A handsome set with some nice play features. I agree about the boxes, the modern design dents and tears easily, I'd much prefer the collector friendly options some toy makers offer with their products.
For me is important because it gives a lot of information and historical value too a set. A lot of sets from the 70ts and 80ts can be recreated with an online manual. It's the box original manual what is making it special for me. Thank you for watching
Personally, the alternative build on the left side of the back of the box depicting @2:05 has the best dimensions for a ladder truck. Add a few tools on the truck and you have yourself a great fire truck for your collection. Great video / review as always!
I recently discovered your channel. You are doing what I always dreamt of as a kid. I always wanted own every Lego Set from about 1974 until about 1990
Excellent box once again and I agree they are the better ones of the cardboard ones. But the ones with Styrofoam and flaps with container inside are the best ones 😅 (E.g. the premium 80's train sets)
I think those things that fold out to steady a vehicle like this or a crane are called "outliers", although I might be wrong about that. Anyway, the minifig putting one into position in those photos was a cute touch by Lego! I think this is quite an ugly set, unfortunately. I'm glad I clicked on the video, though, because I enjoyed what you had to say and show. You briefly showed a horsebox (?) set that looked interesting. I hope that will show up in a future episode. 😀
The four boxes I'm showing briefly are all videos from my channel already. The one with the horse is Legoset 6359: Horse Trailer from 1986, and can be found here! ruclips.net/video/jicZ7FID-P0/видео.html also the video about the snorkel pumper from 1979 is already on my channel and can be found here! ruclips.net/video/WyuyvjpBH4g/видео.html Thanks for watching!
I think I had this set as a kid. Great to see it again!
Thank you for watching!
I got this as a present when little :3
Great story!
some great alternate builds on the back of the box!
Yes indeed! It's cool! Thank you for watching

Thank you for your opinion and watching!
I had this one back in 1987 when I was just 7 years old. Great fun set even if a bit on the basic side.
Yes it's great. Thank you for watching!
Have you consider to make a video showing your whole collection ? It will be awesome to see them all together!
Yes I will do that in the future when my collection is complete! :-)
When I started collecting Lego I didn't pay much attention to the boxes, so I bought the sets without the box - something I bitterly regret.

Just correcting my own post: I said "outliers" but meant "outriggers". In my defence, I'm recovering from the flu! 🫣
I always like this set! It is well designed and offers a lot of playability.
Yes, it's great and a nice display piece.
@@henrysvintagetoys Totally!
3:59 I Guess safety for the smoke divers was not considered in Classic LEGO Town as you should never be less than 3 in a team going in 😏
Or just maybe there was no budget anymore to provide 2 :-)
I think I have this one.
It's a classic! Thanks for watching!
Police Command Base I have.
very cool! it's great!
