I feel like our experiences are so similar, with the exception of twin pregnancy. I suffered PPD for my first 3 pregnancies. I'm pregnant with a surprise 4th pregnancy, and I'm already dreading postpartum depression (PPD). PPD is truly a dark well. I used to be so scared of the sunset cause night time is when the symptoms heightened. It was a learning experience. By the grace of God, I used my experiences as an opportunity to educate most women and even the people around them about Neonatal Mental Health. That birthed my first movie- Vanity, which is now showing on primevideo. You are a strong mama ❤️ Your story gives me hope. The thing that scared me the most about this 4th pregnancy is the fact that it is going to be my 4th c-section. Seeing you go through it with even twins is a source of hope for real.
Wow. Beautiful Journey. It’s sad that women have to be subjected to the Idea that it is by their ability that they determine if they deliver by CS or vaginal delivery. The body decides and we just have to be strong through it. Thank God for people like you speaking up and fighting….. Proud of You
Yemisi so much love here! Am a subbie but never commented. Am an older mom, my kids are teens but my last baby was unexpected too. Thanks so much for sharing your experience, it will help so many. God’s got you sis. Those twin darlings are blessed and will continually be a blessing to you and hubby!
Just yesterday, i was thanking God for all he had done for me and I didn't know when I said thank you for my mental health Lord.Sincerly i never knew what mental health was and how important it can be till I started a 9-5 job.OMG , I just wanted to be that happy young girl fresh from school with great dreams and aspirations really grateful i have recovered myself back again and i feel so good about it.Mental Health is a thing and not too many conversations are said about it, so I really appreciate this video so much. A tip i would like to drop is you can actually take a social media break, sincerely its more refreshing offline than online especially if there's love at home
It is so good for Africans to talk about mental health especially in pregnancy. You are an amazing inspiration to us all and God has got you always. ❤❤
Not me seeing myself in the dream yesterday playing with your kids, Tito, Tiara and the rest, and now boom, a notification from you 😮ah is this God trying to show me something? Twins calling mee🎉 Welldone Yemisi❤
Same with me if am pregnant i try to protect my mental health! By staying away from sad things that we dowel in my mind, bad news, sad post Facebook etc
You did well, sis Yemisi! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 I love that you spoke about protecting your mental health. Also, postpartum depression. So many women suffer from it. I was one of them. Mine was due to realizing I had no support system, and I wasn't married back then, and my close friends were single with no baby and free to go about, while I was limited. I cried all the time (day and night), as long as I was in the house. During most of the days, I was either working or taking classes, so I smiled a lot and felt normal. However, God blessed me with very cheerful twins. They gave me more reasons to smile at home. We are now like best friends. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Thank you for sharing this. I think couples and family members need to know this too, so they can treat preggy fam with well-deserved grace. Cos... stories dey
My dear, unplanned pregnancy really messed my mental health. It was terrible but my hubby and I love our son a lot but in the beginning it wasn’t funny
Sisi Yemmie is the real MVP... She shot this video twice for us. We appreciate you even more because we know that you are an exhausted mummy of 5, and time to do retakes is not really something anyone wants to do ordinarily, but you did it. Thank you.🏆🎉👏
Good morning Sisiyemi.. My question is between general anesthesia and spinal anesthesia which is better in a C-section..?? Am asking because in my 1st pregnancy I had an emergency C-section which was done with general anesthesia.. Currently am pregnant with twins for my 2nd baby pregnancy and I was told it's gonna be a spinal anesthesia.. Now am scred, which is actually better/safer..?? General anesthesia or spinal anesthesia..?? Thanks as I anticipate your quick reply..
Pls, you still need a lot of help, rest, as you are a perfectionist, pls slow down, reflect, manufacturing milk 🥛, five blessings to keep you on your toes, relax, calm down and enjoy me time. Darling….❤🎉😇

I totally agree. I didn’t tell anyone I was pregnant until closer to 28 weeks. Protecting your mental health is so important.
