it is especially mad because 1,000 a week can you get you an amazing victorian flat/house even in equally luxurious areas? its literally just paying for the building, v odd.
I used to work at the power station in the 50's, its a shame they shut it down because a lot of good friends lost their jobs but its strange to see it all fancied up nowadays
@andyhall7032 They could have converted the old station into a factory for making solar panels or Tesla wall batteries, or anything renewable. Converting it to luxury flats affordable only for the wealthy -or overseas money launderers- was only for greed.
So many of these apartments have little to no extra storage - I've lived in some and it becomes very difficult to live if you have hobbies or equipment of any kind. So you've go to live very light or have storage somewhere (which I had to do). If you're single or a young couple, these are great, the 2nd bedroom can be the storage/office, but the gyms and lounges are great.
I refuse to buy any property that directly overlooks other properties- it's an immediate deal breaker. Tenants hate that sort of view; you end up having to compromise on the rent.
I live in an Edwardian conversion in London and I love the character elements of it. High ceilings and big rooms but no lift (lots of stairs which I guess is good for me!) and no gym facilities of course! Hard to have it all in London unless you are mega rich
Matt - your spot on in an area like battseea you will get plenty of space in the older builds. It's a great area that I grew up in with so much to do on your door step. I would advise to explore the area more including queen's Town Road which is basically down the road from where you guys where and the other surrounding parts
Great apartment tours and cool to see you in the Model 3 Tesla again. Also LOVED that Porsche Taycan Matt walked past. Having said that are you missing the sun, sand and surf of the Gold Coast yet? Can't beat those Goldie beach front sunrises too! 😉
I don't understand why kitchen have no door to the living room ? I have lived in such setup. There is always smell from kitchen when I am cooking something and also lighting is the same. When I am working, I want different lighting in the work area and different mode in kitchen. I am not a potential customer, just wonder why people fancy that kind of design.
Not my cup of tea as far as buildings go. As Matt said looks like a uni campus and is quite bleak. Some of the rooms were on the small side. Views were mainly good with lots of light. Prices compared to NYC were surprisingly good for new builds.
I must get up to Battersea, I remember it from way back and from what I have seen on the regeneration so far, looks like a really cool part of London, good to see you back in the UK.
You need a fairly substantial income to swing 5k£ a month rent. For a modest apartment. Something like 160k$ minimum, just to live in a small apartment. And blow all your money... pretty bad financial decision basically :) Big mistake to preserve old industrial stuff but most seems to be new construction so nothing major lost yet.
Hi guys. Tom said 8 billion development and you guys said 1 billion. Just checking. Then. That cloud is Voldemort coming in LOL. Great video as always!!!!! Travelled from Victoria to Clalpham Junction for 2 years and taking train past the power station. Thanks guys
I've lived in what is now called 'Nine Elms' for 25 years and i can't imagine living anywhere else, so it was fasciniating to see you in my neighbourhood. Prospect House at the Power Station is the ugliest building. All those new apartment buldings look mismatched.
I am moving to this area from Canary Wharf. It’s sad that most of these new buildings look the same: sterile , sometimes not very functional and storage and living space is very limited for the asking price despite the advertised amplitude . These prices are just inflated and then they say: “location, location”. please , with that money just buy a house and renovate it 😎
If you were a Dwaft or midget, then the first two apartments would be ok , if you didn't mind getting RIP off and didn't have a car . If you were a perv , you could look at other people or they could look at you too . Who in they right mind would want to live in a box ? Not to mention the ridiculous rent . Just crazy
battersea is so over priced and your not exactly paying for privacy. street level is nice. nice elms is ok but area a bit boring. And can we stop calling those wall things Kitchens.. Theyre corners with a cooker :) The council flats out the window down below have better kitchens :) and also the crazy thing in new build SERVICE CHARGES I saw one with 2000-3000 / year service charge. not to mention those idiots in Nine elms moaning about the cost of running a swimming pool in the sky in winter during an electricity price crisis :)
I can't believe anyone would pay those prices for such cold, ugly boxes overlooking other cold, ugly boxes. If they do then it's obvious humanity has gone mad and we didn't even notice it.
I understand the concept of location, location, location but £6k a month rent for a 3 bed apartment/flat is insane
And the price to buy. Ffs. Madness.

yeah shame they don't burn all that coal anymore. the smoke looked so cool out those stacks.
@@andyhall7032 hahha
How are u still alive
Bruh how old are u now😂

Over a thousand per week a joke. No wonder they are empty. No privacy, small and like going back to University. Nasty

Great presenting as always. The departments were so small though..and of course very expensive. Also, spot on Matt, it's like a college campus.
the lack of parking, especially given the travel you do with the vlogs, i`d see that as a major downside, especially for the price!
the places abroad seemed to have a lot more to offer for the money. Or maybe its the adventure and vlogs that swayed me...

We was there few weeks ago love the new shops and the area. My son especially love the park that was very nice and clean. We will def go back again.
Great to see you both back in the UK 🙌🏿
What a kind and caring Traffic warden to ensure the ticket matched the yellow of the Ferrari badge 🙂
Enjoying the more regular uploads guys

The largest bedroom is smaller than the our smallest bedroom. But then we live in Lincolnshire, not London. 4K A month, that’s a good mortgage !!!

it would be more helpful if you shared the rental price based on hourly basis. thank you
Thanks great tour
Wow £1000 a week,you would need a lodger 😮
Lodgers Plural 😂
Hello Guys, could you show us street food vlog?
Battersea has an AMAZING restaurant called Joia, Should definitely Check it out!!!!😻
London is a dense city. Not a lot of open spaces and place to park a car.
It’s a white box.
IS it possible to find a 2/3 bedroom rental in Battersea areafor around 3K/month? Preferably new n unfurnished. Suitable for a family.
Cool video.
00:54 for 1000 p/w the bedrooms are small, and flat itself feels cramped, bland not worth the money at all
So small and so expensive ! A real scam...
I will take any lol. Dream flats

I'm assuming the rent includes the service charge
Yes it does
If you pay for those apartments, you will be the hunted. Damn! The world is crazy.

Just some polite feedback, you transitions made me dizzy, try to smoothen it out a bit
Did you say 2.4 million ? 😮its a nice flat but damm
Vote for Dubai Properties here! 🙋♀
Interesting
Cool man
007
Not enough room to swing a cat. wear would would you put all your stuff?
It should no be less than 500k , thats is degrading the area
This was the brainchild of Boris Johnson when he was London Mayor.
So expensive. 2 bed for £750 or ~A$1360.
It’s no wonder those lost whales died when they couldn’t their way back down the cesspool of the Thames River.
Why don't you open up the dishwasher and all the drawers and giggle like a pixie...
Honestly, I don't find these presenters professional in any way.
No character to any of the apartments, such a shame. Just white boxes.
First
Horrible area
