Having this type
Of space helps with not over consuming and buying too much “stuff”. I like it!
I think it's nice when it's a choice. This is all you can afford on average income, this is really bad.
@@superlynniethat’s subjective. Whats your definition of average income? What’s the cost of real estate/rent where you live? Whether average or high income earner, why would this be considered really bad?
personally, i love how compact the flat is bc every surface is used properly. the natural light is definitely a big plus!!
Yesss the big window makes a world of a difference for sure!
Careful about keeping your mattress directly on the floor. They need airflow, so mold will develop underneath if you sleep on it directly on the floor.
Yea it would be good if she can place a wooden tatami deck beneath the matress
Your smile and how your eyes smile is just so beautiful, you actually radiate such positive vibes. The apartment is cute and I like how you have everything thought through yet somehow you still have quite lots of light and area to move freely. Hope everything goes well for you🩷
Thank you so much for your kind words!❤️
I love it. If you're not very rich it's now hard to get a reasonably sized flat in places like London and Hong Kong. I lived in a studio flat for years. I organised/decorated it well (thanks IKEA), it was well-located for work and affordable. And most importantly, I was very happy there.
Yes IKEA for the win 🙌
Ikea is so expensive in my country :(
@@maryamm_7 The same everywhere now. When I moved you could afford shelves, cupboards, a mattress (never again) in one trip without feeling faint. At some point they seem to have seriously whacked up their prices. Quality still the same though. Shame.
@@user-xf2vf9wn5jnope it’s not the same everywhere. you’re entitled to say this. in some countries shopping at ikea costs a whole years wage.
@@user-gi8ce8rp3x In the UK it's not quite a whole year's wages yet. But the recent increases on some items have been shockingly steep.
As a chronic claustrophobic, this is my worst nightmare. You are lovely for staying you are "so lucky" and grateful but there's NOTHING wrong with wanting better for yourself... esp living standards.
You make do with what you can but it definitely could be better 😂
Well I loved it! You have what you need and you’re safe! That’s very important for a young women, best of luck in the new place!!
Thank you for the lovely comment and encouragement 🥰
Trust me Thiss is reallyy enough for introverts guyss🤧🤧
🫢
I was thinking that. I’m an introvert and this is perfect for me
I'm an introvert and I would like more space than that
As a local Hong Konger, I can tell this subdivided flat is “quiet” big for living alone. I saw many other subdivided flats were smaller than this.
Yep I was pretty lucky to get a space like this
Hey bro, can you tell me what these flats provide, I mean any furniture or anything or just they provide an empty room?
Would be a great help for me.
Please if you tell me more about these flats.
@@ritvizi_ 99% just an empty room BUT “landlords” would provide air con & electric water heater for showering. U need to buy yr own furniture and other electronics appliances.
Nice space as long as all your necessary needs is within the vicinity of the building❤
Yes I really loved the location of this building so much!
Your iMac wants a clean for sure. And the grey one looks nice too. I have it in blue :) And I would be so claustrophobic in your room but it's quite nice compared to other room tours I saw in Hong Kong that are not for the upper class.
I remember watching your flat hunting in HK video YEAAARRSS ago and talking in your comments when we both had like 100 subscribers. It is so nice to see this pop up on my feed!
omg hi and welcome back! :)
Nice place, so homely. Congratulations to moving to the new place. That monster building many people go there for photos no? I might pop by one of these weekends, I hear there is a arabica near by.
Very eloquent, very nice, subscribed, looking forward to see more, Ty
Lots of bright light coming in and love the white bedsheets! 😊
Yes! Thank you!
I love it Ashley ❤
Although it looks so tiny, also it looks so comfy🥰
Thanks for sharing, you did a very good job on managing everything in place 💓
Thank you for watching!
Thank you for letting us sneak a peek. Great video. ❤
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing. We have some places like this in some cities in the States as well. The landlords are coming under scrutiny though because it’s see. As unsafe for the tenants. Like if there’s a fire or something. You did a great job with the space though. Congrats on your new place! ❤
Thank you for your kind comment 🥰
Nice space!!! I know you’ll make the next space super cute!
Aww thanks so much for your kind words 🥰 I'll try my best haha
U can make better use of space if u raise ur bed up, kind of like bunk bed
yeah, a loft adds a lot of spcae
It's fab, thank you for sharing, I lived in Stanley for a few years. I always wanted to see into one of these high rise blocks, You've done it so good.....sending kisses from London....I have subscribed and will look forward to your journey...😘
Thank you for watching!
We enjoy your every video. We thank you for giving us more knowledge about Hong Kong and we hope to make more videos with more beautiful content. We are following your videos from today. Your every video helps us to make better projects after studying the Hong Kong market.
Thank you for the lovely comment :)
You did a beautiful job. It looks nice!
Thank you 🥰
Your flat is really neat and tidy!! 😘
I lived in the standard flat in Fok Cheong building with my family with max 6 ppl. The flat is very small but cozy. The location is very convenient with few big shopping centres, MTR stations and also the waterfront in Quarry Bay park!
Hope you enjoy your life in HK ❤
Thank you for the sweet comment!
Hi, first of all thank you for introducing us to your apartment. I have the utmost respect for people who can live in confined spaces. The houses remind me of the game Stray, which I love to play.
I've seen amazing reviews of Stray! I shd play it sometime too 👍
I really like the house. Its peaceful , cosy, aesthetic and very well organised . Lots of love❤
Thank you so much 😊
Nice video, I was so curious about it ^^
Hope you enjoyed :))
I love this room ❤for living one person it is a best room ❤
This looks v comfy to me and I think you did the best you could with what you had. Personally, I'd buy a few more uniform boxes for the shelf, so it looks less cluttered but that's the only nit I have to pick.
Thanks for watching :)
u could get a levitated bed that reaches up until that window and put tons of storage underneath. cute apartment btw!!
I definitely considered this but unfortunately the room was too tight to fit a bedframe 🥲
Thanks for sharing!❤
Thanks for watching!
As a French I can say that we’re really not used to this types of big buildings full of people 😮 that is so fascinating for me and also a bit scary haha
But even if it’s small, it’s well organized
It is definitely a very HongKong-esque building for sure. Thanks for watching!
My newest apartment hunting video is now up on my channel! This time we have lots of bigger and better houses so make sure to check it out :)

I love your little tarot collection! c: so cute
🫶
I’d thrive her for sure! I LOVE small space living! My place is 200 sqft (for what would be around 1300 usd (converted), so larger than yours but still small, however I adore it!!!
That's amazing that you found a home you love :))
Thank u!!! Love this vid
Glad you liked it!!
Your such a beautiful lady ,being Independent is not easy but you learned a lot of things being alone and do a lot of what you want to do having a space by your own hope that keep up the good work to achieve your dream . I work in hk when i was 20 years old as a domestic helper i leave there in Kowloon our house also tiny but i enjoy and i have alot of memories in hk i love hk and i miss hk .
Thank you for the support! 💕
I loved it great use of space
Thank you :))
The video started and first thing was.... Aww she is cute ✨🦋
🫣🤭
I love your tiny space. Mine is around twice as yours and due for a renovation. No plans of moving out since a tiny place suits me fine. Got new ideas for the renovation based on your flat. Good luck on your new place. 😊☘️
Thank you and hope your renovations go smoothly :)
Can’t believe smth pretty & cozy like this is inside that bldg, went there last december for our trip and honestly the hype didnt lived to it as I saw it in person huhuhu I’m sorrryyyy and also lost on my way for 4x 😭🤣
I low key agree that there's not much to see haha
Such a beuty girl 😊❤ and also love her smile
Thank you 🥰
Very nice! I probably stend up the bed with some storage unite under that. 😊
Would have loved to do so but I had no space to fit a bed frame haha
Cute cozy and minimal !
🥰
Thank you for sharing. ❤
Thanks for watching!
I always love tiny home !
❤️
You are so cute and pretty
Thank you! ✨
I love your home❤. I like small place so it's very cozy for mee😊😊
Thank you!
@@AshelyKim 😁
Bless your heart you are so adorable. The rice cooker comment made me laugh so hard, it totally caught me off guard. Someone asked what a place this size costs... did you reply? I know you've moved, but I'm curious. ❤
Hi and so sorry for my late reply. Unfortunately I can't reveal the exact price of this house but it was around 5000-6000 HKD :)
I love your apartment! ❤
Thank you!
Well i love this ❤
❤️
I love that you have your own bathroom. Cause I am someone who loves to take long shower. I think I can live here for a few years honestly.
Having your own bathroom is super important for sure 😩
So they took a normal apartment with three rooms and divided it into three apartments to make more money? This is legal? That’s crazy in my opinion!
Welcome to Hong Kong or Asia !!!
Not all places are legally built but this is legal in HK and quite common
It's small but not that bad compared to some awful places in HK. Never been there but i saw some videos about housing crisis especially for people with very low incomes. Your place is nice and clean
Yes there are definitely worse places out there in HK and I'm grateful I found this place 🫢
I have been to the monster building, I was shocked by what I saw. I will suffer from panic attacks everyday 😭😭😭😭
Small n cute 🥰.
It has everything you need
Over the door hook units are sanity savers.
It's a decent room for a student single person really good
👍
1:17 I love your smile..
Though the area is small but house is cute. Love from India 🇮🇳 . Keep it up.
Thanks for watching!
Question about the bathroom: when you shower, doesn't everything get significantly wet? The toilet, the sink etc? How do you manage that? Huge props to you for making the most out of the space you have, btw!
It definitely gets wet everywhere so you just have to move things like toilet paper to a higher shelf and then turn on the ventilator after you're done so the bathroom can dry off :)
I was really looking for this, as i am going to move to hk for a job and mostly i will be outside for working so this is enough for me 🥺
And I really don't want to pay much for renting.
This is really enough for single person 🙂
Glad it was helpful!
Better then I thought it would be
TBH same
I really like a space like this, wanna live there someday T T
honestly wanna live here
Oh, well, you’re so sweet and pretty and you have such a calm voice😘. But seeing this place, I should apreciate more mine’s which I always thought about it that is crowded and narrow. How can you shower there? I can imagine the water going all over the toilet and the sink. And the rent is so expensive for what this room offers😢.
Thank you for your kind comment! Yes the water does go everywhere but you gotta live with what you get 😢
2:10 honestly ASMR perfection 😌🤤
😮
Its so cyberpunk in real live
subscribed this is so cute
Thanks for being here 😌
how much does a flat like this cost?
Trust me this is the perfect room for mee
👍👍
In india we have many houses
That are like this
Youre doing great snd shud be proud of urslef
Thanks for watching!
Cute Nest ❤
It looks pretty decent for a small place. Bathroom's reasonable despite the size, at least your showerhead isnt above the toilet bowl.
The bathroom being this big was definitely a nice surprise 🫢
How does plumbing work since it's originally just 1 unit divided into 3?
I'm not very qualified to answer this question but from my POV, there is a separate electricity and water meter for each flat so each flat only gets charged what they used!
Wow! Your apartment is actually smaller than my kitchen. I can’t imagine living in such a small space. I thought that my apartment was too small for me but after watching your video it made me realize that I’m lucky to live in a rather spacious 2 bedroom apartment. I wonder how come apartments in Hong Kong are usually so small and expensive… there is more space and land to build more properties and make housing more affordable. I hope it will improve soon. Hope you’re able to get a bigger place soon. You are such a lovely person! I have enjoyed watching your video. Please continue doing these videos. ❤❤❤
Thank you for the sweet comment! Hong Kong is really small geographically so naturally all the apartments have to be more crowded and smaller :( The living expenses are crazy here haha
It’s a nice apartment since you are living by yourself.
Yes it's a good space for someone living alone
Make a video of yourself walking from outside of the building to your unit.
I don't know why but I love small spaces. I have a house with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 kitches, 1 living room (for only 2 people) but it's humble. I don't like to clean it haha a lot of work
I can understand that feeling, both definitely have their own advantages :))
My apartment is not much bigger, but less staff. Wanna come and declutter little bit😄
🫢
You are so gorgeous ❤
Thank you!
Atleast she is independent
🫡
I just wanna know how many floors this building had and did it have an elevator? Thinking about waiting for the elevator would probably stress me out😭
I don't actually remember how many floors there was but there are multiple elevators so it wasn't bad!
Wowwww
My 400sqft apartment feels really big now
Livable space
Will i be judged if i say that , i like these kind of places with small rooms ? And it is my dream house ?
To each their own ☺️
It would have made better use of the space to get a bunk bed and put the desk underneath. But you’re moving soon so nvm lol
I did consider having a bunk bed but unfortunately the space was too small to fit a bed frame 😬
I love you ❤❤❤❤
This is better than a hoarder story.
As long as I have a personal bathroom, i can be happy
A personal bathroom is super important for sure
I'll share a little advice. Why not sell your rack (in which u have ur skincare and stuff) and buy a chester drawer. It'll have more space and will look clean and not messy.
I was busy spending money on other things at the time 😌
you are so cute and so confident, i hope you always happy and healthy as seen on this vidio #womensupportwomen ❤
Thank you ❤️
i can already imagine all noise nightmare living in this subdivided flat starting from the loud door closing that would wake you up at night
Thankfully the noise-proofing in this place was great so it was super quiet most of the time :)
i saw a news majority of retired old men and woman living in this called coffin house and thermy said they waited long enough years :( and the rent fee are so expensive.. HK is like my " i want to go to HK " but now i feel sad for the elders
Coffin houses are definitely an issue and reality for some people in HK :(
Is the 100 sq ft include your bathroom or without?
It's including!
You look like SEULGI 😭💗
I'm not sure I see it 🧐
whats the difference between a bed and a mattress? @7:02
I had a mattress on the floor but no bed frame (aka nothing else except the mattress)
Why doesn’t owner just charge a bit more and not split in 3? Curious
I'm assuming because they can get more money this way 😬
