The US: "Switzerland! Where did the Communists get those special titanium helmets from?!" *signature Swiss shushing gesture, goes back to count money that suspiciously looks like rubel
I think Switzerland did not commit to not selling those, so it would not have to come up with excuses. Especially to US (why the F would US have the right to ask that anyway). Finland built a good part of Soviet non-military fleet for example. And Soviet tanks were made in large part on imported metalworking machines.

I find it super interesting coming from a medieval reenactment/historical fencing background to hear that the tig helmets had an issue with balance. I've found the exact same problem when using a reconstruction of a mid-14th century great helm, and evidently medieval people did as well, since around 1350-1370 they seem to have started adding a strap to the lower back edge of the more front heavy helmets to connect them to body armour. I can't imagine how terrifying it'd be to have your helmet slide over your eyes in the middle of a gunfight. anyways, great video, thanks for posting!
@@taylorbennion3706 That's why people often fought with visors open, you know, to actually see stuff. The memoirs of Alpha members about the operation 333 that kicked off the Afghanistan war specifically mention Swiss TIG helmets.
