I love the H. Selby! I got one in September that came with spider mites, thankfully was able to rid it of that issue successfully, but I think this plant will need consistent preventative treatment for that. I have mine sitting on a pebble try, and had the same experience of this plant needing A LOT of water!
Hey, Thanks for the tips on the Selby. I purchase one thru the mail & it came with brown tips & edges from being in a bx for over 2 wks. I also gave it alot of humidity & bringing it back to life.I also was attracted to this plant for the foliage. This plant is new to me & seem like its becoming more known. Thanks
I just purchased Philodendron Fuzzy Petiole and she’s so pretty. I love the fuzzy stem they have. After three weeks of acclimating to my house environment she is looking so good up and perky. I gave her a moss pole last week and she’s liking it so far. I love how they come in full with many stems , leaves, bushy. She came in with 3 leaves ready to unfurl. I just took a cutting from her yesterday so I can have another one. They are pretty easy to care for! How is your Philodendron Fuzzy Petiole?
Hey Fearless. I actually chopped mine up to propagate...not going the greatest hahaha. It has been really slow to get new growth but in time I want to give it a plank to grow on. Glad to hear yours is healthy!!!
I also just purchased the Homalomena Selby and was so happy you did this video with tips on this plant! I'm in Michigan and luckily my apartments humidity stays in the 60% area. So hoping that will be enough humidity for her to be happy. Great haul and looking forward to any future videos on maybe propagation of this plant!
I learned the hard way about the homalomena lol. Keeping her moist, I managed to save her and what I enjoy is that it’s just one leaf after another, nice growth. Oh btw love the background music.
I’ve been really curious about the fuzzy petiole as it’s been showing up all over the place. I’ll wait a bit but my luck will be that when I do wanna take the plunge, they’ll be priced crazily.
👍, beautiful plants. Jeff. Nice 🙂 video.
Thanks Adele!

Thanks Lauren. I am fortunate enough to not have spider mite on it....how long have you had the plant for?

Went on my Christmas plant shopping spree yesterday and the Selby was one that I got. Thanks for the tips.
Oh nice.....one that you got....what else did you get?
Wow, you have my 2 dream plants ! I will begin my hunt for them here in California. Thank you for the video 🍃
Well I hope you can find them soon!

Thanks Theresa! 👍
Very beautiful plants. I’ve been tempted with hamalomena lately too.
They are so beautiful, but don't forget to water haha
@@EverythingPlants are they water greedy?
@@breakingburque2200 yup. I let a smaller homalomena get dry once and it was a goner
@@EverythingPlants good to know thank you
I just picked up a Selby also, I love it. I get what you say about water, I nearly fell prey to it but caught it just in time.
Have to keep a close eye on this one. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful
Thanks!
Hey, I just got the SP Fuzzy Petiole also. So far I’m loving it an noticed the sheaths of new leaves is kinda pink. 😀💚
Oh that is awesome! Where did you get yours from?
That's not the latin name for it. I recently watched a plant tour that had one. It was close to an hour long, sry.
Hi Jeff! The homlomena is boss😁. You answered this once before but I can't find it: where did you get your domes for the plants?
Thanks! I got the glass dome things from Jysk Canada.
I just bought these two plants 🥰
Awesome! Where from?

You wouldn't be disappointed. How much are they where you are?
I’ve seen them for $40-$60 US
@@suedub5156 ya, that's about 50-70 bucks Canadian....so pretty similar. Thanks!
Hi Jeff, I just saw a Fuzzy Petiole at Home Depot for $15 in a 6 in pot. Would you recommend giving it a go?
For that price....you bet!
💚💚
Thanks!
Just curious how much you paid for the philodendron? Sorry if I just missed it. Both plants are stunning!
It was 50 bucks plus taxes lol
