It was an OK movie and I agree Jennifer Loped did great in it, but I feel the influence of her dad in her, and the entire group's career is exaggerated taking advantage that he was so involved in the script, casting and the entire process, the final product made me feel like half of the movie was for fans of the dad and not fans of Selena. According to the movie, the only original thought Selena had was about the clothes, other than that, she was only following her father's instructions... After watching some interviews and shows, I don't think that's accurate, I think Selena had a lot of influence and decision over her own life and career, she was not just talented, but also smart and daring. And when you see what AB did later with the group "Cumbia Kings", I'm sure the rest of the family had their opinions, talent and decisions.
