@@EmberGore Attempting to intimidate people so they let you alone is cowardice and bullying behavior. There is always someone bigger, stronger who might actually be dangerous and who might actually throw down the gauntlet and beat you to a pulp. There was this group in the late 90s who used to go to amusement parks, festivals and the beach boardwalk dressed like vampires. They leader (I called Count Chocula) was a lanky unattractive puny pasty faced dude had some sort of device that allowed him to suddenly and quietly glide and his long cape would preternaturally swell out around him like a half opened umbrella and sort of flutter at the bottom. I was out with my daughters and his little entourage suddenly cross our path. The other would be vampires spread out surrounding us showing teeth hissing, smiling menacingly and he did his hover trick towards us which really frightened both my daughters one 6 and the other almost 2. I was angry. The little chicken shiets would have never done that with my husband with us. Being scary isn't okay.
The Gimbo-to-Bimbo transformation was fun! The Gimbo girl's personality - her disposition, confidence and openness - added flavour and excitement to both her original look and her transformation. It'll be fun to see her explore different characters/personas!
Except the foundation they put on her was so pale and made her look dead. They didn't put any color in her face, she had more color in her face before. That was the only thing that looked really strange.
For me it was that as well as the clothing that was picked didn't flatter their bodies as well as they could have. Like I know there was better choices but these weren't it, I love their own styles though they are all so pretty.
same for the clothing...color is one thing, but the styles, fabrics, lack of ironing, were all just hideous and insulting. they "truly" needed clothes that flattered their bodies to show how they looked with another possible overall look
The “gimbo” seemed so sweet and positive idk why they gave her such a horrible outfit, it wasn’t a make-under at all. If they gave her something cuter I think her reaction could have been more interesting and thoughtful.
Yeah I agree. Also most people at least that I've ever seen other then the movie legally blonde lol, do not wear all pink like that, at least not anymore. That is more like a late 2000'- 2010's thing I think..? These episodes look fairly recent though. Either way all pink that just isn't flattering for most
Same, that wasnt really a good bimbo look at all sometimes i think that they would like the looks more if they were a little bit more special or without the colors etc they hate - like something completely different from what they wear or like opposite version , something out of their interest but at the same time not something they know they would hate bc usually when they open the packages it’s all the colors they said they don’t like? Cmon we don’t have to wear only pink blue or yellow
Exactly i totally agree.... Why the hell will you give someone and Entirely fuschia wardrobe its insane. And the last girl too she looked unflattering with that older mom suit idk what that was but it didn't suit her body they should've went for a look like the second one more of her age
At the contrary, these girls bully others who chose to wear pink or more conventional clothes. The reason is they want to get attention. Very insecure people.
@@2010Tigresa It happens both ways round. But when I was growing up the alternatives got picked on far more, they were singled out and mocked for simply liking different aesthetics and ways… makes sense they would lash back! But that never seemed to have as much of an impact because they were outnumbered…
fascinating to see the confidence level plummet with each as they saw their "new selves (Old selves?)" . their postures, their heads bowed, the inability to look people in the eye. it was just a costume and yet it affected their demeanors so much.
Honestly, with all of these makeovers I truly loved the “befores” so much more! These goth girls all really seem like they have serious skill with makeup and knowledge of their own faces and styles and themselves to really create a look that works best for them! No offence to the makeup artist and fashion stylists that worked on these projects but I thought the “afters” cheapened them and/or made them look boring. Im glad they will continue to stay true to themselves. I love when people are doing their own thing and I really think that these girls are true artists using themselves as their own canvasses to create living/ breathing art.
the stylists here did a terrible job im ngl. but nonetheless, i just wanna say that the girl who refers to herself as a gimbo is honestly so beautiful in her normal attire. she rocks the makeup, the no brow and the hair so well ahhhh
Totally agree with you. They all look amazing how they already are. And Tommy is absolutely stunning! Her Gimbo look is definitely her, and really suits her. And the clothes she wears are beautiful!
I think the first young woman could really rock a mix of the two and create her own style. There's also nothing wrong with trying different looks whenever you feel like it. I used to switch up my looks until I found "athletic-lazy".
Haha! I think so many of us are here too! I actually make a point of not wearing athletic stuff now bc it started to feel like a rut. I think post pandemic is also fueling more natural makeup too.
Hahaha that's me. I literally said to my partner while watching this "I wish my style was more alternative coz I love how it looks... but I'm just too lazy". I'll still occasionally do more with my makeup to go out... but on the day-to-day... no makeup, shorts & a t-shirt. I work out too much to keep up with all the makeup and accessories haha.
I think it's healthy to be open minded to different styles and aesthetic in clothes. But what's more healthier is being open about about being yourself, personality or style. If they're happy being goth or gumbo, let them be :)
The fact that everyone in this comment section keeps going on about how *naturally* beautiful the Gimbo girl is WHY the goth style works so much for these girls. Everyone looks good in goth when well executed, but not everyone looks good in minimal attire. This is why I love when people take time to find out their preferred aesthetic, whether it's cottage-core, office-casual, ghetto-fab etc. Everyone has one aesthetic that makes them look a million bucks to the outside world, and most importantly themselves.
What i hate most about these transformations is these people's friends. They're not true friends in my opinion if they can't just say "wow you look different" if they say it looks "hideous" or "ridiculous" I feel they're being rude and so judgmental, because what if deep down their friend actually does like it and they just sound mean. It's understanding to be shocked, and surprised but don't say something to the effect of "you look gross," "you look ridiculous" or "you look terrifying"
Well they also know their friend best and what they would like to hear lol so there's that..but I agree even though I don't think they mean it meanly. I mean they are friends lol friends are honest!
While it's quite cool that these girls were willing to do this little experiment, I think they look fantastic just how they are. I follow several of them on social media and they always look stunning, in my opinion. If they are more comfortable in their goth looks, then that's great for them, let them live.
"I feel good when I look rotten, cause I feel rotten" This is actually pretty sad. I wish everyone in the world could live like she/ he feels like and could wear anything without getting bullied
I'd be interested to know how many of these women were sexually molested when they were children. Feeling like garbage is a paradigm created from abuse.
@@misakirin7376 I agree, really it's so horrible & unthinkable... hard to wrap ones mind around that type of evil. And the lifelong trauma it causes an innocent person... it is hard to imagine.
@@manda-pandas someone who has gone through this, I just love the style. It really has nothing to do with my past trauma. I just feel like myself when I wear darker things. I understand what you where trying to say though and some poeple might be like that.
All these women look incredible without their traditional makeup. That’s why you can’t judge a book by its cover, as they all seem like beautiful inside and out.
What I loved about this was that each one ended up appreciating their normal look even more, and I have to add that they all look SO GOOD as their dark goth selves.
To say that the transformation did not quite work would be an understatement. All of the wigs looked fake and awful. The outfits they picked out for each woman were pretty ridiculous. They did, however, do a decent job with the make-up.
I was thinking the same thing! It feels so in-authentic(?), like they're trying to imitate what a "girly girl" looks like by looking at Barbie dolls for reference! Or on the other hand, it's just the most basic outfit with a terrible wig😭
Thats always the case. I think they go out of their way to choose the most opposite and most hated things the subject would wear. It has to be intentional, because it just can not be an abysmal failure every single time. Just by chance alone they would stumble into a nice ensemble and look.
No matter if you are into it or not, you have to be impressed by the time, effort, and uniqueness of the goth/whatever style they rock normally. Also, all of the makeup artists did an amazing job! I think all of them would've been happier with an in-between look, but the extreme is fun.
I love their personalities so much. What I find amazing after watching this video is how they are true to themselves and at the same time I can see how tolerant they would be to anyone else having a totally different look. Makes me want to continue and make my style evolve to stay even truer to myself and continue wearing my glitters and flashy colors even if it's their opposite...!
All these girls are beautiful in both looks. It's fun trying different styles. I always wanted to lean towards an edgier style but always felt It wouldn't suit me. I love bright colors but also like darker colors. I like a lot of different things. My tastes are all over the place. So it's fun to see people transform. Do they only transform goths? It would be nice to see other types transform as well.
I’d love to go from “normie” to goth but not as goth as these gals. But i really love black and green and converses and black band tees, I just don’t have the budget to transform.
@@guesswhat-chickenbutt there’s a girl I forgot what she’s called she was a Kidcore rainbow style and they transformed her to kind of goth or punk ! You should check that out if you want
I think it’s great that they were willing to explore something completely opposite of what they’re used to… Just for the experience and just for fun… But at the same time they all look so fantastic and perfect Before the transformation. The effort that they put into their own unique look on a regular basis is just phenomenal .
The second girl's daily makeup look is so good??? Hadn't seen anything like it before. Love the wispy feathered effect she achieves & how stunning the white eyelashes look surrounded by black.
Would their friends think of them as looking ridiculous and ugly if they ever decide to change completely? Think about your "friends" that thought you were ugly and looked hideous if you ever decide to change to a conservative look. What would they say then?
I don’t think the reactions of “ridiculous” or “ugly” or “oh god terrifying” are based on solely how they see the whole look but more a reflection of how people who dress more conservatively usually act around or treat people who don’t. It’s probably an instinctual or learned thing because those who go against what is typically accepted are usually outcast or ridiculed. Seeing your friend or family member who has developed their own personal way or reflection of an alternative style based on their taste and personality being stripped of all of that to reflect something generic like preppy or more conservative would cause feeling of “this is not you, this reminds me of those who would harass or judge us”. Because it’s so common within those circles to reject anything alt in fear of being treated the same. Probably one of the reasons all of these after transformations end up looking so alike and there’s no “glam to goth” version of this is because conservative styles are easy to generate and often same or predictable, very easy to put together (as evidenced by the fast fashion and cheap wigs/natural but heavily controlled makeup). There’s little to no creativity or personal touch and a lot of restrictions to conservative dress. Whereas the gothy, black metal, deathcore looks are developed over months/years of getting to know what you like and how you want to express that and indulging in the “weirdness” of it all to make something that is totally in line with your comfort while also being unlike much else you see in day to day. In short(er), alternative people aren’t as likely to go totally “clean”-slate conservative over their dress sense as it’s often, if not always a reflection of their values, beliefs, personality and interactions with others and developed taste over time. Their friends’ shock over their makeovers are usually just dismay at not being able to see themselves relating to or having much in common with a person with that look or style anymore. Kind of like washing away all their quirks or perceived imperfections in favour of a “safe” or easily digestible look.
personally I've got the feeling that both girl's boyfriends appreciated their new looks. They wouldn't say it out loud to not disappoint their girlfriends but judging from their reaction they did.
@@Abbie_Loves_JohnSo normies saying i hate your f-ing goth style, disgusting, an attention seeker bla bla bla is okay but it's not okay the other way around huh?
These styles are all so beautiful in their own ways, the most important is that you wear the one that makes you the most comfortable and proud of yourself.
These women look so beautiful without any makeup! I’m talking before adding “Barbie makeup”… their natural faces were honestly what I enjoyed most. I can’t bridge the gap as to why so much black and death and darkness brings them comfort but I suppose I feel the same confusion as to why some go over the top pink and sparkle lol
I think they looked beautiful both styles but I wouldn't force them to change there looks it's who they are ...I do love the goth looks the most honestly 🖤🖤
@@sopyleecrypt6899 I'm a goth woman, and you really don't need to do a ton of work. I just wear dark eye shadow, my blush, and lipstick if I'm in the mood. My mom said I don't necessarily need foundation. Then just have a nice or decent choice of outfit/s, and you're good to go.
Actually they all look good in both styles, but i definitely like them more in their own style because they look so much more comfortable.. anyway they are all such nice girls! Really nice people, i'm sure it's lovely to have them around!
I love how this is like all styles supporting each other we need more people like this I hate when people act like you can only have one style and you have to bash other people who have a different one then you I think that everyone can be beautiful in whatever they want to wear and you shouldn’t put anyone down for being different
You really see their personalities shine when they are in their own fashion. When they try these others styles, its nice to see them being respectful and goofing around but you truly see their demeanor change and they become instantly uncomfortable. I'm happy to see them enjoying their lives in their unique styles/ways!
I'm a huge fan of goth looks, and a cosplayer (who enjoys dramatic looks) myself, but there's something so perfect and natural about seeing these ladies without their makeup on, even if just for mere moments.
@@boomstronkheks659 Of course, it's a bit of a mask in a sense and having that taken away can be shocking because it represents the known and is being handed off for the unknown. I cosplay often for conventions and there's a certain sense of courage that comes with owning an extreme look. When that's taken away and people see through to who you are underneath that can be scary.
I actually really like the first goth girls look. She has style and looks very artistic. She has a lot more thought into her look than the high school goth group I knew.
…is no one going to mention THE DOLL the Gimbo/Bimbo gal had!?! (She is super hot, btw in both aesthetics) Literally all of these women are GLORIOUS & GORGEOUS! I wish I looked like any of them in any of the aesthetics. I feel like they could all be great friends and take on the world together. I also think it is super cool how each could have such varied and unique looks/styles while still having basically black wardrobes with pale skin and bold/black eyes
As an alternative/goth girl myself, I’d love to see an episode of this in reverse. Glam/normie girl to goth, maybe trying out the looks from a few different sub genres of goth or alternative. As a mother of 3, my time to style myself is limited day to day, so I dress down usually these-days, casual black clothing and very basic gothic makeup. However, once or twice a year we get a babysitter, meaning i can take lots of time to look and feel perfect, hand in hand with my goth/alternative/rockabilly husband (depending on his mood he has many tastes) and we paint the town black! Would love to see a flip version episode of this, awesome video thanks for posting.
Some of these transformations are the incorrect way to introduce these people that have lived a certain way for a long time. Going from a dark makeup dark clothing to a pink and blonde is a HUGE NO NO. Pink and blonde doesnt define GLAM. Introducing them to a classier conservative look without all that pink and blonde wigs that makes them look just like they see themselves after the reveal......ridiculous, because its true. A more conservative introduction would have been more appropriate so that they can experience a more confident look. Going from dark to pink is like going from a 24-inch-long hair to being completely bold it just doesnt fit. Thats my opinion. A more conservative look would probably make them think differently and get a more positive reaction. To be honest I wouldn't wear all that pink like that not even to go to a nightclub that has no lights.
idk about going “conservative” but definitely a less extreme transformation. Maybe like a darker style that still passes as somewhat “normal” or fashion forward. Less black metal and more Ann Demuelemeester or something
The first one- She is so beautiful and one of those looks about her could transform into anything!! I'd love to see her on again and next time with brown hair and a hippy style! Also her makeup skills are out of control!! The second one- I also think they could do many different looks and would love to see them with all different looks. She looks best whwh she is smiling, such a beautiful smile! The third one- wow she is stunning as a goth..they all are but she pulls it off so well and reminds me of somebody..an actress who's nanebi forget. I also think they did her dirty with her outfit lol it was ba LOT! But her face..makeup transformation..WOW! She is beautiful no matter what look she does! She is gorgeous but the outfit they gave her was.. just comical/mean lol! They chose the wrong outfit completely. The forth girl- wow, another gorgeous goth! I really like her goth style because it's goth/punk alternative and her hair looks great on her! I enjoy her section of clothing and shoes and accessories the most and can't wait to see her behoemian look!! So after: I am convinced they need to hire me as a stylist because I could have chosen a much better bohemian look! The looks they are choosigg don't even seem up to date! But again this girl isnatubbibg and looks so beautiful in her after! I dislike how they did her makeup and hair for after the most though they chose..the wrong colors in my opinion.
Exactly i totally agree.... Why the hell will you give someone and Entirely fuschia wardrobe its insane. And the last girl too she looked unflattering with that older mom suit idk what that was but it didn't suit her body they should've went for a look like the second one more of her age
I have loved goth all my life. I grew up in the 80's so... is it weird that this show has made my 1st new year's resolution to finally start dressing more goth and embrace what I have always wanted to do?!
I loooove goth styles, I’m not goth myself but I think it takes so much skill and love of the style to create amazing looks! It’s easier to make visually interesting outfits when you’ve got lots of color, it takes a styling eye to create cool monochrome looks!
The way she speaks, I can recognize it from goth girls that were my friends back in early 2000s ("I like to look different because..."). They also used to visit cemeteries and were fascinated with blood and stuff. There is nothing wrong with it, although she is very likely to change or least tone down sometime later.
@@seviregis7441 my friend for example used to simply cut a finger or smith and then put it into tiny flask that she used to carry around her neck. I always found it super weird but I didn't mind, as nobody was really hurt.
It is a phase. Trust me. She will definitely tone it down. I used to dye my hair black and blue and only wear black, fishnets, combat boots, piercings all over my face. I was there lol. Look at me now 😅
These women are actually so beautiful behind the dark makeup. I don't think they should all dress in pink and things that they don't like all the time, but I definitely prefer the more natural makeup.
It's good to see so many people in the Alternative scene having an open mind and show a willingness to try something new, even if it's for a short time
I want to be a stylist for things like this - it seems like they put so little effort, thought and care into the pieces they pick out for these individuals’ transformations. They could definitely girl-ify these women in a way that flatters them instead of just seemingly picking out anything randomly with no cohesiveness as long as it is pink. Same goes for the wigs, it’s like they just added a generic blonde wig to cart.
Truthfully, I could’ve styled, done their make up so much better (i’m a hairdresser/make up artist with an excellent sense of style if I do say so myself😂) When I see them I envision some thing much different and I agree with the friends,The makeovers they were given do not do them justice whatsoever
yes, it really does feel odd when you suddenly change your style. i'm actually amazed and happy that they are confident to wear their style and not be fazed by people judging them. i wish i could confidently wear the styles i want someday, i'm still afraid of people somehow XD
The interesting thing is each model was able to rock both styles . . . what a gift !!! I would also be remiss if I didn't mention the amazing talent of the makeup artists who did the transformations !!
The first girl: Honestly ? Her original goth style makes want to go talk to her much more than barbie style, they made her look like a bish 😂 My love please dont change, you rock 🤘🖤
16:05 She looks a lot younger as a blonde! The dark hair and lack of eyebrows made her look a lot older. I did not realize she was so young, until she took off all that dark make up off.
When i was younger, i had an Emo phase but now it's started to fade back to normal style, now i've found the vintage / dark academy style for myself. I've always told my parents and brothers in a very shy tone that being emo is "less extreme" to goth and punk. My family, especially my dad and brothers cannot stand people that dress different and especially people who hide their identity with a big amount of makeup to look like a rockstar from KISS. I never say bad things about alternative people though sometimes a big amount of makeup confuses me. From this video i can totally say that at some point i do agree with my family. There's a lot of hidden beauty behind and makeup is kind of like a mask to hide it, that satisfies the ones wearing it. The girl with the Barbie makeup looked very beautiful in my opinion. The facial bodypart that usually fascinates me the most is eyes, and hers were very stunning
yes, I wonder after watching a dozen of these makeovers what happened to these women to hide how technically beautiful they are with their real and natural face? Most of these women are knockouts and super nice people. They often seem to have black magic satanic paraphernalia around which is sad. I wonder if demons are harboring in these women? Of course a demon wants the living soul to appear dead and a zombie cannibal ; demons may be convincing these people that to look like a zombie is the epitome of their beauty? I pray they find a relationship with Lord Jesus Christ which heals the heart and soul.
You are absolutely correct when you said cheap makeovers. I thought the same thing too. Just because its pink and blonde doesnt mean its glam. I have no idea what these "make up" artist were thinking. Changing from dark to pink its a huge no no. It is not conservative at all. Makes them look ridiculous.
Jesus Christ protect my dog's Kara, meow meow, David and babalu sa mga strangers and to the neighbors outside the house yes amen yes amen iwtbhpjc,😂😂🥰💖😂💖😛❤️😋🤍
I used to do the goth look but also enjoyed glamming it up. Being a makeup artist means I can be any character I want including a monster if I feel like it. It's Halloween year round. There's nothing wrong with wanting to look different whether that means creepy or pretty.
I really wish I was like them, not necessarily living this gothic style, but to be so confident and not caring how others perceive me, it must be so fun to be friends with them
Their radiance really shines through after their transformations. If only they allowed positive energy into their heart. I know they have something disturbing they have to burden but if they seek help they can live in the light instead of darkness.
Love it love it love it, they were so cute when they wanted to say how they sincerely didn’t like the look, but also tried hard to avoid the negative comments towards the makeup artist, it’s so adorable ❤

Yeah, but wigs cost a lot of money and they make a lot of these videos. They could change the clothing though, the clothing is usually horrific.
Those rhinestone eyes look so tacky, as well. I hate rhinestones.
same for the clothing...color is one thing, but the styles, fabrics, lack of ironing, were all just hideous and insulting. they "truly" needed clothes that flattered their bodies to show how they looked with another possible overall look
Either way all pink that just isn't flattering for most
Agreed, awful outfit but she's beautiful!!
She's stunning i'm in love
One of the most interesting quotes is “you look like someone who would bully me” …the psychology behind fashion!
I heard that... it's hiding not facing it and moving on. It's quite 😔
At the contrary, these girls bully others who chose to wear pink or more conventional clothes. The reason is they want to get attention. Very insecure people.
@mila2394 You're right! It's time to start to use our brains. At least sometime.
only now u know?
cuz it's true the most of the time. at least on tv it's proven to be a fact taken from the real life.
@@2010Tigresa It happens both ways round. But when I was growing up the alternatives got picked on far more, they were singled out and mocked for simply liking different aesthetics and ways… makes sense they would lash back! But that never seemed to have as much of an impact because they were outnumbered…
fascinating to see the confidence level plummet with each as they saw their "new selves (Old selves?)" . their postures, their heads bowed, the inability to look people in the eye. it was just a costume and yet it affected their demeanors so much.
it has the opposite effect when people put on a uniform , I.E. police, SS, traffic wardens etc
Well said
Your a bot!
Ummm ..sure
the stylists here did a terrible job im ngl. but nonetheless, i just wanna say that the girl who refers to herself as a gimbo is honestly so beautiful in her normal attire. she rocks the makeup, the no brow and the hair so well ahhhh
Which one is it?
The last one rubbed me the wrong way. It was unrelated to her artistry, I just thought she was a bit out of line while giving her opinion.

I think the first young woman could really rock a mix of the two and create her own style. There's also nothing wrong with trying different looks whenever you feel like it. I used to switch up my looks until I found "athletic-lazy".
Lol I used to switch it up until I found "athletic-lazy" haha same!
Yes! I could see her making it very interesting!!!
I've actually seen quite a lot of what you described coming out of Asian countries.

It's understanding to be shocked, and surprised but don't say something to the effect of "you look gross," "you look ridiculous" or "you look terrifying"

All these women look incredible without their traditional makeup.
That’s why you can’t judge a book by its cover, as they all seem like beautiful inside and out.
What I loved about this was that each one ended up appreciating their normal look even more, and I have to add that they all look SO GOOD as their dark goth selves.
The only shocking thing here is the awful wigs 😫😫
And all the pink clothes, it's just to much even for a "normie"
To say that the transformation did not quite work would be an understatement. All of the wigs looked fake and awful. The outfits they picked out for each woman were pretty ridiculous. They did, however, do a decent job with the make-up.
I was thinking the same thing! It feels so in-authentic(?), like they're trying to imitate what a "girly girl" looks like by looking at Barbie dolls for reference! Or on the other hand, it's just the most basic outfit with a terrible wig😭
@@ngentertainment4582 I like the last outfit, but not the pink Barbie looks.
I don't think the point was to give them a proper life changing makeover. They just wanted to see how they'd look in a different style.
The outfits they gave them 😭 they did them all dirty
was literally thinking the same 😭
I think the outfits they gave them looked great !
‘You look like someone who would bully me in school’ was so iconic 😂 I feel much more comfortable around the misfits and weirdos

I think their reactions were a bit disappointing as well. I would have said something like “you look great either way” not “I hate it”.
personally I've got the feeling that both girl's boyfriends appreciated their new looks. They wouldn't say it out loud to not disappoint their girlfriends but judging from their reaction they did.
It's kind of normal that you lose friends if you change your approach to life -- and clothes/how you present yourself are a huge part of that.

The second girl look so good in the orange outfit it a shame her friends didn't like it she looked like she liked the outfit very much
Some of these transformations are the incorrect way to introduce these people that have lived a certain way for a long time.

It’s so cool how every single person has their own style and essence that can’t be replicated, from the biggest to the smallest things
Watching this is so satisfying somehow
Everyone seemed happier before the cheap makeovers. I hope these women stick with the style in which they feel best.
You are absolutely correct when you said cheap makeovers. I thought the same thing too. Just because its pink and blonde doesnt mean its glam.
