Maybe apply it to the windscreen then put go pro inside mounted centrally. Film it from the inside with hosepipe chucking water on it on each setting yours has, turn the wipers on to see what the simulated driving experience would be at each stage. Then you can edit a side by side to show degredation/sheeting at each stage? Just a thought.

For testing... I'm thinking a cheap pillar drill with a squeegee / wiper blade fabricated so the drill spins it at low speed against a glass sample panel (about 6" square)
You could set a fixed height stop to ensure repeatable pressure and run each sample for a set amount of time...
You could even use the same setup for future videos with a polishing pad to test the aggressiveness of abrasives...?

When you do the final test, can you rig up a fan, to show what speeds these start to work at.
My daily drive to work never exceeds 50mph, and is often below 40. Some of the glass sealants I’ve used, don’t work very well at, or below these speeds, so adding a speed test, would add a very informative chapter.

yer to do a jeweling polish really you want to take an ultra fine finishing polish (Scholl S40 or Menz SF3800) on a really soft pad like a flex red or rupes white or scholl black waffle and just slowly do another polishing set. Its a lot of extra work for tiny gains but thats detailing for you. I think I have one in the tank on this.

Ultra glaco just for the application only is a solid contender. I did all the screens around and it was a brisk. Party trick is it will wipe off just like a good wax - two swipes and is 100% off. Zero drama. It took me maybe 20mins for side and back, hand-polish with a mild glass polish solution, wipe, prep, wipe, wait few mins to evaporate, glaco it, wipe. Simple. You can do a car around with glaco and still it will just wipe off perfectly. Will see how it sticks on a side windows. Expecting lifetime ;)

Can you incorporate a test/results for the speed which they start working?
Isn’t the point/marketing of these products to reduce wiper use and increase visibility. When they don’t start working until 40mph and 80% of your driving is city 30mph. You don’t get any real benefit and just wear it off with wiper use.
There will obviously be a difference between vehicles and the rake of the windscreen, but it would be nice to know which one works at the slowest speed.

Removed it completely with Rupes Blue DA compound and then the Glaco compound, leaving a completely smooth and hydrophilic screen.

I'm sure some viewers are driving older cars or classics without AC (or a faulty AC) and fogging up of the inside windows can be a real pain in the ass, especially now during the fall and wintertime. @@ForensicDetailing Re: "you just stick the old demisters on". That's good old rationality talking here my friend, not something we in the detailing community are particularly known for now is it? ;) It's like saying "you just use the wiperblades" instead of a glass sealant or "you just stick to one wax". If four people get in the car with a wet jacket on after a rainshower, it will fog up quickly no matter what. You ideally want to prevent fog from forming in the first place, instead of treating the problem with a demister or blower and wait for it to clear. A lot of the big brands have anti-fog products in their lineup (Gyeon, Carpro, Soft99, Sonax, Stoners, Rain-X) but none seem to work completely as advertised. It would be a nice chance to use the steamer on the glass and make for a fun video... :)

Tried Glaco DX, its average imo. Durability for me was 8 weeks, 2000 miles. Positives are no wiper judder on initial application or ghosting which is great. I do prefer HDD Hydrology and Angelwax H2GO, for me they offer better performance and durability and just as easy to apply

I have to say that this Glaco product, like most products that go onto any windscreens is bad news. Terrible smearing after using this product. I cleaned and reapplied and got the same results. I personally would not recommend this, or any similar product that claims to help disperse water from your windscreen. The smearing that you get from them just makes it harder to see , especially in winter. Stick to a decent glass polish and you won’t go to far wrong.

its all in the prep. Ive just applied both of these today. the glaco compound is critical. then the sealants go on, once its cured and the wet buff is done the final dry buff must get you to a clean clean finish. when you do that they work well. Then leave them alone. glass polish on its own will leave the glass totally hydrophillic. ill show you the difference soon with just glass polish in one section verus these sealants in real life rainy conditions and you can see if Im getting any smearing. another good tip is use a hydrocarbon cleaner like cleanser fluid on the wipe blades after you do this.

i've been using Glaco Ultra for years.....The best for me....not only applying it on windscreen, but on all my car windows and side mirror...and it helps to prevent watermarks....

This is by far the best stuff I have used on glass. A real world test done over the past 5 weeks and 7000 miles in UK weather, the protection has all but gone now but I am very impressed.

@@Nite-owl Its the Ultra, its not just the 5 weeks thats particularly relevant, its the mileage I have done in this time, some people would only do in 6-12 months.

@@delwynhobbs3548 Good to know. I have the Ultra on and I'm on around 2 months, but only roughly 600 miles. It's still acting like new for me. I replaced Angelwax H2Go with it as that wasn't particularly resilient. With my limited mileage I'm hoping for circa 8-12 months but in truth, if I get six months I'd be delighted, it's THAT GOOD IMO.
