... they prolly do got them sukkas in other countries big bro, but now, all jokes aside, if you really want to see a weird looking turtle, that super strange looking, and cool af, that is, if you're not afraid, then look up Matamata turtles...if you got what it takes to handle it...
Every time you go "wassup dude?" it makes me smile for some reason. I know it wasn't a snake but loved that you DID see something crossing the road! Also, loved turtle day.
Thanks for sharing your videos, I was desperately hoping the whole day that this evening (in europe) you'd drop a video. 🙌 I'm in hospital for 9 days now, after being bit by a tick, so I'd like to take this opportunity for the following message to all fellow herpers: Have fun, good luck finding herps, stay safe and please don't forget to take precautions for ticks/mosquitos/all sort of parasites! Don't be lazy on that like me sometimes, this time it caught me.
@@jmmarshall5492 I was bitten at the right ball and now it's so swollen that I'm close to losing it, and the antibiotics took a long time to finally work.. now it seems like it's going in a good direction says the blood test, but the swelling still won't go down. I was bitten like 200 times before and never had anything really. My brother was not so lucky, he doesn't go herping in the woods and stuff, but he had like one tick and got lyme disease which paralysed half his face, he almost died but after 3 weeks of antibiotics he's fine now. I also know some persons who somehow never get ticks. When I went into the wood with my granpa working on something, we came back after short time, I look for ticks and found 5 in total, he had none 😂
@@LeBabo47 Wow, you've had a tough time! Really sorry to hear that! I've noticed that as I get older, my body is starting to react more to both tick, and spider bites. Even mosquitoes are causing a reaction. I think I'll probably start wearing long pants and socks/shoes when hiking. Before I was just wearing shorts and sandals like Noah does, because bites never bothered me much. Yesterday I got bit by a very tiny spider and it turned red, itched, and made lower part of my leg swell up. YIKES
@@jmmarshall5492 I usually don't react much to bites on ticks, mosquitos or spiders, really the only strange reaction I had before was when a nonvenomous european smooth snake bit me, I got a small infection causing skin rash. This tick now must've had some nasty bacteria, I've made many tests but they couldn't tell what exactly, and I don't care honestly as long as it continues to disappear 😂 I can leave hospital maybe tomorrow after 10 days, and switch to antibiotic pills, at least I could get some stuff done at home then.. the bitter part is in hospital, you have so much free time and you can not really put it in any senseful way 🙄
The turtles were awesome! The bugs were nasty. It’s too bad you didn’t see more snakes. Maybe some rain will fall and perk things up a bit. If you are on your trip I hope it is going really well! Hang in there Noah and things will get better. Happy herping!!! 😄💙🐬🐊🐍
wow, SW North Dakota has been in its worst drought in half a century, then all of a sudden we get 3 feet of snow then 4 inches of rain after it thaws out. thats more water than the old wet years before it started drying out up here. i think we stole all your water
Been a weird "spring" here, too. Sucks. Today? 104. Sheesh. Love those softies, found a few in CO recently. Great underwater shot!! Appreciate the sex-ed talk, too.
You may have already mentioned this in previous videos but would be interested in your thoughts of the “Lake Providence snake rodeo” (and similar events) which takes place in LA soon that encourages participants to kill as many snakes as possible. Thanks for the great content.
NFK Herping, can you tell which part of town in metro atlanta has water moccassins? I never knew they existed in metro atlanta until I discovered your videos.
I’d love to come out with you one day but I am absolutely terrified of pretty much everything you find aside from the turtles 😂 yes I am scared of frogs and lizards
I find Cottonmouths odd. There's no reason for them to be venomous. They live side by side with non-venomous Nerodia which hunt the same prey. Nerodia are good hunters and get the job done so why did nature drop a pit viper on us?
I love the amount of videos posted here. I look forward to them so much.
Softshells are so cool! They look so odd you'd expect them to be a species from a different country!

....yiiiiiiiiikes!!!....😱....I wouldn't do it if I were you though, you might have nightmares all night long if you can't handle what you see ...ijs
I've had my softie for over 2 yrs. Out of all my turtles he is the coolest and has the most personality.
I ❤️ how u always are into the outdoors
Cool shot of the Soft shell . Always enjoy watching 👍👌
man you have really good eyesight and quick identification skills
That’s Very Awesome the Softshell turtle , They Have Always Been My Favorites !!! So Cool !!!

Awesome it is so great watching a fellow Georgia herper!
Very cool video. I'm always impressed with your turtle catching ability. I definitely need to practice.
I love this time of year!
Spiny softshells are absolutely a target species for this year for me! Awesome video!

How did you react to that tick bite? Leg swell up? I get bitten lots, but rarely have a reaction.

These ones are my favorite. Turtles are so cool
I can never get tired of seeing softshells. Their faces are so adorably goofy.
Hi I hope you have an amazing day
Awesome video! That soft shell was gorgeous. Really like the idea of cruising on your board. Hopefully you’ll find something crazy with that method.
you know it's a great day when NKFherping uploads (I know saying that sounds cliché)
Back to back videos!🎉 love your videos

You have got me in the mood to get out and do this again..Me and my daughter's are planning a trip soon to Southern Illinois ❤
Yes yes very windy 🌬
When i see softshells.i just remember the crazy softshell from the amazing world of gumball..
Sweet intro. Loved it
Ooh. Them cottonmouths shiver me timbers. 😞
I saw those bugs and now all I can think about is all of the bug bites haha

I’ve caught a couple brown snakes around that size here in Western NY.
what do you do if a 3 month old corn snake fell 30 inches from the ground

NFK Herping, can you tell which part of town in metro atlanta has water moccassins? I never knew they existed in metro atlanta until I discovered your videos.
South, West, and Northwest sides have them, East and Northeast don’t.
Can confirm they are in the South and the West, seen plenty of them.
I expected the softshell to be much more aggressive honestly.
Yessir
Since Atlanta is north GA what is considered south? I am curious because I drive thru and have stayed on occasion.
ugh I can never find the right spots in Atlanta, would you ever go herp w/ subs?
Please more creek herping videos!
Are you on the Silver Comet trail? Didn't know moccassins could be spotted there.
What does NC2 mean? I think its when the snake hasnt moved but idk
It's *in situ* Latin for in place. You had the right idea of it. It refers more to the animal as found vs after being moved by the finder.
hi my name is ian I was asking if you have heard of a gray tree frog they are cool native to kentucky i was herping for some they are neat
Is natchez trace where you like to go in Mississippi
Out of curiosity why don’t you wear waders or snake proof footwear some people take a lot of precautions for venomous snakes some don’t
Hi Noah
🥲🥲🥲ummm just why is it sticking out
I’d love to come out with you one day but I am absolutely terrified of pretty much everything you find aside from the turtles 😂 yes I am scared of frogs and lizards

Cottonmouths are much more generalistic. They’ll eat just about anything, they’re like the vacuum cleaner of the swamp. They’ll even eat Nerodia.
