An unnecessary conflict that the US/NATO created with the coup d'état in Ukraine in 2014. See the Rand corporation report from 2019 on Ukraine and Nordstream, it largely explains why and how the US would profit enormously from the Ukraine conflict.
Zelensky seems desperate at the moment when the Kursk offensive with NATO troops has stalled and is losing large amounts of soldiers and materiel. This is what the BBC says. Over 8,000 were lost in a hopeless situation where logistics are getting more and more difficult every day with Russian drones everywhere. In addition, the disaster in Porkovsk which could fall within a week or so and thus there are no lines of defense left until the Dnieper river.

Kursk was a genius move by Ukraine.
I mean it’ll cost Ukraine the Donbas but it made news!
LOL. Right? Everyone's rah-rahing this completely inept "invasion" of a tiny sliver of a huge Russian oblast. Meanwhile, support for the war in Russia INCREASES from the previous month. Who would've thought that Russians, too, rally around the flag when invaded. But don't look at Chasiv Yar or Prokovsk, where Russia is now running the tables against Ukraine? No, keep cheerleading Ukraine who are...not doing all that much in Kursk?? Bait and Switch.
We'll see - Russia have still not taken Pokrovsk, nor all of any of the Donbass oblasts 2.5 years in.
At their current rate of advance: it would take more than a decade.
Meanwhile Ukraine now has 1300km2 of Kursk.
@@TheMagicLemur unfortunately over the last 90 days Russia has captured a lot of Eastern Ukrainian territory. Seemingly this is war of attrition…2.5 years of slow gains followed by large, fast gains.
Nobody can argue Ukraine hasn’t fought like hell. Personally I do not want to see Ukraine cut down the Dnipro but on balance that is the likely outcome.
Losing Pokrovsk is going to be yet another other blow for Ukraine.
The only other thing I can tell anyone reading this is to seek information from multiple sources, not just Western pro-Ukrainian sources. I chose to read and listen to multiple sources. Also know causality numbers on both sides are fiction. They’re a lot higher than both sides are stating publicly.
Ukraine is so strong they have been coming closer and closer to kiev every day!😂😂

Those EU EV's aren't going to go anywhere without Donbass/Novorossiya sourced lithium and Russia isn't going to be exchanging it away for useless (to them) dollars or euros.
That's insightful
But are there other sources of lithium and chromium and all that stuff?
@@Interglacial_optimist True, but the EU had hoped to freely print ECB euro's for what would be effectively to them, free Ukrainian resources. In my view all this European 'green' agenda that has been built up over past decade, appears to based upon assumptive plans for the plunder of Ukraine and the defeat of Russia... Not going to happen.

"Russia hits Kyiv with barrage of missiles as schools reopen"
I'm pissed.
Not especially because Russia did this. That's already a given.
But that I had to read this type of headline.
WHAT did the schools opening have to do with Russia's continued war/special operations expansion?
Did they target schools in particular?
No?
Then sod off.
This type of emotional manipulation just pisses me off because it drowns out any nuance this war might have...like Ukraine targeting Kursk border towns as schools reopen.
See what I did there?
That right there is probably the headline in Russian shlock newspapers.

Poland is in the right.
It must protect its own borders.
Poland knows better than Germany that the Russians can not be trusted, and also they are a really bad country to be ruled by, they have known this first hand since 1939!
I an actually shocked that Germany is not even more against rule by Russia again. The East Germans Must Know that being ruled by Russia is a terrible thing. And they MUST know that having Russia be allowed to rule over Ukraine is going to be worse than killing everyone in Ukraine.
East Germany should be grateful to now be ruled by the re-united Germany. Living under Russian control was very repressive. Hard work, and barely paid for it. As they used to say "we pretended to work, and they pretended to pay us". The living standards in East Germany have been so much improved since 1990 to today. That is not that long ago, only 34 years ago, East Germany was a very depressing place to live in.

At this point, force reconstitution is of great importance, and the numbers aren’t close.
The situation in Pokrovsk area (Pokrovsk is a key logistical hub) is downright catastrophic for Ukraine. I think it started to dawn upon Zelenskyy DC handlers that to prop up Ukraine until November was a pipe dream. The situation was further exacerbated by Zelenskyy Kursk misadventure. Ukrainians are stuck after capturing a string of villages in the middle of nowhere at a staggering snowballing cost and this string of villages can't be held anyway due to horrible logistic. This operation proved to be an unmitigated disaster for Ukraine from the military standpoint.
Not as catastrophic as Kursk is for Putin. 🙈🙉🙊

On the night of 2 September 2024, Russian military intelligence discovered camouflaged firing positions of US-made HIMARS MLRS in the Sumy region of Ukraine, bordering Russia. The positions were located 20 kilometres south-east of the city of Sumy, near the settlements of Osoyevka and Glybnoye.
After confirming the characteristics of the target, the Russian command decided to launch precision-guided missile strikes against the positions of the AFU multiple rocket launchers.
As a result of the missile strike, the following were destroyed
- three HIMARS MLRS launchers;
- three escort vehicles;
- one transport and loading vehicle;
- more than 30 AFU servicemen.
Objective control data confirmed the destruction of the targets.

Russia’s manufacturing sector may grow by 6.8% by the end of this year, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov told reporters at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
"We said earlier that the growth of manufacturing industry might exceed 5% this year. Now, considering the current dynamics and the Economic Development Ministry’s updated forecasts, we expect manufacturing output to grow by around 6.8%," he said.
The Eastern Economic Forum is being held on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok on September 3-6, 2024. The main theme of the EEF this year is ‘Far East 2030. Combining strengths to create new potential’. The business activities are broken down into seven thematic blocks: ‘New contours of international cooperation’, ‘Technologies to ensure independence’, ‘Financial value system’, ‘the Russian Far East’, ‘People, education and patriotism’, ‘Transport and logistics: new routes’, and ‘Master plans: from architecture to economy’.
The Roscongress Foundation is organizing the EEF. TASS is the general information partner of the forum.

Both sides are fully lying about their casualty numbers.
The West did the same during WWI & WWII. They’re nearly always multiple times higher than anyone will admit.
Russia have overwhelming firepower so its logical to assume that they are having a favorable casualty exchange ration vs ukraine.Russia is still getting the majority of its manpower from volunteers while ukraine is on a mass conscription now.
The reason why ukraine is retreating is because they can no longer the large losses that comes from getting bombarded every day.They are drained of manpower and equipment.
