So what should I be watching for while I'm watching this?
Hey man great test! But could you perhaps offer a little extra advice? I have a budget QLED, with which I expect a few ghosting problems. Despite that, I think my 55" panel has performed quite well (similar compared to my 2013 27" Mac screen).
My main question is, to what extent should blur be EXPECTED at 24fps? Particularly in the alien part at the end. A certain amount of blur and ghosting I can take, and as I say I'm happy with my panel, but I just have no idea how much blurring I should expect from the UFO. At the moment, it's kinda making him look like he has one eye!
Is Qled different from OLED?
If the frogs are blurry as they move does that mean motion is crap on the tv?
Hi Samuel this is just an update for you that ive decided to go with the lg c2 as ive seen a few people on you tube having issues with samsung s95b.
Ill let you know how I get on with it.
I currently have the Q80B 65” an the circle & square part at the beginning looked the worst. I still see really bad blur with other tests & just watching movies. Especially the Jay & Silent Bob: Reboot intro….the animation of the characters running from the right to left is so bad! sword or lance movement blurs or creates pixelation…what the heck it’s 120hz & about the best processor you can get for 4k Tvs… Does samsung just suck cause on paper this Tv should rock!

Would be lovely if I knew what it should look like in an ideal setting. Gaming on my TCL 58S470G is mostly fine even at 4k, but movies are terrible. I just realized that the smoothing and other crap put on TVs ruin that so I have turned all that crap off and it improved it... but trying to get it even smoother. Hoping I don't have to take these TVs back.
normally the picture modes help with these. Sport mode puts all the smoothing on. and movie/cinema mode will turn them off
So this should be perfect for gaming?? What are your preference for a TV and the settings for gaming??

My Samsung S95C absolutely failed the moving triangle test. But passed the Alien ship test with flying colors.
