Can you add some old WTVT "AM Show" and "Breakfast Beat" show opens and clips from the 1960s and 1970s? It would be so nice to be able to see Ernie Lee again. I miss that man!!!
WTVT, the Fox affiliate in Tampa FL, is owned and operated by Fox Television Stations LLC, a subsidiary of Fox Corporation. WTVT is the sister station to Fox affiliate WOFL and MyNetworkTV affiliate WRBW in Orlando and Fox affiliate WOGX in Gainesville.
I miss the older sets they used. I don't care as much for the current ones from the last couple of years. I liked the 2005-2017 (at 14:05 onward) and pre 2005 (at 12:09 on) sets better.
No. If it did, it wouldn't have switched to Fox. It also probably would have featured the CBS Eye in its logo and used news themes with the "I Love Chicago" signature.
As far as I know, WTVT did not use the Fox signature with "Impact V.1;" this is how the original cuts sounded like. By the way, that first series of opens using "Impact V.1" look absolutely stunning-a great example of (I believe) Television by Design's later work (it could be John C. Burns'; I still have a hard time distinguishing between both since they shared similar styles and also had much of the same equipment. In fact, Burns had founded TVbD but left a few years later). The "20th Century Fox opening logo-like" opens with "Impact V.2" also work really well.
"Impact V.2," however, does come with the Fox signature in it. There were multiple opening cuts in "Impact V.1," and WTVT used them in their intended timeslots (except at 10:00; that cut appears to be a custom late open). "Impact V.2" also had separate cuts at 6:00 A.M., 8:00 A.M., and noon (this info by way of News Music Now: www.newsmusicnow.com). I think there are more samples of opens using "Impact V.1" before they rebranded to "Fox 13" (with the "From Florida's News Leader" line).
The openings with Impact v1 were the best in my opinion 10:46

Good old days growing up with Hugh Smith, Roy leep, salty sol, Andy Hardy, uncle Bill and Shock Armstrong...I miss those days.
Let's not forget "Salty" Sol Fleischman!
I mentioned him😊
Ah Shock Armstrong the All American Ghoul..I remember the 13 On his jersey..
WTVT Channel 13 is now Fox affiliated right after CBS.
You need to add some old WFLA-TV news opens from the 1950s and 1960s! That would be so cool!!!
Can you add some old WLCY-TV news opens from the 1960s and 1970s? That would really be cool!!!

I found the 1999-2003 _Good Day Tampa Bay_ open in a station blooper reel from 2001 that has been posted to RUclips.
Dick Ervasti Does Both WFLA And WTVT from 2000-2006.

The one they had from 1999-2007 was one of the best news sets I've ever seen.
sez: Can you do some Milwaukee news opens next? WTMJ & WITI, for example? Can't wait to see what you got! 😀 Thanks!
