Thanks so very much I am so very well after decades, it was not the meat, it was the wheat! the celiac list was me, the whole list. now neurology is 100 percent better and my skin is lovely again.....and no gut pain after years of thinking a meal equals pain. I cannot thank you all enough, and glad Hopkins is "getting the memo" on wheat and how to heal the entire system!

Very interesting. I wish more small town doctors would continue their education with you both. Perhaps the next generation will have a better chance at health. Are the new doctors learning this or is it not taught yet? They tell you to go to their dietician. They teach calorie restriction, reduce fat and hard core exercise. So sad.
Fermented foods are on their way back!!

This is further cause to consider a low-carb diet to treat obesity.

This is very interesting.. You guys should talk about H pylori Bc the triple therapy is very harsh and doesn't work.. Many people have this H pylori problem.

Yes, some fruits are high in sugar and low in fiber. Grapes for example. It's a smart thing to turn grapes into wine, the fermentation gets rid of the sugar and creates a product that is arguably more healthy (when consumed moderately) and certainly more enjoyable for most people. (it's also more expensive, of course).
As a generalization, almost without exception, fermented foods are particularly healthy for humans, probably because of the increased bacteria content and consequent lack of sugars and carbohydrates.
