My understanding is the best automotive design program in India is at NID. Outside of India, the best schools are CCS and Art Center in the US and Royal College in the UK. There are others are well. Do some research. The best place to start is here - www.udemy.com/introduction-to-automotive-design/
This is a good question. The two you listed are the biggest responsibilities but the third would be make presentations. You have to stand up in front of your peers in your studio and, more importantly, upper management, who will ultimately pick your design to go to production and you have to tell them why your design in the best choice. In part, you have to be a bit of a salesman. Other skills include being able to do research. It helps if you're good with the press. You have to be able to interact with engineering, product planners and marketing people. Last;y, it helps to keep up with what is going on not only in the car world, but in other creative fields. You should know a bit about what is happening in architecture, fashion, furniture design, etc.

Contests are fun and I may do another in the future, but right now I need to focus on content for the channel and for the new Udemy course. The quick marker technique will cover how to represent your idea quickly in marker format including reflections, light and shadows, yes.
I would suggest this to anyone who would like to participate in the FCA contest but lives outside the US. Do the competition as if you were going to participate. Like I mentioned in the video, you get to do the ultimate expression of one of their brands. Look at the previous winners on their site and prepare a design and presentation as if you were going to submit it. What's the point of doing this? How about the chance to stop just drawing cars and start designing them? Work as if you were a real designer doing the ultimate production car for one of FCA's brands. How about a really nice project piece for your portfolio? Unless your portfolio is overflowing with awesome quality projects that will get you a scholarship into a top design school, use this chance to create one for yourself. How about using this as a chance to take your drawing, design and presentation skills to the next level? Unless your skills are already off the chart and amazing and all the auto companies are sending you offers, use this as a chance to improve every part of your game. If you've really love what you've done for this, everyone can send them to me and I'll put them in a future video, post them on our site or on our FB group page.

After just doing an international contest myself, it's hard to manage. Their contest is local to the US so they can manage it effectively. Plus the winner has to go to Detroit to pick up the prize.
