    Sweet. I can see how this would be very challenging without great instruction like this!

    Thank you. I have a harness adapter on a John Deere, with those bullet connectors inside the plug and one wire has a bad connection. This was helpful.

      Glad I could help!
      It's a little difficult but it's free and fixes the problem assuming your wires are connected properly.

      @@owensworkshop I have a loose safety 12V signal wire on the wiring harness adapter that the PTO plugs into and it is not making a good connection to the PTO switch. So even though the PTO is off, the loose connection is not passing 12V through and the tractor is not starting unless I play with that wire to get just the right connection. I was thinking of just putting some dielectric or conductive grease into that one hole on the plug to help get a better connection from that signal wire.

      @@godwhomismike I would use the grease but not as a solution. I would first check the wires and connector for damage and corrosion. Try and address any problems with those so that the connection is physical and not passing through grease. Since its a tractor I assume that the fix is simple and can either be done by doing what I suggested, replacing the parts (I assume tractor parts are easy to source and cheap), or by doing a different bush hack like removing the connector all together and doing a direct splice/solder.

    Thanks, saved me tons of time! I messed up the pins and had to order new ones sadly. If I remember correctly the part number for KTM is 000700000HI if anyone needs to do the same.

    Do u just pull it off side of engine or does it clip off mines is stiff

    • @owensworkshop
      @owensworkshop  Год назад +1

      There is a finger release on the female connector which must be pressed in fully to disconnect the two ends. Additionally, they are generally stiff so I would try to externally clean it and be gentle.

    how the hell did u get them terminals uncrimped

    • @owensworkshop
      @owensworkshop  Год назад +1

      I used a micro flathead screwdriver and carefully picked the connector crimps apart.
      Look in the comments, I think someone found that you can order the metal portion of the connector and gave a part number. You could also call WMR racing in Florida and ask them.
