When he was talking about the Pokémon games, he was right. The status moves really are important overall, even in Generations 1 through 3. Being a kid though I always chose the heaviest hitting moves for my Pokémon, for example teaching my Blastoise Fissure or Raichu Mega Kick😅
Aside from trying to use cheats, which i couldn't use because i didn't know you needed to hold shift in order to use them (amd weren't even translated in the Dutch game!), i played The Sims series correctly as a kid, because i didn't want my Sims to die. And i also understood pools needed ladders for the safety and had a feeling thet might not be able to get without them, because games could have their limitations.
I play GTA for the missions and the free roam. Whenever I play GTA IV I usually don't free roam until later when I unlock all of the areas. The GTA IV dlcs I just explore and cause choas.
In the same vein of Overwatch entry, games like Call of Duty and ESPECIALLY Valorant... It's a TEAM game. If you DON'T want to use comms to win stick to the solo, FFA, Deathmatch modes and away from the TEAM and objective modes. If all you want are kills then stick with deathmatch or last team/player standing
There isnt something like "playing a game correctly". Its a game, not a duty, its for entertainment. I play it the way I want. if it was wrong, then that option wouldnt be available. By the way I play GTA games for story, i always complete the main campaign first, then explore the game for more. but nothings wrong if some players like to go rampage mode. I mean who decides whats right or wrong in a fictional world?
i know this one is obvious but... League of Legends and Wild Rift... Almost everyone just plays to get the most kills and brag about being "pros", they want tue supporting member to babysit them and a lot of people forget about HAVING FUN, people get extremely mad if they lose on pvp or aram i mean, i kinda get it when people get upset in rankeds because everyone wants to get to the highest levels but even so, you can play more rankeds and level up, it's not the end of the world, people forget it's about teamwork, not about bragging about their scores and trying to carry the team alone. I've seen so many people being so mean to people that are just learning how to play becuase they want to have fun...
If we’re playing online never let me drive the vehicle I will more then likely crash it, not because I’m trying to but because I’m so bad at those kind of controls
The generation who grew up from PS2 onwards are going to find sandbox in about every game they play. When I grew up I played the Sega Mega Drive and apart from racing games I really couldn't play other games any other way other than to complete the levels. I will say though it was amazing in Sonic the Hedgehog just how many players couldn't get past the island platforms on act 2 of Green Hill.
Im the type of person (most of the time) that tries to play a game they way the developers would want like trying to utilize all the game mechanics to the fullest extent because I want to see what the developers intended the experience to be. One of my friends has pretty much the exact opposite mindset from the first level he actively tries to find glitches and exploits to essentially beat the game as fast as possible and you will never be able to convince him that he's playing the game "wrong" because he's having fun. In short, this is one of the lamest lists ever, do better

I can name a few games that some people play wrong there first time on it. But of the top of my head it would have to be Star Trek Online. Bit like Overwatch in many ways as you said it to be, but with more brain dead players who think they are right, with this one guy shouting out what we should be doing, even swearing at us when he was the one messing up.
Everybody plays Saints Row franchise wrong because you're doing mindless violence and removing your characters clothes to make your wear character underwear or nothing. and everybody plays wrong for mindless violence in red dead redemption franchise and minecraft,bully for midless bullying.

It’s pretty arrogant to say players are playing wrong just cause they don’t play it the way you do, if the game didn’t want us playing that way then it wouldn’t be an option.
GTA quality storytelling? No thanks. I’ve never been able to relate to any of the characters, so I usually just end up going into car, chases and free roaming on motorcycle doing stunts, because the characters are so awful. I beat GTA 34 and five, and wasn’t satisfied with the stories in any of those

Yeah… I looked at moves like growl or tail whip and was like they do no damage? No thanks! I’m just going to skip to doing as much damage as possible.
With GTA it's only if you finished the story!
