World Champion Julian Alaphilippe of Deceuninck-Quickstep took another victory at the 2021 Fleche Wallonne on Wednesday after pre-race favorite Primoz Roglic of Team Jumbo-Visma attacked late on the final climb of the Mur de Huy, but was eventually overpowered by the Frenchman in the final meters of the race.

How many times do we need to teach you this lesson old man!? NO SPOILERS IN THE TITLE!
Exactly. They are terrible about it.
It's a privilege to watch these two in the same race
3rd for Valverde at 41 years of age. That's unbelievable!
it really is insane
🙃
This is how he won/ lost 2 liege- bastogne - liege... could have been a legend...
Il est vraiment bon notre courreur français 🇨🇵🇨🇵
Primos said : “See you in the ... ow, wait”, and than Juju concluded: “In the douches, brow”
” then ” Juju concluded 😉
Make a t-shirt of "C U in the douches" and see how many people ask what that means..
I hope this was a joke, as Primoz simply attacked too early. He wasn't intentionally slowing down, as he had probably used his main energy until the last 100m.
@@Dance_of_a_tree_called_life 😬😳 bad ENG
@@tonybaihao4178 watch again from 3 min. at ~3:04/3:05 you can clearly see that he had let up and starts his sprint again when he notices Alaphilippe. at ~3:20 you see a different view and can see him grit his teeth when he starts his sprint. he let up too early.
Wish the result wasn't in the video description for all of us who can't watch it live....
watching this with headphones is more painful than going up the mur d'huy
Ahhh, I knew it was too good to last. FloBikes recently put up a video that DIDN'T have a spoiler in the title, but here they have already reverted. Sigh. At least I got to see this on another channel, without a spoiler, before this video showed up on my recommended list. Maybe just time to block FloBikes completely, which is probably not what they want people to do.
Roglic thought he had that won. You could tell when he saw Julian, he was totally surprised. Julian is incredible to watch !!
Wow I'm impressed! He didn't give up and just caught him. And wow flow bikes with an exciting clip!
Extraordinaire champion bravo Julian
I feel like judging by PR's reaction as JA came past (head check about 60m out), PR had no idea that JA was in his wheel.
It does look like he kinda threw the win there
Yeah, agree with you. Great finish by JA.
It definitely looks like he let up on his pace right before he got caught, and he definitely looked surprised than Julian was there
But do you feel Roglic had stopped his effort before the line ? He did attack too early.
@@tonybaihao4178 No, but he accellerated again once he noticed Alaphillipe, meaning that he must have left at least a tiny bit in the tank
Nice spoiler in the title. Maybe you could reconsider the style of titles you use
Bravo Julian !

Happy birthday Alan. God bless you!
The spoiler titles are seriously so annoying
Probably the only time I’ve ever seen Roglic in his career get caught on this type of finish. Julian was in that world champ condition at the time. Also Roglic adapted from this and almost always goes later now with 200 meters.
Like the commentator said, 'you have to time this to absolute perfection': 10 metres behind, 300 to go, JA says it's time !!
Hey Flobikes, can you PLEASE not post obvious results on your feed!!!!??????? Some of us watch replays after the race.
For those complaining about the title.. it’s called SEO, basically getting traffic to their videos that may result in new paying subscribers. In other words they don’t care about freeloaders like us... my 2cents
At least JA waited til he passed the line to celebrate this time!
not really
Yes, not really, but he had secured his win before and was closer to the line when starting to celebrate.
Julian looking strong this year!!
This year? Lol
Honestly didnt expect him to win, he wasnt strong this year many times, but gg for him great victory
Why spoil it with the title!? Dislike
Stop putting spoilers in the title!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Flies?
Nice win by Julian, but "flies past"? Come on.
You're right... he OBLITERATED Roglic like he was standing still!
@@TunaTheMiner Were we watching the same race? It looked as if he only got the advantage because Roglic seemed to let go
Maybe the 11% slope has an incidence.
Yeah, more like crawled past Roglic with his last strenght....
They came in the same time to finish line. They beat all time record of Valverde from 2014 by 1sek
It’s not over until your wheels passed the finish line. The French man always bring a bag of tricks.
Bravo loulou 👍
Fantastic Race!!! Every bit as good as AGR!!
here's come Alaphilippe
Not even Roglic can beat a top classics specialist, except maybe on a good day. Go Alaphilippe!
Roglic lost because he started the attack too early
@@rodrigoescobar8137 Maybe he lost cause he couldn't win
He's like, "I'm wearing the rainbow!"
FLOooooBoys, still learning. Going to have to hide your channel.
Como me alegra la Victoria de Alaphilippe, un guerrero, un varón y un gran ciclista con mucho carisma, lejos del orgullo prepotente de Roglic 👍⚡👏
Roglic just went a little bit to early.
of course, roglic clearly went off too early, while alaphilippe was drafting behind him prior to the final sprint .. sprints are won not necessarily by the strongest, but by the smartest rider
Not for anything but these videos are posted “hours” after the results are in. If you are waiting to find out who won from this then you are just not paying attention!
Wtf machine is Lulu, f**ing best of the world!
most exciting rider yay
And Valverde 3rd at 40 years old almost 41 is not the best ??
No Problem, Roglic to win the next one :)
If he has learned classics strategies. Let's see if he can confirm tomorrow.
Is he on the Juice. Must have blended beets with foie gras. A Paul Bocuse classic
seems ja is the a true legend now unstoptable
superb
Those rainbow bands🌈...that rainbow bike 🚴♂️
Spoilers in the title!!! Well done. 😕
Roglic’s battery was too weak lol
Now that was cool! Roglic did not play his great play well. Two great riders
Jullian learned from his previous mistake I see. Well done
Celebrating his win before the line ? Or were you ironic about Julian ? Of course, no offense, if you are serious, thank you for pointing it out.
Valverde:40 años.El Domingo cumple 41!!!
Oui, il est très impressionnant ! Félicitations.
Rim Brakes FTW!!!
"Damn no dude is on kids safety brakes lol ( discs)**
JA has discs.
@@frankburn6312 You can clearly see that bike is Rim brakes not disc on the aerial overview will have to recheck it again. Lmao damn they are discs!!

That's the last straw, Im blocking this spoiler channel
That was the last straw. Told RUclips to stop recommending me your videos.
BOOOM
Valverde though!
Flies past? Did you watch the list 50 meters. Spoiler in the title? Do you realize that this will prevent anyone from subscribing to your channel as this reflects on how your coverage will be.
Warren barguil 5th🤙👍👍
Allaphilipe got his revenge good for him
JA is one sick puppy
If there's one guy I wouldn't wanna race against, it would be julian
sweet revange
Roglic went 200m too early.
Even the rainbow curse takes a rest day
@@tonybaihao4178 I'm pretty sure I saw sagan get hit by a motor bike while wearing the rainbow jersey. Btw the curse is older than Sagan and older than you
@@tonybaihao4178 nahh. You've put be in a trolling mood now.
@@tonybaihao4178 ok good. My plan worked
Didn't exactly look like he flew past him!
Woo😮
Valverde 3rd!
Forse Roglic non si è accorto che Lulu stava arrivando e non è riuscito a rilanciare comunque gli restituisce la beffa della Liegi 1:1. 2 grandi campioni
Never celebrate too early
Or do not underestimate others.
Hi
Roglic is a great rider but his turbo is not on par with the elites in his cat.
Roglič still the best for me...and didn't really fly past lol just won by a bit. Go Rogla 💪
On that gradient, it was flyin’
What a SPOILER damm🤦♂️😀
Roglic sat up......... deserved that loss after writing off Aliphilipe
If Roglic had looked behind him once, he would have won. He clearly still had an acceleration in him.
Then why couldn't he stop JA from going past him? He clearly didn't have anything left in the tank
Exactly as Pro said, but he mainly lost because he attacked too early.
@@tonybaihao4178 I don't know if primoz can (to this day) win against JA on this kind of superhard steep climb effort. JA seems to have a better acceleration (and to be one of the best with WDP) and I tend to believe that Primoz was right trying to launch sooner...
@@ProEFESDEZ You do have a point there. I would still say Roglic launched at least 50 m too early, since he couldn't hold the same speed coming into the last 100m. So good idea from Roglic, but just a little too early. He will have learned his lesson, just like Julian at Liège last year.
No le funciono el motor a roglic
Primoz thought he had it won, simple he fucked up
Primož let him win...
Bravo Primož...
😂😂😂😂
Roglic was strong but his attack was precocious... It was his first participation...
If Roglic was still riding Bianchi it would’ve been a different outcome
Fleche Wallonne is the most predictable and therefore the least interesting Classic. In the last eight editions there have been only three different winners and one of those was a one-timer in Hirschi. This year's played out as almost a carbon copy of 2019. Love the Huy as a climb though, just not a finishing one. Maybe considering moving the finish a few kilometers past it like they did with Milan San Remo. Probably make for a better race.
So you like the races being all the same.
@@frv84 Besides demonstrating why trying to comment on RUclips with any type of substance is such a profoundly stupid thing to do, if you are asking if I prefer an exciting track race to a dull road race of which the winner is almost predetermined then, yes.
