With Tsunami hating prophecies, there’s actually even more that could raise the tension. Let me set the scene. Tsunami just finds out about the lost prophecy and goes to a rant snd mentions Morrowseer (I’d be surprised if he doesn’t come up on the topic of prophecies), then Qibli might chip in (from being with Thorn for a while he’s definitely heard a few Morrowseer related rants from her… plus the wanted posters). If the gang finds out about Moon being Morrowseer’s daughter then we’d get some interesting scenes…
Oh my gosh YES! I completely forgot about the Moon ,Morrowseer thing but that will definitely cause problems.

@@LunaRealized Yh, I think it has something to do with Tui’s preferred writing style. She’s a pantser. Which, don’t get me wrong is a totally valid style (heck I’m a pantser too), but it has its weaknesses, like it’s much easier to write yourself into a corner, which we saw with animus magic, among other things. I personally didn’t mind the Dangerous Gift, I’ve recently reread it so it’s still fresh in my mind, but I can see the flaws... and the filler aspects

@@rxiniicottage trash. The inclusion of humans into the story ruined the entire thing for me, but I did like the psychological terror during the Othermind exposition scene
I have some theories of what might/Hope will happen in book 15:
-Raven will create a resistance group and form an alliance with the Secret Stealth Team
-A human in the resistance will recognize Cricket, as he’s the scavenger they found in book 11/The human Blue, Cricket, and Swordtail found was Vole and he recognizes them later on
-Luna at one point will be forced to fight Blue and/or Swordtail
-The little tree in Cricket’s terrarium is the cure to the Breath of Evil
-Sundew (and likely others) will be controlled by the Othermind at one point
-Pantalan dragons who wish to live in Pyrrhia afterwards will settle in the abandoned NightWing Kingdom from Darkstalker’s time
That would explain the tree destroying! It’s more than being power hungry!

I personally thought that the tree would be used after they defeated the breath of evil, they'd plant it as a symbol of peace and so that pantala can once away be covered in the forests that existed before queen wasp.

My own thoughts:
-Yeah Moon being confused for Clearsight is probably going to happen
-I'm not really one for Umber and Sora appearing due to the plot literally needing to warp and shift around just to fit them. Them appearing would feel really off in my opinion.
-The hole is most definitely going to be a place where they go to. I always knew it was an important place since it's literally right there and clearly visible on the map
-I'll bet real money that Sky will do something that manages to get them all into danger. It seems wayyy too likely for him to accidentally attract attention to the group
-I think that Raven would have a friend who's the NB rep
-I really, REALLY want Wasp to die, even if she's one of my favorite villains. I've seen people say that she could have a redemption arc and *noooooooo* ...
-I'm pretty sure that Bullfrog and Tsunami will die. Bullfrog and Pineapple were originally the two I'm most confident in dying, but since it came out that Pineapple is dating Jambu, he's probably not going to die
-The green thing that Cricket made in TLC *could* be linked to the Othermind, but I really hope it's not the cure

I dont really want tsunami moon or bullfrog to die. for bullfrog, his death would mean the rest of the secret stealth team should probably die too, or atleast some characters. I cant really see tui killing just him. moon is a fan favourite, and tui has been seen to kill off those. and tsunami has similar reasons to moon, and unlike in warriors in wof tui doesnt seem to like killing off main characters

Those theories are crazy, I hadn't even thought of some of them before! I would definitely love a scene with zombie Sundew, Cricket and Luna fighting their relatives, and Moon listening to the mind-controlled HiveWings's thoughts.
Also, I completely understand why Tui included Pineapple and Bullfrog from a writing perspective: Simply because you can't have a cast with all the same characters. Seriously, it would be boring for the finale to just be with the exact same characters we've seen before, and there has to be *someone* new to add to the mix. I guarantee that is the reason why she chose two random dragons to be apart of that. I've noticed that new characters being added to the lineup has seriously been lacking in arc three, so hopefully these new ones are interesting!
However, I really don't think Clearsight knowing about the Othermind was true. It would be a lame twist, especially because Tui would be breaking her own rule that seers can only see up to a certain point in the future. You could say that maybe it was around back then, but do we really know? We know that the Othermind and the abyss have been around for centuries, not thousands of years. It just wouldn't make sense.
I have a theory for who is going to die: Cricket. It's pretty well known at this point that Luna really dislikes Cricket simply because she is a HiveWing, but I think the two of them will bond over the course of the book. However, in the end, Cricket will sacrifice herself and ultimately lose her life in the process. Luna would be devastated, and forever regret doubting Cricket and her love for the SilkWings. When Blue and the others get out of the Othermind's control, Blue will ask "Where's Cricket?" just to be met with a tearful Luna and no Cricket to greet him. I genuinely think this has the potential to be the saddest scene in Wings of Fire.
at the same time, I think tui said in an interview she wasnt going to kill of pov wof characters unlike in warriors. And my biggest worry is the prophecy becoming 'face a great evil with talons united or none of the tribes will survive except pineapple and bullfrog they can go somewhere else and arent essential to the plot at all'
Poor Blue! He first loses Luna, gets her back, then she is gone again, then he loses both Luna and Cricket because of the mind control, then loses, Cricket forever. That is sad! Great Idea I would totally cry but love the scene (I love sad scenes for some reason lol 😭)
The Moon pretending to be Clearsight theory is…I don’t know how to describe it, but dragons calling Moon Clearsight just makes my blood boil for reasons I will not explain because now is not the time to release my hate of Señorita Perfecta Moonwatcher. I personally just really hope that doesn’t happen, because I fully believe that Moon and Clearsight are two separate dragons. Reincarnation is cool, but I don’t think that’s the case for these two.

In the same AMA, she also mentioned that “something shocking” will happen in the book, when asked about killing off characters, so definitely someone is going to die

@@thenyan3095 i honestly dont like the plot of warriors and i think a few too many characters die because of the sole reason that they need it so the next character can do something special, i enjoy wof having a similar style but being different in a few ways. I would like wof and warriors to remain different, and its also worth considering how wof has a lot of younger readers compared to warriors, atleast from what ive seen

What if Bumblebee is Wasp's daughter?
Both have striped patterns for their scales (bumblebee's are gold stripes on black, wasp is the opposite), and Bumblebee was labeled 'orphan'. I saw it as a joke theory on the now-defunct wiki forums but... what if it's true?

also, another thing I noticed: Jerboa's spell said, "dragons ALIVE TODAY" and "CURRENT" stuff like that, so the next generation could have animus powers... unless the spell got rid of the animus genetics and ability to pass it on to their offspring, but I don't think it would
I have the French version and it says: No more animus spells will function. That means even if an animus is born, they won’t be able to cast anything. But maybe the translation isn’t accurate to the of text

I heard a few rumours about sunny getting a mystery partner, and I think it’s gonna be Mandrake. He & Sunny seem like they’d get along, and dragons both underestimate them. Another theory of mine is that even if wasp dies/her reign ends, the hivewings will still be horrible to the silk wings. Wasp is definitely a evil queen, but the queens before her were too. In book 12 Lady Scarab says the her great great grandmother was a horror show, & that the hivewings have been lying about the Book Of Clearsight for centuries.

My main three theories about the book are that
1. Lady Scarab is gonna die or at least be disabled in some way (like lose a wing or her sight or something similar) I mean she is mentor character and one of the only dragons that remember what Pantala used to be like
2. Either Lady Scarab or more likely Lady Jewel is gonna be the next queen of the hive wings. I have heard the theory that Cricket or another part of her family will be queen but that just doesn’t make sense to me because not only is it shown that Cricket is more of the smart person then the leader but it is mentioned a few times in hive queen that Scarab wants Jewel to be the next queen
3. Cricket is gonna be the next librarian or whatever role it turns into, hopefully the current librarian doesn’t die as she seems like she has quite a bit of potential but maybe she either retires so she can live her life or takes Cricket under her wing so Cricket can achieve her dream of being the librarian

The last theory about Tsunami caught me so off guard that I cried. This may be a common theory in the Wings of Fire fandom, but I've been having a bit of a break from it so this was a lovely reminder of what WoF content creator fan theories can be like.

I just got the book in Tuesday! Excited to look if any theories are correct. Also, I’m pretty sure I got it early. I ordered a pre-order, and I won’t spoil anything until it has been released for a few days!

Putting down my prediction for the plot:
Part 1 will be getting to the mouth of the cave
Part 2 will be going down into the cave and visiting the village
Part 3 will be an extended boss fight with the Othermind.
Also: They will actually explain what "Wings of Fire" means. That's something that always bothered me about the first arc.
I think one thing done well is that they DONT say explicitly what the 'wings of fire' is. it's a fake prophecy that just happened to have parts come true, there's no reason for the whole thing to happen
If I'm correct wings of fire refers to the skywing egg from the false prophecy.
I think it's referring to the Eye of Onyx. Think about it. It's the color of fire on some parts, it's got wings, and in the first prophecy, one of the verses is "One (of the SandWing sisters) will have the power of wings of fire" meaning that she'll have power over the Eye and the SandWings.
I predict the other mind is going to be a dragon. I have a lot of theories on what dragon it will be but it will definitely be shocking.
I agree with Eclipse but what I was thinking in the Abyss since Hawthorn had some Breath of Evil pieces already even before he was controlled. So the Breath of Evil had to be at the surface somewhere like Queen Wasp's garden. But on to my idea, It is a great coincidence that the Breath of Evil is in the Abyss but Tui T mentioned that she was interested in a Spider Wing tribe. That's when i began to think.. To think that the Spider wings where hidden underground from the Leaf, Hive, and Silk wings. But how? In Clear sights book it only mentioned that Hive wings and Silk wings where created out of the Beetle Wings, I think in that same book that it mentioned some actual hybrids, I could be wrong. Or they could have been their before the Leaf wings and Beetles wing got there are exterminated the Breath of Evil and the Spider Wings where living under ground ever since. And they could be under ground waiting to attack/sacrifice anything that comes down.

1. Umber and Sora NEED to come back
2. Tui probably put Bullfrog to kill someone off, but like you said, he might be important
3. Tui needs to do something about Umber being gay. Right now, all we got is "Qibli's so handsome" and nothing else. If Tui throws it out the window, we miss vital representation and it's setup with *no* payoff.

The fact Pineapple needs someone else for the fans to care for him is pretty bad. I like dragons being their own dragons and being likeable or hateable not because who they are close to, but who they are as a dragon.

I have no problem with Pineapple x Jambu, but I wish people didn't care about him just because of that. He is more than Jambu's partner. I love you no matter what, Pineapple, do not fear, you will have an admirer who admires you for you rather than your relationship.

I can kind of see the Scavengers controlling the othermind, but I'd be fine if that's not the case. I think they at least have a hand in creating it though.

I think one of the reasons why the it might be right that the scavengers have some relation or even control the other mind is the end of the book dragon slayer, the king wanted Ryn? rain??? I can't remember her name, but he wanted her and sky so he could control the dragons. so maybe the other mind was created because of the issue with Ryn. and they somehow copy/pasted her ability which created the other mind which lead to conflict.
I wish they didn't have to add Bullfrog and Pineapple so late.
They could've had an already established character like Jambu or Mangrove has the Rainwing Rep and Sora has the Mudwing Rep. Or they could have just havethem appear be cut off in book 15 possibly in the Prologue.
