Get a bar of Fels Naptha (old school laundry bar soap). Should get rid of that poison ivy pretty quick.

Troy great class about charcoal, the poison Ivy is beautiful here in Dunedin Florida. We’ve had just a right amount of rain, got the little white berries and I’m sure 3/4 of people don’t even know what it is. It’s growing right by the paths got the nice green shiny leaves.

Raw potato slices on the poison ivy, the starch helps with the itching tremendously!

Thanks for this video. I like your idea of setting the bio-char near the chickens. I have worm composting and use the castings in an aerated bucket of rain water to make compost tea over the course of 3 or 4 days. I think your method will work equally well and is a more passive means of achieving the same goal. As for lump coal, this is the first time I've heard of it and am not sure how you time the burn time to achieve the end product.
After the compost tea (with worm castings, liquid fish fertilizer, orgainc fertilizers, and rock dust) is completed at the end of day 3(air loving bacteria population is maxed) I'll add the biochar into the aerated bucket and let it charge for 24 hours. I've heard several stories of raw bio-char added straight into the garden to now understand that charging via compost tea beforehand or in your case, using the chicken activities, allows the bio-char to fully absorb nutrients/enzymes/bacteria. Once added to soil the charged bio-char will continue to make a positive impact within the soil for 100's of years. Happy Easter to you and your family.

Omg, poison ivy is no joke. I have had to have steroid shots because of it.

Your poison Ivey would be a good trial for an old wives tale. Something about burning green red cedar and holding the affected area over the smoke for a period of time.
Seems like I have already seen it, just do not recall.

It’s a shame with the stigma that society has put on smoking
People who don’t understand lump everyone/ thing together.

Of course you're wearing black socks, it has to match the black shorts. And good color choice, really accentuates the paleness between the two.

My husband and I were just talking about making charcoal yesterday. Now you proved me right 😁! Also, the comfrey roots we bought earlier are doing really great! 7 of 10 have popped up so far. We live in middle Georgia so I didn't keep them inside. I just moved them in the well house when it was close to freezing. Strong little suckers Thank you VERY much!!!!!
