  • I normally take the wheel off the car to make things easier. I was talking to my mechanic and I told him that I could change the sensors without taking the wheels off. He wanted proof. So here it is.

    Thanks Mr. Khan, I’m about to embark on this project myself and your tutorial keeps it relatively simple.

      Breaking the bead is very hard. Life is much simpler with this tool. “Tim” I mentioned in the video is technician at the mechanic shop. He said what I did wasn’t possible. He asked me to make the video.

      Not so simple when you will continuously get the yellow TPMS warning light on your instrument panel. You must program or relearn the newly installed TPMS sensor.

    There is also a torque tool to install the valve core. It is quite fragile and only requires about 5 inch-pounds.

      There is a lot of information to cover. Most of the time I forget to mention the basics. I’ve been doing things for so long, I just got used to doing it without think about it.
      That’s why it’s good that people like you could comments and add useful information.
      My nine years old son saw my video about changing brakes and pointed out that I didn’t explain how to jack up the car and how to remove the wheels. He had a valid point. It never occurred to me that people may not know how to do that.
      On the other hand. If someone doesn’t know how to lift a car and remove wheels, then they should not be working on the brakes. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Now, how are you going to program the new TPMS so that the computer knows where it is located? Do you have a tool for programming the TPMS?

      Yes. I have Autel ts601.

      @@princekhan5063 You need to tell your patrons about having to program or relearn the sensor that they replace. Otherwise, they will think that the job is done when the sensor gets replaced!

      @@princekhan5063 Are you aware that you can only program blank sensors from Autel. You cannot program any blank OEM sensors from anyone else, like those installed new at the factory in a new car and made by anyone other than Autel. As far as I know, Autel does not provide sensors for any factory's car.

    NEVER USE AN IMPACT TOOL TO TIGHTEN THE EXTERNAL NUT THAT HOLDS THE TPMS TO THE WHEEL. THERE IS A SPECIFIC TORQUE TOOL TO PUT THIS NUT ON!

    • @rbmiller3346
      @rbmiller3346 3 года назад

      That is not an impact wrench but rather a cordless drill with adjustable torque.
