Somewhere in the process the designer stopped desiging an apartment (flat) for people to live in and started working on space where six people can spend time and everyone has a room to crash. I am a minimalist, but this place has no fucking soul. The "balcony" looks like an air bridge at an airport or a covered walkway in a new hospital wing.

    • @SamOwenI
      @SamOwenI 3 года назад +9

The reality is, if you have the money to spend on an apartment like this, you will likely replace much of the furniture and decorations to match your tastes. So you can understand the decision to keep things bare. Ultimately, the buyer will be paying for the location and the potential it has.

I lived in this development for 4 years, 2017 to 2021. I was amongst the first people to move in when it started opening up. Two weeks ago my wife and I moved out of the area as it started to feel very overcrowded with people who do not even live there. It turned out to be like Ibiza. Full of drunk people on the stairs of the estate due to the restaurants and pubs surrounding the estate. The whole thing has complety gone down. It's overpriced for such a hotel vibe. It does not feel like a home anymore. I'd never ever buy a flat there. Once the power station will open and the underground, it's going to be worse than Canary Wharf. This penthouse is nothing special, all the flats are literally identical to one another. My 2 bed flat looks exactly like this 6 bed. Anyways, we now moved to Kensington and we absolutely love it. Now that we live here, we keep asking ourselves WTF did we think of wasting 4 years at Battersea Hotel estates because we cannot call it anything else. It's exactly a massive hotel. We love you show by the way. My wife and I are loving some of the homes you are showing us. Xx

So how does the sky garden work? It looks like maybe alternating open areas and glassed in areas? I could hear the wind blowing and they said there was a breeze blowing "with the door open". I love to sit outside on a porch when it rains. So soothing...

Also when will you pop up north to Scotland? Plenty of interesting character houses up here

We have examples of properties sold after our videos, a few that had been on the market for a while before we went to them too 🙏🏼 Not sure when we will go to Scotland as it’s a very long drive, we’d need to have a few really good ones booked in!

No Peloton bike? I thought that was standaaad these days, as Keith Lemon would say. Are they building another building in front of this one which will block the river views from the balcony?

For that kind of outlay, I'd want a large, wide and long outdoor terrace where I could actually put furniture. Like another contributor remarked, the 'winter garden' resembles an office corridor. Seen a lot better for half the price of that place.

An actually nice modern apartment in the UK!
Our modern places seem so depressing and small, it's really lovely to see a decent sized and fresh modern apartment.
The master was a bit small for the price though, it probably should have had a larger walk in wardrobe.
Are you sticking with a 3rd person for the camera work or is that just a short term thing?

@@snaptrap723 it’s a lot of different things for me.
      - their energy
      - the pacing of the video
      - the way Matt has to be reminded about the floor plan
      - the way Summer pronounces the appliance names.
I just prefer their videos best.

Nearly £10 million for 5 moderately sized bedrooms & what’s basically a giant outside hallway. Just because it’s got a view a shit brown river. London is batshit crazy, this is twice the price of The Knoll! It might be nearer 3 times since they dropped the price on The Knoll.

Shropshire is my husband’s favourite county in England. He’s British and I’m Filipina (Philippines) and we are currently living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We plan to retire in the UK in two years’ time. Keep up the good work. You two look so adorable, I love that you are both so natural and so funny at times. When I watch you, you make me miss my gorgeous boys who are all in the UK - three of them. Anyway, more power and success to you both!! ❤️
