As a guy who got all four wisdom teeth pulled at the same time to not waste time... no lie, it was painless and easy as hell. You’d be surprised at how effective anesthetic can be if you let it do its work and relax the whole way through. The pain in the jaw itself when the tooth loosened out was a bit out there, but nothing more than an ache. The constant gauze in my mouth for the next couple days was annoying though and I could taste soup all day, even when I changed out. The pits also feel really weird and gather up some sorta weird skin-like stuff every so often in the morning... eh, tangents.
Point is I get the fear, but it’s not that bad as a whole.
I'm pretty sure the whole dentist thing is a metaphor tho. But yeah, I myself have never been scared to visit the dentist. Although, I haven't had to get my wisdom teeth removed yet either.
I remember hearing them talking while they were cutting my gums. It was painless though so there's really nothing to worry about unless you needed a higher dose but the doctor didn't know. (They knocked me out with more anesthesia after they saw I was trying to open my eyes lol)

idk they just gave me something IV that got me high as fuck for about 3 seconds before i woke up in the car being driven away from the place. pretty painless for having 4 whole and a couple fragments of wisdom teeth removed

I actually had a dentist who once fucked me up by doing unnecessary shit on my mouth. I was also age 5-6 when this happened. My mouth didn't stop bleeding for over a week.
Unfortunately, I wasn't blessed with Novocaine. I was forced through it all.
