@@davidcortina2340 Yes Danny DeVito as Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a The Penguin.
Another great complete episode Patman. I really appreciate your attention to detail with these games, commercials and ABC bumpers to really recapture the time period. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the high praise, glad you enjoyed the trip down memory Lane
You put an insane amount of work into games that would be completely forgotten otherwise. You deserve the utmost of props, sir.
Thanks, it's a mixture of two things I enjoy Batman and video games
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries I really enjoy your content. Thank you for all your hard work.
Thank You PatmanQC For Your Complete Saga of The History of BATMAN RETURNS The Video Game's History Video And Remember PatmanQC You Be Glad You Did LOL♥️👍❤️👍

These episodes were quite the serious effort. Thank you.
Absolutely, thank you so much for watching
Great episode for a great movie!
Not only was there a glaring omission for the Gameboy and C64 ports, but Batman Returns never got a arcade port or a pinball machine in which Batman '89 and Forever did. A Konami arcade port taken from the SNES version would've been incredible.
Thank you so much. I always thought it was strange that the Game Boy didn't have a version.
Just when I thought the series was done….glad to see we have more!
This is the last one in the Batman returns series I promise :-)
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries nuuuuu...we need more.
Few things are as satisfying in a beat em up than the 2 for 1 Moe Howard special when between two bad guys! I remember the one in Combatribes being especially brutal!
Just subbed top the new channel, cant wait to check it out ! Good work man, love these compilation even if I have watched the separates uploads before. Thank you for the informations and entertainment.
Thank you, I appreciate that. For this video I put some extras in such as a commercials which weren't in the original videos. Thanks again

A. K. A Danny DeVito.
Been watching your vids for a while now !
Its pure memory lane !
And there getting bettet and better :)
Thankyou and keep them coming !
Thanks a lot, glad you like them
Batman Returns is my favorite Batman movie and the SNES version is my favorite of the Batman Returns games.
The super Nintendo version Is probably my favorite Batman game next to the Arkham Asylum games
That's what I said
fantastic. I spent the most time playing the arcade game, the genesis original Batman and Batman on the TG-16. I had game magazines with walkthroughs for the nes game. I never cared for the game but those walkthroughs made it seem like the most epic thing ever at that age
I remember having batman returns on my Megadrive as a kid, happy times
Me too. Such an eerie game as well. Loved it.
Excellent
THE LIBERATION OF GOTHAM HAS BEGUN!!!!!
-Oswald Cobblepot a.k.a The Penguin
Nice retrospective
Thanks
Great compilation. A very interesting detail about Bill Finger having a major influence in the development of Batman early on. Thanks! They just released The Flash preview trailer with what looks and sounds like Michael Keaton's Batman in it. Should be cool to see.
Thank you. Yes, I cannot wait to see Michael Keaton's Batman back on the big screen :-)
Blast Processing always reminds me of that Console Wars episode of AVGN when he mentions The Genesis has Blast Processing and the SNES goes "What's that" "Uh, it's...Blast Processing" lol.
Really enjoyable video. I missed most of these Batman games.
Thank you very much
It's time to start making a big bowl of popcorn, folks!
Thank you my friend
Na na na na na na Patman, Patman. Na na na na na na Patman, Patman.
Thank you my friend lol
What about Superman's theme?
@@davidcortina2340 😂
Awesome man that's the ticket! Love the compilation, great series!!!!
Glad you like them!Thank you
So at 33:36 , you're saying he's walking like he's gotta pinch a loaf 😆
Pretty comprehensive, well done on this! 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Another great presentation!! Thank you
Glad you liked it! Thank you for the nice words
I luv how add the classic commercials I miss those times as a kid
So do I my friend
This is my all-time favorite beat em Up game second only to Streets of Rage
Absolutely it's one of my favorites as well
It's funny that you mention you never saw an actual batman cabinet when the game was so big. In the UAE where I grew up they only had one singular cabinet, and only briefly (along with a road runner cabinet) in the very early 90s in Sindbad's Wonderland in Dubai. I am not sure how long it was there, but I did get to play it a few times. I don't know how far I made it, but I think I made it past the chemical plant and not much beyond.
To be honest it's not that great of a game so perhaps if it was more popular than I would've seen it. At the time I probably went to four or five different bowling alleys and five or six big arcades. Never Saw it back in 1990 And to this day have never seen it in person
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries The game was fine. But the music and the way the voice clips were encoded gave the game a particularly creepy, eerie feel that never left me.
"Extra value Pasta Dinner' Lmao!
LOL
Great video. I was stunned at how great this game played, looked and sounded back in the day - I even didn't mind paying the $80 for the game. It still holds up well today. I like that there's a sound test and music test option in the menu. On the Stungun boss, when you first regain control of Batman, you can use Batman's grappling hook to grab the wall behind the boss to pull part of the cement wall against the boss's head, which causes extra damage.
Yes the sound test really helps with experiencing the music whenever you want. I should have included that author grappling hook and grabbing the wall which as you well know was straight out of the movie :-) this is one of my favorite Batman games of all time. Thanks
I immediately paused this when Patman mentioned his Secret Wars video, and went and subscribed to his other channel.
Thanks a lot, I need to get back over to that channel
The Penguins campaign van is called the "campain van". I see what they did there. 😉
Its amazing how You put together all this Classic information, you're awesome👍🎮👍🎃🎃
I appreciate that! Glad you enjoyed it, thank you
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Cool👍🎮👍
All the other beat em ups on the SNES had the same issue. They moved like they were underwater.
The super Nintendo version is definitely a notch above everything else
What??
Thank you so much for the video brought back so many memories I can remember all of those commercials and I had every one of those McDonald's toys , I actually still have a few certainly not in collector conditions I even have a few of those cups still, God if we only knew then what we do now right 👍. Thanks again.
Absolutely, thanks for watching
I watch something of yours at least once a day LOL between You , the Sack and the History Man I don't watch much else!! Thank You Again for all the Grade A Content!!
@@markputnam4902 That is some pretty good company to be lumped in with, thanks a lot :-)
I'm Batman!
The commercials make for great segues between chapters. Wonder if you'll do a video about the toy line someday.
Thanks. I absolutely will just on my other channel not this one
23:53 omg i almost ragequit and i'm not even playing
I think Batman Returns was the best Batman movie ever!
I preferred the first Tim Burton Batman movie but I liked returns as well
Patmanqc is totally a secret batman bad guy.😉
ThanksLOL
How come the link to your new channel is not in the description?
Sorry, it should have been ruclips.net/channel/UCvAWKRziGpR9ICkmEHUuLkg
I could’ve beaten this game in the same amount of time this video played for. Also, why all the ads?
The MS DOS version kind of reminds me a little of a combination of Private Eye I recently read about for Atari 2600 and the interrogation system for LA Noire.
I wonder who had Captain Marvel and Dr. Strange first, and why Marvel and DC copied each other.
There's plenty of examples of the companies copying off each other. Hawkeye and green arrow, death stroke and Deadpool, Swamp thing and man Thing, namor and Aquaman, etc.
Have u done one on Tutankham?
Not yet
Did you ever play The Adventures of Batman and Robin The Animated Series game on SNES. Probably my second favorite Batman game next to this one as it really makes good use of the Batman license. The Sega Genesis game was a hard ass shooter.
i never knew there were multiple endings to Batman Returns on the snes!
Glad I could help :-)
I loved Batman Returns on SNES. I think I used to rent that one and Adventures of Batman and Robin a lot at Blockbuster on the weekends if one of them was available.
That's another excellent Batman game
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Hell yeah. Took me a while to figure out the Riddler's Riddle's because the last answer was abbreviated to HB for Human Brain and there were no online walkthroughs back then. Luckily I had seen the show so knew most of the other ones.
Really enjoyed the news report about you. Great stuff man.

I had batman returns and forever ❤️ #93baby
One of my favorite home versions of the character
Watching this again helped with some as questions I always wondered. How Batman Returns license started with Atari, then Sega and Konami finally retained it. I wondered why didn't Konami didn't have the license during the Genesis/Megadrive run. I didn't know that a limited licensing window could be done like that.
I don't think it started with Atari it was just a license handed out to different developers. For some reason Sega did not get a full license for the game which is really strange considering how big of a company they were at the time
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Only thing I can think off was maybe Sega would be limited to crossforming to other systems et. al. Nintendo???
54:00 What the hell is up with the Amiga music, is this the same song on every level?
Pretty much
👍👍
Thank you
The Kenner figures were the best!
I agree
Captain Commando was made by Capcom.
I love these games but always hated the timers. Timers should be banned from all games lol.
LOLWell they have to make it as difficult as possible on you
Like in the Mario games that has the time if you speed up
The SNES version's the best
Without a doubt 100% agree
Nah best for you
The Batman driving game music don’t even fit the game
I know, it sounds great but it doesn't fit
Who did the Batman toy commercials?! That voice is UNHINGED!
I agree
