When I watch your videos I make sure I do so without any other distractions. The way you instruct resonates with me. I’ve had some legitimate “aha” moments on the water trying to put what you said into action.
61y/o smiling while listening to young dude talking about Old School. :) Just getting back into it after being out of fishing for 25+ years. Successfully, mostly, using soft plastics and other lures that sat for years. The Berkley Power Baits still smell powerful. I have been picking up some newer gear as I go along, though. I enjoy your content and have been subscribed since I first found you. Keep'em coming, thanks.
The hook recommendation you gave me a minute back was awesome, was able to put 2s where I had 4s before. Work great! Constantly making me try new things man I love it.
You're the best! Start out with the stupidist effective bait - the speed worm, and end up with a fashion show of every soft plastic in the Gambler lineup. Way to go Balzzy!!!
ROFLMAO 😂 😂😂 you put swimsuit girls bikini top in the video. You are the man!!! Only some one with my mentality would have thought of that. Guys, Mikey is a man with a lot of common sense and a huge sense of humor. Thanks for the laugh this morning. I’m going to the Wick and will laugh every time I see a pink bathing suit today thinking about this. Or,,,,,,,does he have a new lure? There may be hooks on that top 😁😂😂
I love this channel Mikey reminds me of the same guys I hung out with in highschool! And not to mention BOG, if Bog is on a channel I'm subscribing period, Bog is the best dog fisherdog to have ever lived and should be inducted into Bass fishing hall of fame!
I don't have a lot of veggies on my home lake but there is all kinds of brush. I think I'll give this a shot. I might even rig it with a Culprit Fat Max and see if I can't get bit. I also might try finessing it down a bit with a Missile Quiver Worm.
Lucky Craft makes a bait called the Optigrub, 5" -curly tail -shad shaped -grub that looks like it would really work well for this. It looks sorta like a fluke with a curly tail on it.
Thank you sir great info this actually works in north west Florida ( panhandle). I’ve actually taken the skirt of the swinging swim jig by strike king with the rage menace and the zoom speed worm .
Been doing this one for years here on Kansas/Missouri lakes that have grass. It's an awesome technique and most folks don't do it. Not sure why some folks have a mental block to throwing a worm in the grass.
I use 2/0 gamakatsu ewg hooks for the thin wire super easy penetration....also the smaller size allows room to shorten the worm as the hook area rips out ...
It's like UR in my head bro! I was just looking at all the grass in my pond wondering best way to fish it. And boom in comes UR video on swimming the worms in the grass f an a bro. I will let you know how it goes!
I need to get some gambler burner worms.i got some from net bait too. I lost a huge one on the megabopper 7.75, went 20lb floro 3/16 and i snelled it w a gamakatsu flip hook finnese hvy hook.i stuck her out over suspended wood, and slammed it! I hooked her good,2 times round the boat, and threw it as she went under the boat.....i wish i had the oshaunessy hook..go MBRF
Learned the swimming worm while at a Disney World resort went to bass pro shops in Orlando they had a seminar going on about this presentation worked great in the resort lakes
You need to get some JR Custom Lures Tiller Tads and toss those on wobble heads etc;‘especially on Gunters. A tadpole on steroids. It’s a custom hand pour bait offered in two sizes.
Great technique ! Have you ever tried the CPF Lure's 7" Thumper Pro. They make it in three different versions. Regular , Floating and Slow Floating. I've been doing pretty good with it. A fun technique to use when they are not hitting the crankbaits. Thanks for sharing. Love your down to earth videos !!!!😎👌💪
If I was limited to one bait, and one rod and reel, i would throw a Zoom Ultra vibe worm in Green Pumpkin with a 1/4 oz pegged weight. Just throw and swim and search.
Alright….I gotta ask just because i’m the type that notices everything. What are you doing in your garage? You have tackle storage, but added LVT/ laminate flooring. Plus you have everything you need to remodel/flip homes. You building the ultimate B-Pad? Oh and the fishing stuff is awesome.
Hey Mike I have a question for you do you think this technique would work in lake's with out grass. I live in Missouri and most of the lakes don't have grass.
@@mikeybalzz thanks Mike hey Mike I love that jighead you made with gambler I never ever knew that there was a heavier ned jighead on the market and the screwlock keeper awesome bro. Hey Mike the reason I deleted all the pros I tube channels is because I can never get them to answer me when I have a question. Thanks again I appreciate you big time bud . And God bless you and your family and my buddy bogs he is my favorite u tube dog.
@MICHAEL LOUCKS thanks man glad u like that ned benn wracking them this spring on it. I'll give bogs a pat for ya appreciate the support on the channel 👊
Been swimming zoom speed worms in SoFlo ponds and canals and always produces! Thanks for all your knowledge Ballz, by the way what’s up with the pink bikini top? 🧐
I swim the Berkeley pit boss all the time. Especially the 3".. the spotted bass freckin love it on Logan Martin BTW BRING YOUR ASS DOWN HERE DUDE. you're missing out on the huge spots right now. U know who this is!
Hell yea man, love ur style! U must have read my comment on other video, the BLUE BOX caught the bikini models PINK TOP, that shit must work. U Da Man, rock on man
I fish a lot of plastics minus the wieght , ewg hook and biggee body plastics , slow down my fishing the bigs seems to get bigger meals and hate fast moving baits jmho nice vid
Weightless is the only thing that I have confidence in that's not gonna drag vegetation. Offset straight shank hooks for worms & EWG for craw presentations. Summer time fishing in AZ is almost as challenging as winter . Your pup does the same thing mine does to the fish. Lick it like a melting ice cream cone.
Does anyone realize that the speedworm represents a needle fish. There should be someone who makes a 12" version. That's close to the size I see the bigs explode on in toho and other Central Florida lakes. I've seen them chasing some that are close to 2ft long.
use to be my go to why do we stop using sh!+ that works smh lake fork has a thumper of a paddle think segmented too and i remember being fla and picking up jim biters paddle tails june bug and catchn the hell out of them
Yo mikie you ever heard of Don Iovieno the God Father of Plastic Worm Fishing he called it Doodle fishing he’s out of the west coast I found out about him about 2 years ago from Gary Swift he got ripped for fishing that way Aaron Martin took it too the next level becoming the under boss of the plastic worm god rest his soul
@@johncatelli8767 I called the shakeyhead a jig worm, a Ned rig, a jig worm that lost its tail, braid was nylon, crankbaits were plugs, Carolina rigs were bait rigs for cats, handles on baitcaster turned when you casts them, lipless cranks were rattletraps, whopper poppers were common for muskie and a pro wrote an article about adding a blade to a jig 20 years before the chatterbait, most spoons were Daredevils. The gambler cut in half or whatever length you like makes a excellent buzzbait trailer. Big fish caller. 😉
Love the videos due to no nonsense approach as if I just walked up to your garage and we started rapping. 👍👍
I like a 4/0 or 5/0 straight shank flipping hook. you go thru more plastics but comes thru cover better in my opinion.

I’ve used this technique in sparse hydrilla swimming a zoom big dead ringer with a 5/16 weight pegged-Great hot weather bite
Pink shorts are fine if you can fish ... Great advice like it Sir.
Really dig that Motorhead/Bass shirt man!🤘
👊
Good work Sir! Really enjoy your advice, style and willingness to share.

You're so animated.. love it. Swear you're from So. Cal. You just need to add, "Hella" to your vocabulary and you'll be complete.. tight lines!
Landed a few on the Gambler Little EZ with this technique once the bite slowed down throwing the Zoom Speed Worm!
I caught a few on the speed worm this morning in Orlando
Totally kickass shirt dude! I'm gonna try this technique tomorrow Thanks for the tip

I’ve been using standard offset hooks this year when I can, less hardware can often = more bites!!!
Nice tip cool technique. Thanks love the video work

Great video. Thanks for the tips. Have you ever tried swimming a stick bait and if so, what are your thoughts?
we actually used to burn them over the grass like that down on okeechobee. they sort of shimmy when when you reel them like that.

Great choice in tshirts. Have 7. Rip Lemmy.

Ive been swimming a Googan Bandito bug with a 3/16oz tungsten and they have been smoking it!
Googans aint welcome.
Ok, I was unaware...I'm not a googan, I just use what ever bait gets me the most fish...and every once in a while that is a googan bait...
Use a Gamakatsu ringed hook to get the same action as the jig head but more weed less
