Kevin Willis (30pts/22rebs) vs. Celtics (1991)

- Atlanta Hawks' Kevin Willis enters the 16th game of the season averaging 16 points and 16 rebounds per game, much to Skip Caray's and Dick Versace's delight (and also surprise). The tired and old Boston Celtics were no match against him either as he out-muscled them for easy rebounds and points in the paint. Willis would finish the season at averages of 18.3 & 15.5 and earn his only All-Star Game appearance along the way. Something to look for - the high-five he gives coach Bob Weiss and the way Weiss has to shake it off afterwards. November 30, 1991.

Kevin was a great player.
Kevin Willis is very underated
Gotta love the late great Skip Caray on the call. Definitely his final season calling NBA games
This was a nice team....How long was this before `Nique was hurt?
edit}i stopped being lazy and googled.....this game was Nov 30, `91, his achilles injury was 1-28-92....Was averaging 28 ppg.. next season 29 ppg...Damn shame that ATL traded him...He should have been able to finish his career or at least finish his prime years there, where he had about 3-4 left....For some one who average 25 ppg in 56 playoff games, he surely is underrated, maybe the most underrated player of all time..... I would take him over 99% of the players drafted since he retired.
I think Alex English might be even more underrated
His -2 wingspan kept him from the HOF.
Otherwise, great player.
Enjoyed watching him.
Did Willis have a short wing span? I guess that explains his low shot blocking rate.
Kevin Willis had extremely small feet for his size too
He had a 6'10" wingspan at 7'0", same as James Harden has at 6'5".
good video
lol this high five
