Big copperhead indeed! Your story about catching your first two green snakes reminds me of a similar situation for me. I had searched for eight years for my first Louisiana Milk Snake. Then I found two within 10 minutes! For us in east central Texas that was the “holy grail” of serpents!
I caught a big broad-headed skink in my grandparents backyard in North Carolina once. It was FIESTY and about the length of your were your palm and elbow meet. I’m pretty sure she was a girl but I had been tracking her for a while now. She got stuck of one of our roofs and had to save her. I also caught tons of green anoles in her backyard. I LOVE HOW THEY CHANGE COLOR! So beautiful! I love watching you videos! You inspire me at the age of 12 to herp for reptiles! Please keep it up! Your awesome!! ❤🥰🐍🦎
Been watching for about two months now great videos keep up the good work! you’ve inspired me to go Herping and i’m going to a new site tomorrow and making a video about it. Love your videos, from Missouri
I love that the new king went into ball mode! I didn’t know that was part of their behavior! The prehistoric fossil rock could have been from an early ocean bed! That Toad was awesome as well
When you picked up the rat snake you got really lucky there wasn't a rattlesnake or copperhead laying nex to him further under that tin there was still enough of that tin laying on the ground to hide a snake. I would have pulled him out a little bit with that hook. Be safe and keep up the awesome videos I love what you do it's one of my passions ever since I was old enough to flip over tins rocks and logs.
The experience you have makes me want to try to snake hunt! I’ve always been fascinated by them. We usually have a bunch of Rattlers and chicken and rat snakes in Georgia.
That is a nice kingsnake,,,,I found one with a lot of black color even the belly was almost entirely black with a few white flecks but a really nice well defined chain on the back...ive also found a chocolate phase. I think the pandemic was really beneficial to snake populations.
It may be that the tin you have at home has gradually attracted Kingsnakes. Their prey is there, and over time the kings discover them. Just a thought. Keep up the good work!
Well Noah, I am sorry you drove such a long way to come up rather short, but I loved this video! There were quite a few snakes, including another king at your house and they were of various sizes. Maybe you should try a state you have not been to, or some new locations you have not tried? I don’t know, but I know you will figure it out and keep bringing us great content! Hang in there and keep it comin! Take it easy and have a great weekend!!! 😄💙🐬🐊🐍
Leaving tomorrow for 7 days exploring new places with more agreeable forecasts with Graham and Stephen, it’ll be a nice change of pace! Your comments are always so encouraging Jenn, thank you!
Just got some acreage in the Orangeburg area and I put out about ten pieces of tin along the tree line, and in some other areas. Not much water around other than a few ditches but fingers crossed.
Hey man! What hook is it you're using? I keep trying to find one on Amazon but reviews are always crappy saying it breaks easily, etc. What are you using? Thanks!
You’re right for the most part. Usually the medium rocks are best, they need to have space for a snake to get under them too. And make sure to only flip rocks you’re sure you can replace exactly how they were found.
@@NKFherping good to know I wasn't misinformed completely lol. And yea that's why I don't mess with stacks or piles of rock. Honestly I only flip something if it looks flat and lifts easily, so Ive never really messed with rocks. Mostly mattresses, sheets of wood, or anything else along those lines.
All Black Kings have bands when they’re born. They lose them with age in some cases, and retain them in others. They can be easily differentiated by band count at any age, you won’t find an Eastern King anywhere with that many bands much less in GA/AL.
Hi. My name is Anderson from Brazil. I have a question for you. Just Curiosity . Have you ever been bite by a venomous snake? If so, can you tell a little about?
Hey dude do you have any advice as to how to help an injured snake? I found a clipped watersnake earlier who had been hit in the neck, he’s drinking water but has a very obvious kink in his neck now
Best thing you can do is give them somewhere safe to rest and recuperate for a few days. And give them water. If they live for a few days, I usually release them. Keeping them for too long can cause a different set of issues. I will say the majority of clipped snakes I’ve found that survived were hit on the head or neck, lower body injuries are usually more likely to be fatal.
@@NKFherping Thanks for the help brother, I’ve got him in a 40 gallon tub with a bedding and he’s been drinking a lot of water as well as moving around a decent amount so hopefully it can recover.
@@NKFherping it makes me extra sad because it’s nearing almost four feet long and hands down the the biggest snake ive seen in Massachusetts in my life.
Hey man great videos as always can I ask being from ga as well I use to kayak down river mid July to hunt baby turtles any chance u may want to possibly do a baby turtle video hunt in future
Nkfherping do you think you could come to Ky and spend a day heeling with me? My mom says I need someone experienced to herp with. I would love it if you could come down to Ky and join me for a day of herping!
Hey Noah, How about you stuff a big plastic bag in your pocket before you go out herping? We see many cans and a few plastic water bottles sitting among the rocks there on the lakeshore, degrading our natural world. Even if you couldn’t collect and remove all that trash, removing any from the environment would be worthwhile. Also, if you could take an occasional moment to encourage folks to not discard such things but to carry them away that would be helpful. Some people seem to think that somehow the detritus they discard will magically disappear. Never miss a video. Thank you very much…
Soo.. I grabbed a huge watersnake and it's butt was attached to a small male. Kinda disturbing and I wish I hadn't of done that but they were in the grass and all I heard was horny slithering. I also want to know how he knew it was a black kingsnake?
I don’t get it when I see snake they ( head for the hills) I would have to run them down. It’s like the snake knows your not going to hurt them. Your a snake whisper

The view of that little lake is absolutely gorgeous.

Nice moves my man! Getting both of those racers knowing they would latch on and committing to the movement. Good stuff.
Omg, that green snake is adorable. Nice find.

🤣 on the double racer flip.
"Got you"
((bite)) on the contrary sir, "I" seem to have YOU.
Saving face is important, even to sneks .
In the years i've been watching your channel, i think this is the first time i've seen a copperhead actually bite successfully.
Amazing finds as usual. I'm always jealous of all the things you can find in your yard. I don't even have a yard to flip in.
watching this helped me know what a ringneck is, found one at my house and had my kids hold it. Before this i'd have never known
I grew up always catching reptiles and amphibians! Steve Erwin was my childhood hero! I'm in my 30's now and still catch em 😎
Nice large ratsnake and new Easter king. The balling up is cute. This copperhead bit without much warning.
Man, jackpot for beautiful healthy snakes. Good work.
Good Video I have Always Liked the color of the Copperheads
The electric skateboard video was awesome! Should definitely do some more cruisin on the board👍
The kings have spread the word about Noah’s yard !

We like the walk about , even if there’s not a lot of herps
Hey i am a fan you are so cool keep up the work thanks for inspiring me
The locality of rat snakes in your home area are just incredible and they don't look like any I've seen from anywhere else.
Today at school we had free time so I watched some of your videos like usual 👍
Nice finds! That copperhead was a nice one, wish those guys were more common in my area!

That copperhead was one grouchy dude. Good thing he tagged your hook instead of your hand.
It may be that the tin you have at home has gradually attracted Kingsnakes. Their prey is there, and over time the kings discover them. Just a thought.

Cool channel makes me wont to go out and flip some tin myself
Can you do a video explaining how to tell the type of snake from just the shed skin? Your skills are impressive.
Keep the videos up They are 🔥💯🤟🏻
Have you ever done a video showing off your own personal collection? If not, would love to see that!
enjoyed this video, beautiful snakes (and lizards 🦎), despite the “oh,well“ warnings
This has been the roughest spring in regards to herping I've ever had. Lots of miles and work for very little.
As soon as I saw the copperhead in title I clicked!
A fairly snakey day!

Have never seen a green snake, in Tennessee, but have seen racers and indigo. I’d like to go to the smoky mountains sometime and look
I cant believe you stick bugged us

I have no doubt you’ll see some snakes!

That narrow mouth is so cute 🥰
@12:07 "This one's a baller"... lol!
I gotta start flipping heavier rocks. I was always under the impression that if it's sunken into the ground you'll only find bugs.

Well that is the first snake that not happy with you hahaha
They used to be common in my area of north Florida, now you never see them, like many types of snakes and other animal species.
Man I never seen that copper head until it moved.
Crazy wind
The only ring neck I’ve ever seen was just slithering in my yard at night. I almost stepped on it
I know we're all about the lamproeltis here, but there's honestly nothing I love more than a big pantherophis. Not even sorry about it. 😏
There’s nothing wrong with that! I love a good Ratsnake any day of the week.
@@NKFherping We get some really cool colors on them here in the Texas Hill Country, too.
I think there was a fence lizard under the same tin piece as the broad head skink 10:26
There sure was, I just had priorities haha. She’s been hanging out in that stack for a while, also a gravid female carrying eggs.
I love finding hidden reptiles In person and in videos!
First person to like this video. The other people are time travelers 🧐😡
What does “charmless” mean? I notice that you put that in parenthesis by the type of some snakes.
Looked more like an eastern king.

Hi. My name is Anderson from Brazil. I have a question for you. Just Curiosity . Have you ever been bite by a venomous snake? If so, can you tell a little about?
