of videos, generic flying tips are so helpful to become a better Pilot
Thanks so much for reuploding this, dude. I had saved this for when i unlocked jets and im finding it VERY helpful
Another great video. I really like these types of informative video. I have just reached US jets and will start researching the F84, so great timing.
We appreciate you sticking with it, DEFYN. Early jet tutorials for the various nation trees are like 'keys to the castle' for any newer players just hitting these tiers for the firs time. Great content.
Even though I've flown most of the UK jets this video really helped me still, managed to get my own 6 kill in the F-84B by using my energy properly, definitely could not have done that without lessons I learned from this. Great video and really helpful for those still learning jets that fly like the F-84.
I just got my first jet a couple weeks ago and have been low key suffering. I looked on youtube for jet tutorial videos and most of them are just really basic stuff I already knew about. And most of your jet videos are covering a specific plane and not the general gameplay so thank you for that.
I really appreciate this kind of content the fact that you explain what your doing and why makes all the difference
You are currently my favorite air RB RUclipsr! As a newbie your videos really help me to improve, more than most others. Keep them coming!
Many of my deaths result from the misreading the energy states of enemies and not knowing the advantages of my plane in each match-up. I guess that the best I can do is trial and error, and the next best watching better players.
One of the best vids for learning how to fly jets in my opinion. just grinded my way to tier 5 and I'm happy to have a bit of help and not get always recked by a F-84 (I'm playing the Ho 229)
Just bought my first jet (the American F-80A-5) thanks to you teaching me how to carry in the P-38L-5-LO!! Excited to use this video to learn jets.
Love the content man and thank you for being there woth great guides. Youve helped me immensely.
I’ve been needing some help with jets, currently trying to spade the La-200. It’s a pain but videos like this make it easier! Thanks DEFYN!
I watched the original upload but thanks very much. After initially getting clapped most of the time or only getting one kill in Air RB because I am just too used to to “real” flying in DCS in VR (with obviously way less opponents planes to “learn”) I am slowly getting better because of your videos and the way I think and play because of them. There is still a long way to go to get the 7 kill Defyn carry but once in a blue moon I I can say we won a game because of the decisions I made. That’s progress I guess. Trying 7.0/7.3 jets at the moment (Meteor) and it’s really brutal sometimes but again I think this video helps and I will probably watch it again multiple times as I progress. If you are still reading this: Good work and keep doing what you are doing !
You came in War Thunder from DCS ? What happened ? 😅
Hallo Defyn, thx for this video. Just trying to learn a bit how handling Jets. Its new for me as I am used to props. And in your videos there is always something to learn. Thx for your time you take for making this videos...
Appreciate the commentary, just getting into RB and this is very useful!
I've learned so much from your videos, thanks for breaking down your tactics. Much appreciated!
Glad to hear it!
I fought against you a week ago or so, you used the XP-50 and I, the Yak-3U (RV2_nostalgia), despite the fact of my mid altitude advantages beat me fair and square. What I'm trying to say is that you share all your "trump cards" with your spectators and teach a lot about ARB for us to use them, madprops to you sir and thank's for the effort you put into this videos.
Just finishing research on F-84, it's going to be my first jet, so that's great timing with this video, thanks!
Thanks for putting together this video! Air RB is a better place thanks to your help.
I watch your videos like a prize fighter studies films. Thank you so much for all of your videos and all of your lessons. Cheers
Man good shit! As always, we appreciate what you do.
This is a good guide to get ready for jets I'm researching the first 262 now and trying to spade the K-4...somewhat fun times
"Not one way to dodge headons." Probably true. In my experience a roll with a little rudder does the trick.
It’s so easy honestly, even a little downwards pitch and rudder
Nice video. I like your content, your videos really helped me become a pilot in terms of energy control
Great guide; have been playing my first jet; the F-80A-5 lately, and I've been getting myself in fairly unfavourable situations. This should help.
what a class act you are drfyn i just unlocked this jet and these vids are amazing help to me thank you
Commenting for the algorithm, your videos deserve it (especially this one)
Since I'm about to unlock my first jet, and the f-84B is the one i'm going to get first, this video was very nice to see. Its also nice that this one has an airspawn now because that will make it more viable than it was a couple months ago.
got a new eye to look at jets from this video
o7 good job defyn keep ip the good work
Thank you! Great guide!! I was dying none stop, watched this, applied what I learned, and had 3 kills and 2 assists the next game I played. I’m basically stock to
This was exceptional. You do such a wonderful job slowing things down to help understand what is actually happening.
thx for reuploading, worth watch watching it again😎
Thank you for reuploading it❤️👍
LoL, poor Dreamtree guy, he didn't deserved that
I have never been gunned down on takeoff so hard before.
@@dreamtree1510 yeah, it kinda sucks when someone on your team tries to kill you...
Couldn’t be me
Always a pleasure to see you fly. And a valuable lesson.
Amazing videos. Keep the good work up!
Good video. I continue to return to this video because I’m just getting jets in America and am very excited!
Holy fuck this was an informative video. Probably one of my favourite videos of yours alongside "Permanent Disadvantages".
Thank you so much dude, this helped me use my first jet.
I'm out of the loop on why it had to be re-uploaded, but it was a very useful video watching it the first time. Especially appreciate the bits on trying to read your opponents.
Me too
Thanks, great videos and useful comments
I remember when I first started jets I really struggled with this plane compared to the f80, thanks for this
i know am i little late but still going to comment for algorithm jesus and its always nice to watch these videos i.e target prioritization defensive flying and this one. i probably wont reach jets till a couple of months for now but its always nice to learn new principles of flying in advance
Thanks for reuploading!
great guide helped me a lot i was listening it when i was playing my f 84 i will make sure to watch more and sub
262 killing ai. He accepted he wasn't going to win a dogfight and decided to get as many ai points as possible before getting killed.
He may have also had a task that required killing ground units.
Thanks for the work and the tips.
thanks for the reupload now i can finally watch it
Great video! My main takeaway is to be confident in your plane and play the long game
oh my it is a new video. I'd better comment on this video I've never seen before, for no particular reason
(other than to say, hey, thanks for this vid: more examples of stuff that covers the fundamentals in a variety of scenarios tends to be very helpful for my mental game)
I went from being first death every game to at least getting two kills first, this was a huge help thx
Alright, I didn't hit the jet era yet but I think this video will be useful in the future! Thanks man! May god bless you.
yeeeeee finally a good jet tutorial for people who just got their first one and have no idea what to do ! thank you for that !!
I learn a lot by watching your videos.
Really enjoyed the video thanks.
Good vid man thanks for all the help
hey defyn dont know if youll even read this a year later but i thought this was a really educational video and i defynetly learnt a lot from it. cheers!
I only have the f80 and f3d1 so far so I need this. Thank you ✌
Im about to approach the jet tier on my new account so thank goodness I got to this video as I'm binge watching 😊
Thanks for taking the time for this one you tube is about as stable as WT sometimes
DEFYN's tips have helped me make money! Relieves the stress of going into combat when you can afford to die.
Defyn your an awesome teacher for planes
Nice video, thx for the reupload
Great video this. Clearly a skilled player who plays the game the way it should be played
Came back to watch again, it was worth just for this part 18:18
Your good at the game try to help other people and also you sound like a good person I am lucky to find this Chanel
First i would like to apologize, i'm not as fluent in english as i would like to be.
Second, i just want to greatly thank you. I'm sort of new to the game, and well totally noob so despite i'm a huge aviation fan :)
As i hitted jets on US tech tree few weeks ago, i really appreciate this guide, and well... all of 'em actually.
Got baited on your channel by your "don't pre-order premium planes" video as the F5C was kind of appealing to me.
And here goes for some likes, a huge thx, a comment for the holy hand gre... algorythm and a new sub !
Gonna be honest, I did not know the guns had different speeds and I have been playing for a few years lol. If I had really thought about it, it would have made so much sense. Nice to know now though!
Hey Defyn would love to see a video on the old king of jets, the sea jesus. Great vid btw
Very good instrulual video👍✈️
Hey Defyn, was the guy in the F84-G in your 6 kill game thanks for the carry back then.
Thanks for the reupload! I’ve recently got the f84b and had some fun with it and the airspawn, but then grounded straight for the Sabre f-25 (because I didn’t want to waste money on crewing the a-5) and am struggling with aiming at these high speed passes, what to do in general and my team getting wiped out every game :(
Really hope this reaches more people
Excelente piloto, que bueno sería tener alguien con tal experiencia y que hablara español
Perfect timing, researched the f 84 today
Lmao I just got 2x 2000 lbs bombs on f84f today... it was EXTREMELY painful. Not only does the plane not turn or accelerate, it has horrible survivability, as well as being an end of line vehicle. The modification costs are tremendous, to say the least. 2000lbs bombs are fun in ground RB, at least.
Man, seeing you play not only makes me want to play too, but also makes me want to have a fight with you. I love to fight stronger players to test my skills
Perfect video for new jet flyers. A lot of people play but don’t narrate enough. This is superb both on fundamentals and specifics on the jet.
I just got my first jet today this one and this is a great help.
Edit: 2 mouths latter I notice that I am either really dumb, everyone gotten better or everyone just got better at being a team.
You should just do F-84B videos every week until they break is BR again. I just love that thing
