Other collectors have bulk raw commons and uncommons lying in a box... Scott on the other hand just causally has boxes of psa 9-10 first edition base chilling in storage. Well played Scott, well played
I store mine in a safe. It occupies half the closet in one of the rooms. It's orginally a gun safe but with some modifications and added shelfes it's perfect for cards.
Very cool video. Do you essentially use the card saver box in place of the cardboard ends they recommend you put around your card stacks for submission?
Incredible collection, will definitely have to think about safe and bank vault. Unfortunate with the bank vault is that they are harder to see personally. :/
How do you handle shipping? Do you send it next day delivery? Do you send multiple cards at one time in one package? Also what about insurance on the card? How much insurance do you put on the card? and about how long does it take to get the card graded and come back to you
I'm too paranoid to have my cards graded. We're only human and as humans we have a tendency to do bad deeds like switch out someone's card and replace it with a lower quality that's not noticeable.
I am scared to get cards graded to, but not the same reason as you. My fear is that I send one of my favorite cards and it gets lost or stolen in the mail
WOW, Like the channel man keep it up. You did a very good job of Clearly describing the pro's and Con's of why you do what you do and other possible options. Thanks for sharing man.
Good Question! Typically these boxes in the video sit in storage without any activity. For boxes that I use for ebay items and such, the more valuable cards get the sleeves/team bags. But for the ones in storage, since I don't handle them often, if ever, it saves a bit of space not sleeving everything. Also, the large quantity attaches together as a unit, if that makes sense.
Recently came across your channel and have been watching a bunch of your videos, keep it up man. I'm loving the type of insight you are giving into the hobby of things I haven't even thought about. I haven't been into Pokemon in years but have recently been into baseball cards and now I've come back to it. I don't really want to get back into collecting Pokemon because I pretty much have everything I want with complete Base, Jungle and Fossil sets but it's interesting to see everything again. I'm going to have to find all my Pokemon cards, hopefully they stayed in pretty good condition in binders all these years. I know I have 1st Edition and shadowless cards. I've heard you mention some stuff about sports cards in your videos. What all do you collect in terms of sports cards?
Have you ever had an issue with mold in a fire proof safe? I’ve considered moving my graded cards in a safe. But I have read from multiple sources that mold can occur.
Very useful information. It's a good idea to have a bank vault like you said because you don't want to have your assets all in one place because you never know what can happen to them (eg. maybe a fire in your home) It's a good idea to disperse them like you said. Great advice. :)
Thank you I was having trouble putting those in sleeves. If I may ask you about psa submission specifically, I’m having trouble sending mine out, I watched a whole video on how to and printed and placed the little bar code that doesn’t say submission on the box, along with printing the address on the box but my mail lady said she couldn’t take it because there’s no postage, was I supposed to print something else out? I asked a second person who’s as a mail lady also and she said the same thing.
Hi, I am brand new at grading. Got my first batch of cards back, and looking to start a personal collection. Can you provide some links as to the items you are showing in this video, as well as other suggestions you may have? Thanks!
Hey man so right now for my first edition bulk I'm just taking the standard route of slapping them in penny sleeves and putting them into one of those heavy duty binders. Would you store your bulk in any other way, or do you have your own method of storing vintage bulk (if you do that at all)? I'm also in the middle of college right now so I'd rather not start sending in anything to psa just yet.
hey smpratte, I was wondering what you thought about the level of PSA 10 Grading these days - seem to be seeing a lot of cards going as PSA 10s on ebay these days but I see quite a few imperfections on them?
Ive been curious, are the soft card sleeves mandatory as well? I have been using ultra pro clear sleeves because i prefer having a bit more of a solid sleeve, but does this cause an issue because of the trade mark symbol in the bottom corner?
Hey I have a important question. Can you use the tighter soft sleves, not the ones you were using, like the clear soft sleves you can buy for like 2 bucks at v-stock
Thank you for this video, I just got into Pokemon a year ago when my daughter wanted a booster pack and we've both been addicted since then. I watch your videos all the time and they are very helpful. I have a question, we have some cards we want to get graded right now but with all the backups with PSA and the low availability of card saver 1's is there anything else I can do? Also is Beckett a better option right now and what do you think of SGC grading? Thank you.
if you want to get them graded for future worth deffo go with PSA but if you just want them for a collection just send the to beckett as they dont hold there value as good
are the going to be graded card obligated to be in the card sleeve saver or what ever was the name ? ( the nightmare thingy you spoke about sleeve lol ) I wanna send cards but just in regular sleeve isent that a great option ?? ty .
Do you have the distribution numbers or the print run numbers of sets to compare somewhat apples to apples? I'm sure that's a whole video in and of itself.
Are Ultra Pro Semi Rigids fine to use or does it have to be the Card Saver one? Just bought some and realized they are the semi rigids one but they don't look any different than the Card Saver sleeves.
i have some topps series 2 packs from of course pokemon and they are all sticky like really sticky , do you have any idea how can i separate em without destroying all ? ty .
this is an example : lets say i opened a pack 20 years ago , contained a holo blastoise , that blastoise is actually a psa 10 non graded 20 years ago , but is extremely well stored , 20 years later , i send that blastoise to psa , can they give me a psa 10 for that blastoise ? or just the fact that it got stored for 20 years , even in really really good conditions the grade will decrease because of the card was out for too long from the pack or the card has been in contact with air for 20 years , anyway i think you get it , ty .
Any chance you have a bgs card? In just asking because I buy graded cards on Ebay which are all BGS. I wanted to know how a psa and bgs card would stack together in a storage box. Would they be even or would it be uneven in how they fit together
He just followed his passion, no matter what people thought. No matter how they may have even mocked him back in the days after the initial pokemania. His persistent did pay off, indeed.
how much does it cost per card to submit in a bulk order? let’s say 400 cards, I have heard of people getting the prices as low as $5.75 is that often. I want to become a member in the next three months and I’m trying to pay that amount is that possible???
Hi mate, I’d like to submit maybe like 1000 cards. Obviously worried about going missing or a rushed grade... Not sure if that’s a thing. But do you think I should perhaps send in 200 at a time? And do I need a membership to do so? Also, do I need to manually do anything regarding insurance with each card or do they just get the lot and get grading? Any help would be great. Thanks
ShawnTD PSA is just the standard for Pokemon, just like how Beckett is the standard for Magic The Gathering. Thus, PSA cards tend to sell for more. I could be wrong, but I think it's because PSA started accepting Pokemon Cards before Beckett.

Why do you hog so much of the sought after cards? You raise the price and don't allow many other people to have them while they are just your duplicates
Ok but even tho they are very valuable who's to know if anyone will actually pay for it? They are only worth anything if someone will actually have the money and will to buy them just sayin its risky putting all hope in your cards
Other collectors have bulk raw commons and uncommons lying in a box... Scott on the other hand just causally has boxes of psa 9-10 first edition base chilling in storage. Well played Scott, well played
Finally a guide about PSA. Thank you for your time to make this. Peace.
That black box has over $1m of cards in it now lmao. Crazy times going back and watching old videos of the hobby
1m? more like 10m . only the kangaskan is like 1/2 mil psa 10
I store mine in a safe. It occupies half the closet in one of the rooms. It's orginally a gun safe but with some modifications and added shelfes it's perfect for cards.
Alright the video I was waiting for! 😀... been really busy from buying anything but I'm almost ready to throw down again soon!
I don't think I listened to half the video. Too caught up in the cards in the black box! 0_0Pocket monster gold
I put my submissions in Super Nintendo Cartridge protective cases, they hold around 25 card savers and are the perfect shape to keep them safe
Very good sound technique without damaging the top edge. Thanks for sharing!
Very cool video. Do you essentially use the card saver box in place of the cardboard ends they recommend you put around your card stacks for submission?
just became a patreon so pumped to help the channel

Wowzers! The price on that Kangaskhan trophy card in 2020.
I'm too paranoid to have my cards graded. We're only human and as humans we have a tendency to do bad deeds like switch out someone's card and replace it with a lower quality that's not noticeable.
the world is a shady place indeed

Card savers are like gold dust in Europe. Graded gem just bought out grade fit for us. Heroes.
What brand soft sleeve are you using?
Was surprised you don't use PFI PSA sleeves on your GM10 treasures. Overkill?
Paul Cattrone Yeah I personally use PFI sleeves for my PSA cards but I can see how some might think it's overkill. :/

Because of you I am starting collecting psa sir but its expensive I live in Asia nonetheless great insight as usual sir!
TrgTrooper ok sir!
Do you think you could make a video on your middle man service? Definitely interested!
That man right here is a millionaire right now
Where did you get the black PSA storage case? That thing is sweet!
Never made a submissin but looking to get a ton of my vintage cards graded. Thanks for the video!
How does Cardboard Gold compare to UltraPro, in your opinion?
Scissor me timbers. 😂😂💚 gotta love south park

Can you use Top Loaders Instead, and do you have to use regular penny sleeves or can you use the ones you get from ETB’s

How can you spend so much money in many different card games? Yugioh, pokemon, magic, sports.......what is your work?
"Probably Magic the Gathering artist for sure..." Mitsuhiro Arita is an MTG artist?
Lots of those PSA labels are crinkled with what looks to be water damage. This means the cards have also been exposed. Not good. :(
I’m willing to buy all of this from you at 2018 prices. Please let me know. 😂
