Dollar for dollar, this is probably the best PWS on the market for under $1000. It is highly accurate and easily serviced. Mine had the switch in the rain gauge go out also. The ability to mount the anemometer separately from the rest of the sensors is critical to the weather purist.
Good review, the Davis is a very good reliable unit. The display console is beginning to look dated and with color displays being a cheap as they are now Davis could easily modernize the console. I like the software running on the PC and much prefer that to the console.
That's why I am giving up Davis. No innovation at all whereas a colour screen is much more attractive and easier to read. Have an ambient 2029a clone and still have my Davis vue and the clone is just as good
Trouble is with davis Costs a lot of money to go online and got sick of needing my Davis vue always need to be hooked up to PC My ambient clone goes on the internet and needs nothing extra.

rainwise is overpriced and unreliable...davis is best for the money..nice review
